Jephson Hotel & Apartments Reviews

Location & amenities:  The location is the biggest asset of this nice independent hotel. It's near Toowong shopping center and the shops and restaurants that surround it, which include chemists & a 24 hour 7-11 convenience store. The hotel itself is home to the Katsuco Japanese restaurant on its ground floor- famous for its good Japanese food. There is free parking for guests, but the lots are limited (approximately 25 lots). There is free street parking along Sherwood road on the same side as the hotel. Hotel design, ambience, service:  The hotel lobby is cozy and compact, with a small seating area in front of the reception desk. Depending on the day of the week & time of day, the staff range from invisible to proactively polite & are generally nice. There is a lift to take you to your rooms over the three floors that it spans. Room design, comfort, acoustics: (deluxe King) The rooms are decently sized- with adequate room for luggage and sufficient points for charging. There is an ironing board, kettle, room safe, free tea bags, the usual soaps & conditioners and moisturizers provided. The bathrooms are well designed with a nifty smart/switchable/ dynamic glass looking into the bedroom. The shower head is a rain shower type - definitely giving it cred. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable indeed- standout & remarkable. There are blackout curtains which work well. As for the acoustics- overall decently quiet given the location at the corner of a busy crossroad. Noise from the corridor does seep in depending on your neighbors. There is also the usual mild hum & grumble from the bar fridge & whine from the air conditioner. The occasional street car cacophony can be heard during the day, but generally it's quiet at night. So a good night's sleep is mostly achievable. Overall: At the risk of making it more popular than it already is, this is a highly recommended property outside the city, with free parking. Will return if in the area!

Lovey hotel. Great location and service. It was clean. Maybe bathroom window was kinda werid. But I stayed alone so how gives a dawn.

Fortunately, I only booked 2 nights. Although the front desk and housekeeping staff were very nice, the wifi signal was very poor and it was disconnected as soon as I logged into Ctrip. I couldn't pay for the third day's order.

The location is excellent, and it is very convenient to eat. It is located in Chinatown, but the hygiene is poor, the room is small, the sheets and bedding are a bit dirty, and the mattress is worn out. I will not choose this place in the future

The room size is okay, but the service is very poor. No one is on duty at night, and emails are not answered in time. The service is very bad. After the service is completed, the invoice is not issued for a long time.

It's next to the shopping mall next door, which is very convenient. The environment is very good and not far from the city. Have the chance to choose again

The hotel is not bad. I send my children to the University of Queensland. It costs 20 Australian dollars to take a taxi to the school. There is just a small problem with check-in. Ctrip's service is very good and it was solved later.

The hotel is clean, fresh and the staff are most obliging. We stayed there as it was close to where our daughters wedding was to take place. Had no problem parking under the hotel. It is very close to Toowong Village Shopping Centre and there are plenty of eating places in the vicinity including a Japanese Restaurant downstairs I would recommend that as place to stay as the city is just a short bus or ferry ride away. 5 stars all the way

Hotel is new, clean and furnishings are perfect. Rooms are very dark and beds are comfortable. There are no laundry facilities at the hotel. I walked a hilly 17minutes to wash clothes (don’t recommend). I think the hotel would benefit by having a communal laundry facility available for guests. Also parking should be monitored as I was unable to park at facility one night.

Great value Hotel. Free parking which is a bonus in Brisbane as some Hotels charge upwards of $60 per night extra. Very clean, modern and location in Toowong is ideal as only a $20 cab ride to Suncorp and Southbank. We stayed 2 nights in basic room which was very spacious, well equipped with excellent shower size and facilities. All staff were friendly and efficient. Will be our Go To for weekend trips to Brissie in future. Excellent Japanese restaurant on ground floor
