Hotel Kaijokan

I stayed here on a tour around Shikoku. On the same day, several tours including Yomiuri Travel, Trapics, and JTB stayed at the hotel. There are no luxury hotels around Cape Ashizuri, and they all seem to be of the same grade. It seems that the area around this area has had a tough time during the coronavirus pandemic, and many hotels and souvenir shops have gone out of business. It was a pretty run-down hotel, but it was interesting because you could feel the Showa era atmosphere. It was nice to have a view of the Pacific Ocean from the room. Cape Ashizuri is about a 20 minute walk away, but I think you can come back in about 1 hour and 30 minutes even if you go around the area. I agreed to have a partition with other tour guests for meals, but I was a little disappointed as the food there seemed to be more luxurious. The hot springs also look like public baths, which is a bit disappointing. The surrounding area is dark, so if it's clear you can see a sky full of stars.
