The B&B is right next to the port, and it is very convenient to go out to the sea. It is ten minutes away from the airport. There is a beautiful private beach next to the airport, where you can let the buggy take you there or ride a bike yourself. The hotel has an outdoor restaurant, which is open all day and late, which is quite good. The hotel buffet is also OK. There is a terrace on the third floor with hammocks, lounge chairs and a gym, where you can relax. The room is very large, it is a two-bedroom and one-living room suite. Each suite has a public living room, balcony and kitchen, which is still very spacious. It is just that room 201 is very close to the mosque, and it will be woken up by the chanting at 4:30 every day. If you mind, you can communicate with the boss in advance to ask for a room with a different orientation.

I really enjoyed the hotel. The staff are very nice and welcoming. The manager named Ameen is a very nice man. The 2 ladies at the kitchen are very very friendly. The workers in general made me love my stay there. I highly recommend it

In October 2024, I was forced to cancel my paid reservation at the Stay Mikado hotel (2.5 months before the arrival date). The owner of the hotel, Ameen, said that he would return all the money for the cancelled trip. This is about $ 2,000. 4 months have passed. I periodically wrote to Ameen to clarify the refund deadlines, asking him to send at least part of the money. Each time he replied that he would return everything in the near future, but he constantly postponed the deadlines. And recently he stopped communicating altogether. I am starting to doubt the veracity of all the positive reviews on various platforms. The hotel itself may be good. But I want to warn all travelers that if you cancel your trip, you will not get your money back.

This place is pure magic! There is everything we could ask for: modern and super clean rooms,delicious fresh food,spectacular escursions and a special staff. We need to thank Ameen for taking care of every aspect of our Holiday, from the landing to Male to our departure. He and this staff are really amazing and you can really feel as you are a part of a big family. Of course the sea is beautiful especially in the nearby islands that you can visit daily. We spend there also the new year eve and it was by far the best one ever made, the organization was perfect and the private island is a little gem. Even with a couple of days of bad weather we didn't get bored thanks to all the possible activities: yoga session, gym, a lounge full of games ( ping pong, biliard and so on). I am looking forward for coming back in that paradise!

Stay Mikado is an absolutely beautiful guest house with awesome surfing, snorkeling, swimming or just relaxing on the private beach. The food is so fresh and tasty, the rooms super modern and comfy with air-con, and Ameen and his staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. We were surprised with a beautiful cake to celebrate our anniversary- the service and care was above & beyond. We surfed consistent fun waves which were uncrowded and suitable for beginners to advanced. We loved meeting people from all over the world and enjoying the local culture. After heaps of surfing, yoga on the open rooftop each evening was a treat. We also loved riding bikes around the island, or hanging in the games lounge and bar playing pool, table tennis and even a bit of karaoke! There is nothing I could recommend to improve our stay, we are already planning our next visit. It is such an affordable holiday with everything you could want on a stunning tropical island- just go!!

The hotel is good, clean, the staff is caring. The island is not so good. There is only 1 beach on the island (we walked around the island, there is nowhere to go into the water). There are 2 sun loungers, and if you do not come in the morning, then 90% of them will be occupied. The beach is 3, coral, nothing to do there without slippers. The island is also boring. For entertainment, they take you to a neighboring island for $ 30 per person.
