Chestnut Residence and Conference Centre - University of Toronto Reviews

Toronto is a beautiful city, I would visit again, but probably would choose another hotel. The location is wonderful, within walking distance to many places like Kensington market, Chinatown, and Harborfront. Our room looked out onto the Toronto sign in Nathan Phillips square, Eaton Centre shopping mall is less than a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is not conventional, it is a student dorm for University of Toronto students, you are staying in a college dorm room. The room is spacious but the amenities are old, basic and outdated. Parking is not included, underground parking garages are available around the hotel for about 26 CAD/day. Breakfast is self-serve in the cafeteria, it’s good enough to fill you up but the food is nothing special.

The place is walking distance to tourist attraction

Decent accomadation for someone wanting to stay downtown for a decent rate, would go back again for sure

Stayed for four nights, no one ever came to clean the room But the room was big enough and generally comfortable

The location is good, it's in downtown, convenient to go everywhere, there are many Asian restaurants downstairs. But the facilities are very old... It feels like a hotel that has been around for many years. It is a conference hotel for the University of Toronto.

Apart from the location, I would not recommend it. The room smelled stinky and there was nothing in it, not even a desk lamp or a hair dryer, and the facilities were old.

The breakfast is good. It's very close to the U of T and union station, so it's convenient to travel.

There are no slippers, and no one does room cleaning! The air conditioner is still an old window machine! There is no drinking water, no hot water, and it is extremely difficult to adjust the heating and cooling of the bathroom, either freezing to death or scalding to death!

It is a well placed place, clean, comfortable and with exceptional service. Recommended.

This place is a student dormitory, used to receive tourists after the students leave in the summer. The location is very good, in the city center. The facility in the room is a student dormitory. But the breakfast was very good.

Hotel cost-effective

General Oh, services and facilities are very general.

這個公寓就是學生公寓，裏面很舊，設施也不好，水龍頭都生銹跡了，選這裏主要想着離多大近，地理位置好，下樓就是一整條食街，離市政廣場很近，大概走幾百米5分鐘就到，因為價格不便宜性價比不高，入住後發現同價位可以入住更好的酒店，下次不會再選擇。

Dining staff was not friendly. Never looks at the eye. They just turn away their face and answer as if the customers are not there.
