The location is fantastic. Although the hotel does not have any private parking, there is free parking all around the building so was easy to find a convenient spot. The main town centre is about a 20 minute walk away however there are lots of local restaurants near by. We booked our stay through the TRIP website stating we needed parking and a dog friendly hotel. Neither were true, no hotel parking and no dogs allowed although the hotel were great and still allowed us to stay with our hound. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious enough and the bathroom was ensuite. No complaints. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

As someone already wrote, we were asked for the deposit (my case was 50 euros per night). I understand that the hotel would like to have the guarantee however it seems that it is a bit expensive compared to the room (46 euros per night). Otherwise the characters are nice, I find the hotel to be very clean. We can advise you to book it.

I was only 1 night and the truth is that it was very good, very comfortable to rest and everything very clean. I would go back without thinking. The only bad thing is the hours that it is only open until 11 at night, and if you are going to visit tours you have very limited hours to enter the hotel

I actually spent more than on a budget hotel to come here as I thought it would be more sociable. The reception staff are friendly and the bar area is nice. Bike storage is good although the door got left open a lot. The room was small, no problem, and clean, but had no chair and because of a protruding picture on the wall you couldn’t sit lengthways on the bed, only sideways. So in the bedroom you can only lie down or stand, effectively. Maybe I was unlucky but there was a group of schoolchildren who chatted noisily outside my room to 1130 when the teacher arrived to put them to bed. The kitchen was very small so it’s not like a uk hostel where most people cook and there’s lots of chat. The “chill out room” was set up as a meeting room, so not so chilled but at least somewhere I could sit down with my laptop, although 4 floors from my room. Oh and when I went to the restaurant, which looked good, I went in, no staff appeared, there were people eating there. I went to the serving hatch to be told the restaurant was closed. I couldn’t see any notice saying this. So ok, but not very cosy or comfortable.

This is the second time I have stayed at The People. Everything perfect. Clean, friendly. Perfect location. Definitely recommend this place. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Showers were strong and hot. Very close to metro station and about a 5-7 minute walk from Bastille

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.clean, comfortable and location was perfect in centre of tours. Tram was short distance away and supermarket ,shops an restaurants all within close proximity, Nothing was trouble to the staff and itfelt more like a hotel vibe than a hostel. The beds were excellent and comfy and wash facilities an toilet in your room. Great outside area at the back of hostel to socialise,eat food or just chill with a drink. Would highly recommend this place to all age groups.

Clean rooms and friendly staff, but the fact that you have to hand over your bank card to the staff is completely unacceptable, especially considering other hostels in the same chain do not request it.

We stayed one night at this fun hostel located in a convenient area of Tours. It’s an easy walk to the center of town. However we were glad that the hostel has a bar which also offered a a few snack ps. When we arrived (very hungry from a long day of travel), we were able to relax with a drink and a cheese/meat platter. They also provide luggage storage if you arrive before check in time. There is also a restaurant, which we didn’t try because it opened later. We reserved a private room with bath that was small, but comfortable and quiet. We had a great night’s sleep and would recommend the hostel for a short stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
