Kamosu Mori

Born in Tokyo and raised at Keio University, my friends are mostly bad boys, most of whom graduated from Juku High School. This time, as a token of appreciation, I accompanied my wife along with my bad daddy friends from both families. "Let's eat a ton of delicious food, drink the best sake, take a dip in the hot springs, play board games and get drunk. The more we're bad, the more fun we have, it's pointless and pointless, but we want to have the best trip ever." Feeling guilty about our bad duo having fun in Minato Ward every day, we took our wives on a trip to Niigata. However, since we don't know much about travel, we came to a hotel recommended by a wealthy friend from Keio who is an experienced traveler. We arrived in Tokamachi on the local Hokuhoku line from Echigo Yuzawa. It was a wonderful, high-grade hotel, just as we expected, recommended by a wealthy friend. It's only an hour's drive from Echigo Yuzawa, which is now very crowded in the winter, and it's a little hidden away, but who would have thought that such a wonderful place would exist... It was an incredibly beautiful hotel. After a soak in the bath, we had dinner in the dining room, from which we could see the snowy scenery that spreads out from the entrance of the inn. The food was fantastic, made with the skills of a great chef and plenty of local ingredients. As the name "Kazumasu Mori" suggests, we enjoyed a hearty drink with the pairing course. The room was spacious and clean. Lovely! Jenga and board games were available to borrow for free, so we had a great night getting drunk. Breakfast was prepared by local ladies and included a variety of small dishes with Niigata rice! It was a fantastic trip with a full stomach.

As we could enjoy dishes made with ingredients from Niigata along with wines and sake only available in the prefecture, this was the perfect inn for my husband and I, who love alcohol. The alcohol and ingredients served were local, so it felt special to have come all the way to Niigata. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious and modern dinner course paired with alcohol that rivaled any restaurant in Tokyo. In the morning, we were served a Japanese set meal full of gentle, local side dishes, allowing us to enjoy the charms of Niigata from a different perspective. The alcohol served in the restaurant and hotel-made sweets were also available for purchase, so we bought our favorites before heading home.

My family and I stayed at a villa. Free alcohol ◎ Dinner and breakfast ◎ Clean rooms ◎ Service staff ◎ The hotel has been renovated and the cleanliness of the building is impeccable. The owner is a sommelier and sake taster, so his attention to detail is evident everywhere, but the staff are all friendly and smiling, and we were able to relax even with our children. We enjoyed plenty of alcohol pairings at dinner, and there was also free alcohol provided in the refrigerator in the room. We were intoxicated with surprise and delight. Thank you very much.

We visited the newly reopened villa at the Brewery Mori. Children from 6 years old can stay there, so we took our son with us. When we arrived at the inn, we were given a welcome drink while looking at the magnificent view of the snow, and when we moved to a villa a little further away, a magnificent view spread out there as well. The white-themed guest room was luxurious and very comfortable. There were also plenty of services, such as homemade pound cake, sake produced by Brewery Mori, and juice. There was also an open-air bath outside, where you could take a bath while looking at the snowy scenery. The curtains and large screen could be raised and lowered automatically, and you could watch video streaming services. For dinner, we had only carefully selected dishes made with local ingredients, and we enjoyed the pairing of sake, from sake to red and white wine. For breakfast, there were plenty of vegetables and side dishes that went well with white rice, which made us feel happy from the morning. There was a space for barbecuing below the villa, and it seems like it could be enjoyed even outside of winter, so we would like to visit again in a different season.
