I don't understand the positive reviews. If they got new management and did "updates", they did it in the cheapest way possible. There are holes in the walls, paint missing from the ceiling. Dirt in the tiles of the bathroom, stained walls and carpet, a dirty chair is provided. There was also stains on the sheets in one of the beds.
Pros: no bugs to be seen. The gentleman at the front desk was nice. He knew the area and checking in was really easy even though the way I booked seemed to be difficult because of *******.
But, those two things really are the bare minimum for a hotel.
Overall we were hiking the lone star trail and really just needed a place to crash. We picked this place because it was affordable and I trusted the reviews, I was wrong. I wouldn't stay here again.

This is an older motel that is a little rundown, but the owners were very gracious, and did everything in their power to make our stay a good one. We have stayed here before and we will stay here again. The room did not have all of the Amenities, you find a new, modern motel, but it was exceptionally clean, and you could tell the owners were very proud of it.
