Hot spring Hotels in Toyooka

Love this quaint little ryokan at Kinosaki! The service is friendly although not much English is spoken there. Expect the staff to introduce you the amenities of the ryokan such as the free first-come -first-serve private onsen (there are a total of 4, but recommend the one named Hana because it's the newest and the nicest). The room itself is tiny but comfortable. There is no shower in the room, so would have to take the shower at the onsen or at the ryokan's own onsen. The room package came with kaiseki (we had the snow crab one) and it was delicious with pretty looking food. The blanket was thick and comfortable, perfect for the cold weather. There was not much view from our room.

Looking at the five-star rating on the Internet, let's talk about the real staying experience. After arriving at Kinosaki Onsen, there will be a unified bus from the town to pick up and drop off passengers to their respective hotels. Nishimura is located near the JR station. If there is not much luggage, it is recommended to walk around because there are too many people on the bus and crowded people. Box-to-box, it is very decent for accommodation at this price. There was no welcome after getting off the bus. It rained on the day and felt a messy group of people entered the front desk. The lady who received me and introduced the hotel situation on the day spoke good English. Although there was a little accent, there was no obstacle in communication. After check-in, Zhongju's room service was relatively difficult to communicate. Although the whole service was smiling, the communication was relatively laborious. I personally think that in addition to Matsuba crab is very fresh, in fact, you can also eat such kaiseki dishes in Beijing. Depending on my personal choice, I don't think I have a particularly amazing feeling. If you often eat Japanese food, I personally think that It's better to go to town to eat a food stall. I need to give the keys to the front desk for safekeeping when going out. The two grandpas at the front desk are very cute at night. I choose which kind of slippers to go out for the soup and help me with the right clogs. I also ran and brought my own shoes to ask me Don't wear your own. The breakfast the next morning was really unaccustomed to eating, basically did not eat, and being knocked at the door at 7:20 was too painful for the Lai bed clan. We stayed at this ryokan with onsen for one night in August. The journey from Kyoto takes around 2.5 hours with Japan Rail - some connections go without changing. It's about 700-800 m from Kinosakionsen train station. When you leave the train station, you can either walk across the street and a few steps to the left and lock your large suitcase in the locker (but not too big please, our standard hard-shell suitcase was one a few millimeters too deep) or have your suitcase delivered to your room door a few steps further to the left for just 200 yen. Upon arrival at the ryokan there was a very friendly welcome from an owner who spoke good English. He explained everything in detail and took countless greeting photos of us with our cell phones. Afterwards we were accompanied to our room by a young lady and tea was poured at the reception. The accommodation has 11 rooms. The anteroom of the ryokan, where you have to leave your luggage and slippers, is very small, actually too small to be able to unpack halfway. The room itself is sufficiently large. As is usual in ryokan and Japan, there is little storage space. Everything very clean and well-kept. There is a toilet and sink in the room, but there is no shower, that's what the onsen is for. A total of two onsen - one outside and one inside like in a cave. Both really beautifully done. In the evenings the onsen were “private” - you wait until one is free, then go in, lock it and have it to yourself. The room price also includes entry tickets to the city's seven public onsen. We only briefly used a public onsen “around the corner”, the ones in the neighborhood appealed more to us. After dark we took a longer walk through the very beautiful place. The area is centrally located - but of course still quiet. A Family Mart is just 100 m away. We had booked with breakfast, which is consumed in the room. You choose a time slot - for us, 8.30 was the latest option. Be careful, get up in time, there was a knock at our house at 8:15 a.m. and the young lady first put our futons away - so don't worry about turning them to the side again when the alarm clock rings at 8:00 a.m. The Japanese breakfast is unusual for a Central European, but why not get to know other breakfast habits? The young lady who brought and prepared breakfast was busy with everything for at least 10 minutes. Check out by 10 a.m. at the latest. The owner was kind enough to drive us to the train station by car. I have rarely experienced so much hospitality in a neighborhood. Would I book it again? Almost 200 euros per night for 2 people including breakfast is anything but cheap, but the experience is certainly worth it. A clear recommendation from me if you want to experience something other than a hotel room.

