So, I’ll start at the beginning, the road! Don’t be put off by reviews. It’s pretty well made up, some of it is tarmac, and is a straightforward drive. I’m referring only to the section from Clearwater - we didn’t use the other access road so can’t comment. The resort is beautiful, a wonderful lake surrounded by mountains and trees, lovely log cabins, and lots of quiet time. There’s an alpine walk and a lakeside trail (which is a little more challenging than we expected) to enjoy, neither are over long. Kayaks and rowing boats on the lake can be used free of charge. Breakfast at the Boathouse Restaurant is good, plenty of choice and well prepared and you can sit outside beside the lake which is really nice. There are evening meals there too but we didn’t sample them - other guests said food was good. We had some tasty food at the Fireside Grill which is good if you don’t fancy the restaurant. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. TV and wifi if you want it but you might just sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view. Aircon is very good and was definitely needed during our stay in early September. Add to this friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay and it made an ideal stop on our tour around BC.
