Nice hotel very well located in a beautiful place. Our bedroom was big and comfortable, the view was nice, the crew were professional and kind. The breakfast wasn’t big but very tasty and enough for us, and it’s local products ( jam, pastries etc). We really appreciate this hotel and we highly recommend it. They

We spent two nights on a great package for 55+ patrons. We paid a small upgrade fee to get a sea view room which we considered was excellent value. Overall the room, although dated, was very clean, beds comfortable and generally well appointed for a three star hotel. The quantity and speed of the hot water to the bathroom was probably the best we have experienced over the past twenty years of travel. The views exceptional! Unfortunately the dining experience was not of the same standard. On the first night we were informed that the only dining options was a buffet. Not great fans of buffets at the best of times, we agreed after being assured that there was a'fresh' buffet for our agreed buffet time of 9.30pm. Apparently they had group of 80 for the 7.30 time option. We took the 9.30 option in these Covid times to avoid large groups of people. We are just getting back to dining and travel after a two year absence. Well to say we were disappointed is an understatement. The food offered was appalling. The pork and tuna were just luke warm and over cooked from being kept constantly warm. The fries cold and soggy. Salads look liked the seaguls had attacked. Nothing look appetising at all. Hundreds of fruit flies buzzing around the dessert table. We raised our concerns with the manager who tried his best to explain. A very hard task when you looked at the food on display. We asked about the 'fresh' buffet only to be informed that fresh food is only brought out when the existing plate emptied. A different stiry to the one told in reception when booking. We would have gone somewhere else if we were in a city like Lisbon, but already after 10pm there are no other dining options close by. So the choice was now buffet or no dinner. We weren't even offered room service of a freshly cooked a-la-carte meal. After a long discussion, mainly with my partner who rarely eats meat and only white fish, we were promised a freshly cooked meal of pork and tuna. The chips were great, hot and crispy but the meat and fish just reheated, still only warm and very dry. A complete disappointment Breakfast was a little better the following morning but very limited hot options. Dinner the second night was at a local restaurant only ten minutes walk. Fantastic compared to our first night experience. Fresh, tastier and cheaper too.

Room was very nice, clean and spacious with a beautiful view. Staff was friendly, food had good choices. Business facilities were good, although air conditioning in conference room could have been a bit easier to control. Hotel is located in a beautiful area, bit far from the city.

The most recent wing with balcony, the construction is contemporary with modern materials, the bed is good, the bathroom is wide, the area is reasonable and there is a small refrigerator. What is the most different is to have the sea at about 50 meters...e the sensation is to be on the sea, which is heard in an intensity that does not bother but relaxes ... View through the window and the sea is there ... The restaurant is even closer and is where the Small lunch, very complete and tasty is served! Access to the SPA is free ...a swimming pool is good, like jacuzzi, Turkish bath and sauna. nice and hygienic care and qto, all clean ...

We stayed as part of a small group on a walking holiday over the New Year. We liked our room despite having a view of the car park - this didn’t bother us. Reception quickly provided a kettle and sachets of drink for our room when asked. The group used one of the conference rooms on several occasions and it was good. We could not complain about the breakfast - the buffet was very extensive. Dinner was very good too and had several food options with enough to suit our vegetarian members. The staff were extremely helpful and personable both in the restaurant and at reception. New Year’s Eve dinner was exceptional and the whole evening was memorable from the free flowing drinks and canapés reception onwards. My husband used the spa and rated the massage as very good . It’s a shame the indoor pool is only 1 metre deep though! We found the hotel well maintained and clean. We’d like to come back in the future as we’d like to spend more time in Ericeira.

Upon entering the Aethos Ericeira Hotel, located on a former cliff farm on the west coast of Portugal, we were immediately greeted by an ambiance of understated luxury and comfort. The breakfast was well cared for with plenty of choice of freshly prepared dishes. However, the dining area can feel a bit cramped at full occupancy of the hotel, especially in the off-season when it's less pleasant to sit outside. Nevertheless, the start of the day was always pleasant with a delicious breakfast in a charming setting. We recommend renting a car, as the nearest beaches are not easily reached on foot. Both Ericeira and the nearby Santa Cruz are nice villages to visit. For a day trip, it is worth driving to Praia Carvalhal in Comporta (about 2 hours drive) and enjoying the beautiful nature and a delightful lunch at the Sublime Comporta Beach Club. Another thrilling day trip is to Nazaré, known for its massive waves where die-hard surfers set world records. With waves that can reach up to 25 meters high, it's a breathtaking spectacle that attracts surfers and spectators from all over the world. What we particularly appreciated was the flexibility and understanding the staff showed when our daughter fell ill a day before our departure. Without hesitation, we were allowed to stay a bit longer in our room on the day of checkout, which made a world of difference in our situation. A downside was the lack of price lists for items in the minibar and spa treatments. It would have been helpful to have a clear overview of the costs for these extras. An extra word of appreciation is in place for Veronica, Andre, and Bruno, each of whom contributed to our great experience with a smile and a personal touch. And of course, our thanks to everyone we may have forgotten to mention, you all made our stay special.
