Ideal rural location for visiting Monfrague, Cacares, Trujillo, etc. Good well marked walks from the palacio. Relaxing garden to sit in. Charming and hard working hosts running a working farm with sheep, pigs, geese, etc. High quality home cooking, often with own farm produce. Very comfortable and very clean. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. We loved hearing the dawn chorus and watching the resident swallows.

This place is so amazing, total peace and quiet, very comfortable rooms and excellent food, it was so lovely sitting having dinner and watching the sun set, and only hearing the sound of Carmen's sheep, cows and geese. Carmen is the perfect host, she made us feel so welcome, we thoroughly enjoyed all the homecooked meals. Really enjoyed swimming in the pool too.

El lugar es único, a poca distancia del Salto del Gitano. La hospitalidad está asegurada y la cocina está muy rica. Sin embargo, la cama que nos tocó era muy vieja y los muelles se te clavaban en la espalda. Si la cama hubiese sido cómoda, el lugar tendría una valoración buena. No obstante, un lugar para el descanso sin descanso pierde sentido.

Family estate going back several generations and Carmen is the granddaughter of the portraits in the foyer. Rural charm, home cooking and lots of animals. We got to feed the black Iberian pigs. Only awkward thing was she never offered for us to have a beer or glass of wine on the patio. We did have wine with our meals.
