We had a pleasant three-day stay at this hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, situated between two large malls with plenty of shops and restaurants and within a reasonable cab ride to both George Town and Batu Ferringhi. The room was quite spacious but a little bit dated and worn down. It could use a refresh. The bed was very comfortable, however, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We enjoyed using the beautiful infinity pool. Service was friendly and efficient. One area that could use improvement is the breakfast. Although there is a good variety of items offered, many just weren't very tasty. The best thing on the buffet was the homemade ice cream. Overall, this is a good place to stay when exploring the island of Penang.

Everything is nice.. but the bathroom will flood when used. All the water split outside due to the bathroom does not have a door to cover or even a curtain to separate the bathroom and toilet. All combine together. The room only has one chair. Not enough for those who don't like to sit at the bed to eat food. Can hear ppl bang door loudly when midnight.

The location is great, walking distance to nearby mall & eateries. Room was spacious & decorated in luxurious style. Toilet was clean & equipped with bath tub which was a plus point for us.
Love the breakfast spread that consisted of various nice food choices & the waitresses was very helpful especially to elderly.
The only drawback was noise made by nearby hotel/ karaoke area at night.
Overall, its worth the money i've paid.

It was the first hotel to stay in Penang, with cost-effective and ideally located, close to some of Georgetown's attractions and cuisine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, there was also something to be aware of, as this hotel only offers public bathrooms and toilets. And the soundproofing of this hotel was not very good, at night you would hear the DJ sound of the next nightclub, until about 2 p.m.😮💨

Flamingo is a lovely, modest hotel with excellent service and a great location.
The pool is maintained to very high standard with the pool attendant happy, friendly, up for a laugh as well as entertaining the kids. The pool is closed between 11-12 for cleaning and the attendant takes this job exceptionally seriously so the pool is always immaculate.
There is a pool bar but service during the week is limited - better on weekends. Access to the beach is at the back of the pool and is less than ten steps into the water (although there is plastic in the water and apparently jelly fish at times but we didn’t experience that).
Rooms are basic and clean each with a balcony. I didn’t get the beach view and was disappointed when my friends were as their view was stunning.
The location is great with the aforementioned beach access but also a few great restaurants across the road, SAB Is a Malaysian restaurant with all sorts of food including banana leafs and breakfast. Next door is a Lebanese restaurant called Lebanese Garden which is pricy for Malaysia but very delicious. Home Cafe has decent European breakkie (again more expensive than SAB) and there is a local breakfast market 300’ away that is outstanding local food and does a night market on Tuesdays.

Nice place to stay.The parking area is too narrow. The parking ticket collection area is too high and unstable because my car gets stuck when I want to turn. If my car is lowered, I can't get in at all.

AAnonymous UserIt was a great experience staying in PARKROYAL Penang Resort. Greeted by their staff named Faisal and Shah at the entrance who assisted us to their waiting lounge. Served us with unique welcome drinks while waiting to be check in. The rooms are well maintained and the most important thing is.. it's clean. The housekeeping team did a great job too. Thumbs up to all the staff. Not to forget , the hotel location is surrounded by the street food and night market which is good for those who want to get a souvenir. Overall, am pleased with their tip top service. Well recommended!

ZZhi YiStayed here with my wife. Overall good experience. Hotel position themself as a top luxury hotel in Penang, but i think they can improve cleanliness at the public area, especially the public toilet. Accidentally bumped into the hotel back of house and the condition is quite bad. But overall the room is clean and comfortable. Hotel can improve further on the service as well. Sat in the lounge for a good 10mins but there are no one there.

We booked 2 Club rooms for party of 4 and upon checking in, the gentleman manning the front office was very kind and prompt in guiding us up to the club lounge to enjoy cocktail hours while he registered us for the rooms. That is what service is all about-making guests especially regular guests feeling welcomed. However food variety is limited to 3 hot items during evening cocktails 5-7pm . Rooms at level 16 are nice but strangely no pen or decent pencil were in the room when I needed to make some notes.

CCh_CHFirst time staying in Sunway Hotel Georgetown. Despite being smack in midst of town, the indoor car park was ample (unlike many other hotels that don’t provide private car parks) so this was a welcome facility we like because of our large vehicle. But driving around congested Penang is stressful, so we used Grab e-hailing to move around. Room was large, clean, facilities well placed, AC strong and the hotel staff were very obliging and responsive. Even the car park security guard was very helpful to guide us. Check in was efficient. There are many tourists staying here, but the lobby/main entrance was huge, and everything was well organized, so guests looked happy.
Hotel is located in New Lane, which is just next to the Lorong Baru hawker stalls. We were on a foodie trip, so having quick easy access to food early in the morning till late night was so convenient. The famous Charcoal seafood CKT is right here; don’t miss this! There is a convenience store just around the corner so you could buy sundry items if you missed anything.
Happy with this hotel and would come back again. We just booked another trip for October and Trip.com gave the lowest rate again. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserStayed here one night in family suites with 2 rooms with my 2 kids, the hotel is not far from Komtar penang. Parking is not an issue even for our MPV, their rotating car park with escalator can move the car into empty slot. Check-in is fast and we stayed at level 19th with nice city and some ocean view. Room is very big with a living room, master room with big washroom and changing cabinet, and another connecting room. Wifi is fast and there are 19 tv channels to choose from. Next morning we went for their gym at level 22, not very big but good enough with 5-6 workout machines. Breakfast is at level 21 buffet styles, choice is just nice, not many but food is ok with reasonable price, only RM21 per pax.

Service is friendly and amenities are delivered fast to the room when requested. Towel is big and clean. Soap and shampoo by crabtree. But I expect better quality bed slippers and toothbrush/toothpaste considering it's doubletree

Pool big and clean. But come early to avoid noisy kids and irritating people. Near the beach if you want to swim salty, just cross the overbridge.

GGuest UserWe really loved our stay! Favourite three things: the staff, the location, the most comfy bed ever. The staff was so kind and showed us around Georgetown and took us out for food. You do not find that kind of hospitality often. Honestly, I really recommend this great hotel - you will not regret it!

AAQ-AZmy POV , the room i stay was so great with seaview, and facilities in the hotel was good. the view is so nice, the pool and others in the room was good.
but there are several comment need to take note for all,
1. no air condition in the lift
2. If you take booking room included breakfast, please take note that, they will take so much time to topup the buffet food. during my stay, it looks like only have 3 workers , 1 in kitchen, 1 collect the plate and cup, 1 at the counter check in breakfast.
