Motel Torrey

The room had everything we needed. The microwave wouldn’t power up, but we didn’t need it. The view from porch and out the window was beautiful. Be sure to go away from the town to see dark sky. We saw a ufo besides the Milky Way. The owners were very helpful.

Easy to reserve, the morning of arrival received code for our room door. Motel Torrey was clean. Ice available. Pretty close to Capital Reef NP. Parking right in front of our room. Coffee and coffee cups with logo in our room, nice touch. Good communication with updates.

Very comfortable room and great location to Capitol Reef NP. I love staying at an old school motor lodge, this one is nicely renovated. Nice and quiet area. Easy check process with the text for the key code. The electric tea kettle is a nice touch too.

Hotels in this area are very expensive and there are not many to choose from. The Motel Torrey was less than most and had excellent reviews. The minute I walked in I knew why. Don’t let the modest outside fool you, the room was so nice and clean. I love the solid flooring, and it looked brand new. So many cute special touches have been made to the room and it is BIG! I love rooms with two chairs and a table to work on and share. Not having to sit on the beautiful white duvet with the sweet soft blanket tucked into the corner—such a nice touch! The tub is beautiful and white, fixtures all new and a large sink vanity. Even though breakfast is not included there is coffee, cocoa, etc. in the room, a frig and microwave…plus a sweet bakery just down the street. We love being able to check ourselves in the room without a wait. We love this motel. Just perfect and gentle on the pocket! NO weird smells - so clean!

It's a great, simple, clean, place. Comfortable beds. Throwback to a simple motel without added fees and unneeded services. Updated nice room, microwave, little fridge. Super simple check in process. No complaints at all. Would stay again.

Excellent room for the night. Appreciated all the extra touches like electric kettle for tea and mugs. The room was very clean and quiet. Walls were a little thin and outside light shone into room even with blackout curtain but would definitely stay again

Motel Torrey is a gem. Cute, quaint, clean, comfortable. We didn’t interact directly with management, door code was sent upon confirming the reservation, which worked great. We enjoyed sitting outside in brightly painted classic lawn chairs, taking in the beautiful evening and chatting with fellow guests. The only small issues were that the GFCI outlet by the sink popped when a hairdryer was used, and wouldn’t reset, and the ice machine wasn’t working. No big deal. They provided complimentary coffee mugs, which was nice. I’d go out of my way to stay there again.

Basic, clean accommodations that felt safe and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights. We are very budget conscious, and of the 7 places we stayed in Utah, this was most what we wanted - clean/basic/comfortable and good value. Good shower pressure. Nothing fancy but we weren't looking for fancy - we just wanted a clean, pleasant place to sleep and rest and shower. I wish that there was a Hotel Torrey every place we visited in Utah!
