Fairways Lodge B&B

My wife and I stayed at Fairways Lodge in May 2023 and we didn't want to leave. The owner was actually away, and his sister was looking after it. From the initial welcome, and throughout the whole stay till the time we departed we were given 1st class treatment. Our room was clean, tidy, well stocked with teas & coffee's etc, good shower, comfy beds and the view out of the window was absolutly spectacular. Breakfast. Absolutly spoilt for choice. Probably the best breakfast we have ever had in a B&B, Nothing was too much trouble, our water bottles were filled up every day for us, and even had flasks of coffee made for our Day Trip to Lunga Island to see the Puffins --- Something you JUST HAVE TO DO. Thank You Fairways Lodge. We will be back 10/10 --- Top Class --- A1

Perched high above the town with wonderful views. The room was spacious but I wasn't sure about the single beds - would have preferred a double but there wasn't one available. The owner very kindly gave me a taxi company number for our return journey from town in the evening.

Stunning views. Comfortable room/bed, decent linens, bath towels v small. Small fridge in room useful. Breakfast reasonable, but small plastic catering packs of marmalade- in Scotland! Previous (cheaper)B&B on our trip had copious home made jams etc. Owners/staff provided 'functional service' with little warmth. Didn't feel particularly welcome, altho man did give us some good directions. Greeted with' do you have a mask?' When packing up car to leave, lady ran out to collect room key, thinking we'd forgotten to return it. Handed it to her, however no ' safe trip, enjoy rest of holiday, thanks for your custom', just turned on her heel and walked away. Very odd and left a very poor impression!

I really enjoyed my one night's stay at Fairways Lodge, & would have stayed longer had a room been available. Perfect for an early morning run round the golf course, amazing views from the rooms, & an excellent breakfast! 10/10

We stayed here in the family room for 3 nights. Andrew was very welcoming and our room was spotless. The Breakfast was superb and plentiful. 10 minute walk to main street of Tobermory for Pubs & Restaurants.

Unfriendly. No warmth or smiles. Heating off. Had to ask how it worked. Unenthusiastic about providing more tea, sugar etc. However beautiful comfortable accommodation with excellent bedding.

Andrew was a lovely host. The lodge is beautifully situated and met all our needs.

This place is just perfect. Very clean and nicely decorated with lots of interesting bits in the public areas. Great location a short walk into town and the views are spectacular. Andrew was very helpful and knowledgable. The beds are comfy with lovely crisp sheets snd feather duvets and pillows and we had a great nights sleep. The shower is hot and powerful and we had a really lovely hot breakfast. Well done Andrew in running a very special gem of a place and complying with covid regulations. Highly highly recommended.

Very warm welcome by our host, showing us to our spotless, large room with an amazing view over the loch. Lovely spacious bathroom. Breakfast in the morning had lots of choice, all the food was delicious, as was the locally sourced haddock and kippers. The host was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed us in the direction of little hidden cafes and sights. It was a short, albeit downhill going, into the centre of Tobermory, and us two 63 and 70 came up the hill in less then 10 minutes, so not too bad! (Is a little rough path in places, and can be a bit muddy, so not done in evening attire) - if not drinking there is free parking in the town. We would highly recommend Fairways for the beautiful, spacious room, delicious breakfasts and the amazing view.
