Les Villas d'Arromanches, Teritoria

A room with simple furnishings, but a good size. The pool is quite small, but new and clean. We wanted to spend one night on this trip in a hotel with a pool by the sea. It was very difficult to find a seaside hotel with a pool on our itinerary. Only later did we realize that it is quite cool here by the sea and the weather is often not warm enough to swim in the pool. However, we were lucky, the weather was very warm when we arrived. It is a 5-7 minute walk to the beach and the city centre, but there is not much to do there, unless you are interested in the Normandy landings. 1.5 hours was enough for us to go around the whole city. It was one of the few hotels on our trip to France that had an OK selection of salty breakfast. The selection was not very large, but scrambled eggs as well as cheese and ham were offered. WiFi was of OK quality. I wanted to buy a selection of snacks and some drinks from the bar in the evening and pay for it immediately. They said I can pay now but I still have to tell them my room number as they have to record who ordered what so they can buy new products instead the next day. I couldn't understand why they couldn't use the bar's inventory or the cashier's statement to order new products. It's not a big problem, but I don't like someone keeping a record of what I order and eat, and on this occasion I missed those purchases and instead enjoyed in the hotel's lounge area the good food and drinks I bought in the store earlier the day. We asked for a quiet room, but we got a room above which there was a wooden staircase to the upper floor, and every step taken on the stairs could be heard clearly in the room.

A wonderful stay during the Normandy DDay 80th Celebrations. Such a central location and only around a 10 minute walk from the town of Arromanches and Musée Du Débarquement. Only around an hour each way to the furthest beaches, Utah one and Sword the other (and Omaha, Gold and Juno in between). Beautiful rooms, we had one ground floor room with access from outside, perfect for my dad with mobility issues and a top floor room which were both spacious, clean and modern. Plenty of parking, and even after long days out, was never without a space. The swimming pool was also perfect. Lovely and warm. The breakfast was tasty and fresh with a range of meats, pastries and fruit and the staff were lovely. We will definitely return for our next visit to Normandy.

This is a beautiful villa! Our room was very comfortable and clean and featured a fabulous water view. The buffet breakfast was filled with breads, meats, cheeses, fresh orange juice, coffees and all we needed to start our day of exploring. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the location and the easy walk to town. The villa has a lovely outside sitting area, but unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to enjoy it. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Very nice stay in early June. Comfortable, clean rooms to return to, after visiting the many D-day sites close to the hotel. Lovely outside patio area, cozy bar area off the lobby, and delicious breakfast each morning. And added perk was the very reasonable and efficient laundry service drop-off and delivery. Another highlight was watching the D-Day fireworks over the beach, from our room! Easy walk to town and restaurants, and just up the road from the cliff walk overlooking the beach. Special place to stay - really enjoyed it.

Well priced, clean and a nice breakfast buffet. Great for the price and a fairly short walk to downtown.

Last minute booking and what a find. Perfect for a short break in Normandy Welcoming, lovely bedrooms and a fantastic breakfast to keep you going all day!
