Hotel service is attentive. There are breakfast and afternoon tea, although there are not many varieties, it is not bad to eat around the hotel. There is a canteen downstairs, you can choose more. The room is large, with kitchen utensils, and you can buy it yourself.

The stay was good and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful with my needs. There were stores close by wish was great and doordash easily found the hotel as well. Would recommend this hotel fot a quick overnight stay away.

Really enjoyed this location. Booked last minute and the rate was fair. Our two rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Your standard home2 suites location. Employees were nice and friendly and there's a lot of stores and places to eat nearby. On the weekends they are a stop for the free trolley into bordentown city where you'll find small shops and cute restaurants. Would recommend if you're in town and need a place to stay!

Great service. Staying another night. Room was clean. Bathroom spigot had some rust and goo break off from inside spout as I tried to create a full bath but I cleaned it with tissue and had no other complaints. Keurig, microwave, sink area were clean. Not much furniture.. sparse except for chair but I liked that. Room to stretch and do exercise. I will stay again for the value. Brought my own food so I didn’t try the free breakfast but Ive stayed at HIX in the past for business and the breakfast is actually nice.

Poor first impressions. We showed up for a one night stay. First off the main door is broken and everyone has to squeeze thru. With luggage it’s a chore We arrive at the checkin desk to find an associate sitting behind on her phone. She greets us and we indicate we are here to check in. She tells us she’s the only one here and she’s on her break. She will be with us in (checks watch) 10 minutes We literally sat there watching her stare at her phone for 10 minutes. At which point she jumps up and is like “ok I can help you now” I get that people are entitled to breaks. But how do you have ONE person manning the front desk area? I don’t fully blame her but it literally took her 72 seconds to check us in…. It’s a shame cause the location is convenient. Rooms are dated tho. From the outside it looks new and modern. Inside not so much.

We only had the experience with one room type, a large room with a balcony on the second floor. I know they have smaller rooms that might have been remodeled. But having said that this room we got was dirty (dead flies, spots on the carpet all over, coffee stains on a bathroom wallet ). The heating system is a built in electric heater, quite old and fairly noisy. You can see the room was not properly updated for a while, maybe never. The bed sheets, blanket, pillows all quite sub par. We only stayed one night so did not push for a room change because of that. But I recommend you look at the room before moving in if this is possible. While the bones of this property are amazing, it needs updating.

Here’s the positives: staff are friendly and accommodating, room was clean and the price per night is not bad at all as they gave us a suite plus breakfast included though I understand that because of the pandemic, foods are prepacked but guests should have a way to toast their breads or bagels for better taste than heated thru a microwave which makes them soggy. They have mini snack bar with a good selection to fill your cravings.
Negatives: first and most of all, hotel should have informed or specifies in the website that their pool is closed. We’ve been to other hotels in PA with pools open even during pandemic. They have a daily maintenance and clean up crew to make sure the pool area is clean. We are a traveling family with kids who loves swimming in the pool whenever they can. Imagine the disappointment of their faces when the front desk told us that their pool is closed when clearly there was nothing posted in their website. If only I could cancel and move to a different hotel, i would. Second, the duvet cover is super polyester that every time we touch it, it sparks! We were worried it might catch fire while we’re sleeping tossing and turning so pit them on the floor. Every time we touch each other we get shocked. Kids made fun out of it but I have trauma with it. Our sleep was uncomfortable because our blanket is thin and it was cold in the room.

I've stayed in Courtyard hotels across the country and they are generally a fairly solid choice. This one was OK, but I've definitely seen better. The lobby seemed updated, but the guest rooms were a little past their prime. The bed was not particularly comfortable and the shower seemed to be falling out of the wall. One strength of this hotel was the staff - very friendly and service oriented. Anyone who has read my hotel reviews know that hotel gyms are a big deal to me. this one was substandard on many levels. While they had decent cardio equipment, it was clear that it has not been well maintained. Their were no mats for floor work, and the floor surface was not comfortable for that type of activity. The towels were not well stocked on either day I used the gym. The dumbbell selection was weird - there were a couple that were below 10 pounds, which were too gross to touch. From there, it skipped up to 25s and 40s and that's it. This is an area I travel to fairly frequently, so I think I'll be continuing my search for the best spot to stay.

This has been our go-to in the Princeton area for a few years. Location can’t be beat. Breakfast is excellent and Dolores is the best at making you feel welcome during breakfast and keeping things tidy, clean, and seeing to guests concerns at breakfast - she really is the reason we’ve come back - unfortunately since Covid, the hotel has been slipping and I’m honestly sad as these issues just need attention from management. Our last 2 stays, it is clear that rooms are not being properly cleaned - I suspect that housekeeping staff has been reduced and is overwhelmed. Our room kitchenette floor was so sticky, each time we walked our across our feet would stick. The dishes/silverware dirty and strewn in drawer. The kitchen sink garbage disposal was missing the flaps and we could see gross decaying food. The tub drain had apparently been cleared but they never put back the cap and just left it on the edge of the tub. The pillows had such a foul odor (think like boys locker room after football practice - that used entire bottle amount of Febreeze to make bearable). A quick walkthrough of rooms by supervisor would ensure a much more pleasant environment for a guest on arrival—Housekeeping may be understaffed. Sadly we are not going back; for our next stay we will be booking elsewhere. Luckily there are plentiful options in the Princeton area.