The exterior looked old, but the interior was in good condition. The baths for men and women are changed depending on the day. When I went in at night, it was early and there weren't many people, so I went in slowly. The open-air bath only allows outside air to enter, but you cannot see the outside scenery at all. I took a different bath in the morning, but the open-air bath was under repair. It may be a little strange for people who place a lot of importance on the bath. You can also visit the outside baths, so it might be a good idea to enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content. I don't know. The view from the room was on the opposite side of the river, so I could only see the back of the building, but the four-person room was divided into a Western-style room on the first floor and a Japanese-style room on the second floor, so it was a relaxing stay. Dinner and breakfast were buffets, and there was quite a lot of variety. Since the restaurant was fully booked, more dishes were added one after another, so there was never a time when I couldn't get what I wanted. For dessert, there was also soft serve ice cream, which the kids were happy with. After deciding to stay at Kinosaki Onsen, I was torn between choosing a small ryokan, but in the end I think it was a good value for money.

The food is delicious, the cospa of comfort twin and universal twin (although there is no view) is good, and this is the third stay. You need to walk a little or take the inn bus to visit the outdoor hot springs, but it doesn't bother you in a pleasant season (laughs). If you like long-established inns, I think the main building or another inn is better, but this is the best for me who likes twin rooms. The convenience of staying at a city hotel while enjoying the hot water in Kinosaki. The comfort room is not wasted in the size of the walk-in closet, the functionality of the washbasin and toilet, and the shower room. I really liked it. The view is also important in the sea inn, but this room with good cospa is pushed in shirosaki. The towels are from the front desk when going to the outdoor hot spring, and the large communal bath in the inn is full of bath towels and face towels. The past two visits in August, and the outdoor hot springs and inns were lively (noisy 々), but the GW was quiet and I enjoyed the outdoor hot springs, inns and meals. I will visit you again. Far from the hot spring town, we didn't go to the 7 pools in the town. The public soup pool is not very interesting. The hotel also has public baths, as well as free Yakult for drinking soup. Although writing 12 o'clock check-out, the hotel's last bus to the station is 11 o'clock. You can go to the town after you store your luggage at the station, eat the horse butt bun, and then take the 2 o'clock to the city of Osaka.

The location is a little distance from the hot spring village, but it is not too far, it is to take ten minutes more, but the whole village is not big, the hotel also has a shuttle bus, in fact, convenient! The hotel has a history of more than 100 years, the facilities are a bit old, but it is quite clean and a bit historical. The hotel staff is very welcoming, especially the waiter in the restaurant, very kind! The hotel's own hot spring is a special feature, providing a shower gel shampoo conditioner, a cleansing milk facial cleanser, a facial mask and a toothpaste toothbrush. It is more complete than the outside hot springs, and the environment is relatively comfortable. There are open-air pools and saunas! Hotel food is a whole pine leaf crab in winter, very rich!

We had a great time at this Ryokan. It’s a few minute walk from town but reception will gladly organise free shuttles for you, especially in the evening between 4-10. Less than 5 mins in the shuttle to anywhere you’d like to go in town. Food was abundant. We eat a lot, but portion sizes were a bit too much for us. Two whole crabs each on the first night, then what felt like half a cow the next day :) dinner and breakfast were fresh, plentiful and varied. Room was spacious and quiet. Lovely view of the garden. Only futons available with bean pillows but they were comfortable enough. Each gender has 4 baths to choose from - indoor, indoor jacuzzi, outside warm bath, outside plunge pool. These are clean and welcoming. Plenty of lockers but we found it quite quiet to visit even though it was fully booked. You get a private room for your dinner and breakfast and it will be the same one for your whole stay. Really happy with our time here.

The hotel was very welcoming And a good location but a slightly away from downtown. Easy walk the roads were great. We had two rooms one western style. The other Japanese both are comfortable. Or stay included dinner. They were also very accommodating to some apologies and preferences. Definitely will stay again. The town is wonderful and well worth going to be onsens
