Quality Inn

We booked through Priceline and got a great deal. We weren't ready for how great it was. Super clean, very comfortable, helpful staff, and inexpensive. I'd stay there again for sure. They had breakfast sandwiches to heat in the microwave, waffles, fruit, juice, yogurt, etc. Biggest surprise was how nice the room was.

This hotel has disastrous customer service and staff who don't care about guest satisfaction. Upon arrival, I was given a room with someone already in the bed, sleeping. After the surprise, I went to the lobby to get a different room and took my cart back to a room, and the card wasn’t even activated. At checkout, not only was I not compensated for the error that would have gotten me killed in some areas of the United States, but I was also charged an additional $14 that wasn't itemized on the receipt. When discussing my concerns with the manager, she stated that I should have made a bigger deal about their error on my check in. Keep in mind, I was driving across the country and was checking in at midnight. This hotel's rooms did not smell like they had been through deep cleaning in quite some time. The beds were comfortable though. The included breakfast wasn't very good - only chocolate muffins, plain bagels, and the waffle maker. I don't believe any characteristics about this hotel outweighs the safety concern I have with walking into an occupied room in Tomah, Wisconsin at midnight. Especially with no acknowledgment from the hotel except “sorry, I wonder who is in there?” and “you should have made a bigger deal about it.”

They said this was a non-smoking room however there was a very strong smell of smoke, along with a lot of deodorizer smelling things to try to cover it up! Animals were allowed as well, which is disturbing since I am allergic to both animals and smoke. When booking this we were told it was a non-smoking no animals room. Luckily we were able to open the window and get some of this aired out so we were able to tolerate the stay. The breakfast was very limited compared to many other that we have stayed at. It would be of the best interest of the owner of this comfort inn to check into these details.

Fair price clean rooms quiet. My only complaint was the breakfast bar was lacking. No juice or water available. For a one night stay on the road it worked well close to interstate but not so close u hear it all night. Bed had covers that could be washed after every guest.

After a rough night in a hotel in Illinois on a long trip, this was more what I expect from a Choice property. Friendly desk and staff, clean rooms, nice location with LOTS of food options within walking distance and a gas station across the parking lot, what's not to love? I'd stay again in a heartbeat.
