We enjoyed the stay in this hotel. The service is nice, the personnel is professional. The hotel is a historical location, obviously it belonged to one of the noble families. The house reminds me a museum: you feel as you dived into the history surrounded by typical furniture, paintings on the walls, decorations, small details of the past. We really loved these vibes. Breakfast is very good, you can find all you need. We got a very small room close to the elevator, but we were lucky enough that the evening we stayed it was relatively calm, so we slept well.

The facilities were perfect, and it was comfortable to have a cable car dedicated to guests who could go directly to therme in the bathrobe figure. However, despite the advance payment via Trip.com, a deposit was charged 50 euros at check-in. It was said that it was refunded after the adjustment of room service etc. However, the refrigerator was empty. There should be no additional. I thought it would be paid back at check-out, but it was said that it would be refunded via the card company after 2 － 3 days. However, even after a week, it has not yet been refunded.

Absolutly amazing hotel with a kind, service minded and solution oriented staff. The rooms were all good and the breakfest buffet had everything you ever needed. It was our second stay in this hotel. For our purpose (to visit the shopping center of Massen and Schmiede) the location is perfect. The staff at the reception addressed us in Dutch which was a nice surprise as Dutch is our mother tongue. Staff at hotel (reception, housekeeper, breakfast) was very friendly and helpful. Although it was not mentioned at check-in, we were given a comfort room instead of the standard room we booked, of course this was a pleasant surprise. The comfort room is a lot larger and specious and very nice. Beds are great and of very good quality. One of our friends who travelled with us, suffers from an allergy and he did not sleep so well because of the carpet in the room. But for us it was perfect. There is a free bottle of water in the room and a machine with drinks you can purchase (soft drinks) in the hall and also a microwave and plates you can use are at disposal in the hall. The coffee was with powder and a water boiler, we prefer a small coffee machine with pads or so in the room as that quality of coffee is better. We had a terrace but due to the bad weather we could not enjoy it. Bathroom was spacious with a very good shower. One point of remark: the product in the shower was same for hands, hair and body. We never use the same product to wash our hair or our body so we don't like this (but I brought my own products from home). Breakfast is excellent with a large choice of all products (including smoked salmon). The breakfast room is not very big and can get very noisy and busy at rush moments. Also at the coffee machine there might be some delay. Only remark here: the floor of the breakfast room was ”sticky” so maybe it needs some extra cleaning. As for parking space, there is a big shopping center next to the hotel so parking can be very full and sometimes you need to search for a spare parking space and walk a little further with your luggage (not comfortable with the weather we had). Towards the evening I put the car closer by as it was standing at the end of the parking space at first. We enjoyed our stay here again and will definitely be back.

Très bel hôtel. Avec parking. Les personnes (accueil, service...) était accueillantes. Notre chambre (5) au 1er étage était très très bien. Litterie très confortable. Très propre. Buffet petit déjeuner varié. Nous avons vraiment apprécié. A notre prochaine visite dans ce coin, nous y retournerons sans hésiter. Pour info: 110 euros pour la chambre double avec 2 petits déjeuners.

For the price I paid for my room, I expected a LOT more. I travel a lot and very often around Europe and the USA and this hotel is one of the worst value for money hotels I have had the misfortune to experience - you are charging PREMIUM prices for dark, miserable rooms where I even had to cliimb upstairs to go to bed. The bed was on a mezzanine where I had to stoop to avoid banging my head on the ceiling as I am a tall man and the polished wooden stairs made me feel very anxious that I would slip going down them especially in the middle of the night. The coffee cups were damaged (chipped) and you have the AUDACITY to offer cheap recycled toilet paper in a a dispenser that I have only seen in the cheapest BUDGET hotels!!! Not even a roll of toilet paper!! Cheap single sheets from a plastic holder!!! And you charge €184 per night for THIS?? It is ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL. I am not happy AT ALL with paying such a high price for an overnight stay . You should be charging HALF the room rate. Unfortunately I had no time to ask for a better room or a refund as I had an evening engagement in Verviers but I will not be staying in your hotel again. Whilst the woman on the checkout desk was apologetic and offered me contact details for your customer care team for a future stay in one of your hotels in the region, this is not going to happen as it will be at least a year before I return to Verviers/Spa and I would have preferred a partial refund instead. I most certainly will not recommend your hotel based on this experience. A refund of at least 1/3 of the price of my stay would be helpful but I suspect that is not going to happen.
