Hilton Garden Inn Denver/Thornton

Nice hotel with easy access off and on freeway. Check in was easy and friendly. Did not receive the room requested even though we made the reservation several months earlier. Our room was clean and comfortable but the tub was very slippery and we had to be careful. The restaurant was decent and service friendly. But the food needed help as it was basically tasteless. Stay at the hotel but eat somewhere else.

The hotel just did not meet the quality we have had at other locations. When we checked in we were not given any information about the breakfast (important you ask). The room was accessible king with roll in shower. The room was big and bathroom fine. The power shade did not work and the air conditioner in the room rattled VERY LOUDLY. Interesting to note that there were 2 bottles of water in the room and there was a charge for the water unless you are at one of the higher Honors Levels. Now breakfast. Be prepared to pay for it. Again even the highest level Honors level will have to pay $10 per person. If you’re a Blue member as we are, it will cost you $33 for 2 people. So what do you get? Cold scrambled eggs (we came down at 7:00 am), cold bacon and if you’re lucky there will be some cold potatoes. They also had biscuits and gravy and juice and oatmeal. NO WAY was the food worth the charge and if we had known we would have gone elsewhere. On top of that they give you the option to tip. I served myself and given 2 of the serving dishes were empty I didn’t feel a tip was warranted. We asked to have our trash emptied when we left for the day. Came back to full trash cans. Didn’t happen. Internet kept going down. Would not recommend this location and we wouldn’t stay here again.

Great property with nice italian steakhouse attched to it and very close to shopping and coffee shops!

Clean

Spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The room and the hotel in general were very clean. Breakfast was good with quite a few options. Especially liked the oatmeal. Walking distance to outlets. Restaurants in the area were a close Uber ride away. Would definitely stay there again when visiting family.

Hotel was nice and new, check in was easy. The front desk was helpful at pointing out things around the property. She didn’t mention the hot tub was out of order, if we would have known at check in we wouldn’t have stayed. That was the whole reason we decided to stay there originally was because they had a hot tub. Water bottles in the room were $2 a piece, just didn’t seem very accommodating to guests. Room had stains on the ceiling, we probably won’t be staying again.

The overall stay was really good. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and nice. However, the beds and pillows are hard as rocks and there is no way to hang towels up in the bathroom. Additionally, the barn door in our room sounded like it was breaking every time it was opening and closing.

Enjoyed my 3 night stay. Staff great, beautiful restaurant.
