SpringHill Suites Tifton

Very nice hotel. I stayed 4 days in late September. Plenty of free parking. Efficient check in. My room was one bed; it also had a desk, mini frig, microwave, mini coffee maker and shower. Room was very clean and modern. Multiple USB-A ports are available. There is a TV with Netflix, YouTube, etc. Room was quiet. Bed comfortable. Breakfast was 6-9 am, but I went down around 540 am, and the food was ready. There is boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, grits, packaged waffles, sausage, whole fruit, milk and yogurt. Overall a very nice place. Only two things I would say is WiFi is slow, around 4-5 mbps, and toilet paper is a thin, one ply tissue, so bring your own if you need a plush two ply tissue. Everything fine otherwise.

We were headed south and we're planning a stop at the Okefenokee. We stayed here and it was great! Bed was super comfy. Room was clean and the staff was great! Breakfast ladies were kind and there to help with any of our needs, which was super early in the morning! Highly recommend!
Red Roof Inn Tifton

This was our second stop on our way from Toronto to Punta Gorda Florida. This was our first long trip with our 9 month old puppy. We’ve found in the past that Red Roof Inn’s are pretty much a crap shoot when it comes to the condition of the hotel. Honestly it’s hard to complain when paying the rate they have (last night we paid $50 extra at a Hampton Inn for the dog!) however we’ve experienced situations in the past where our safety was at risk. Happy to report that this Red Roof Inn was a good experience for the most part. The staff at the front desk was friendly and efficient and the lobby looked clean and tidy. Se requested a first floor room because of the dog and was instructed to head down a driveway where our room was next to the pool. We were quite happy when we entered the room. The room was clean and no carpet anywhere to be found. Decent area for the dog to sniff around and do his business. I don’t know if the pool was open or not but it looked extremely dirty to me. The grounds were well kept and clean. So far extremely happy with the surroundings for the price we paid. Now for the negative. We had a drunk guy right next door who played his old time country tunes full blast from 8:15 pm until 11:00 pm. He accompanied the music by belting out the tune (I mean screaming out) along with the song. We were exhausted from our drive and in bed around 830 trying our best to ignore the noise. It was before 1100 pm so the noise bylaw didn’t factor in here but just common courtesy (he petted our pup so he knew we were next door) would have been nice. We contemplated calling the front desk and requesting another room however we we settled in and in our pj’s so didn’t really want to haul our gear elsewhere. You can’t blame a hotel for the quality of its guests however I think the room rates attract some less desirable people staying there. It’s too bad because this RFI was decent overall.
