Hotel Marroad Tsukuba

I stayed here on a solo trip, using a rental bike to explore Lake Kasumigaura. **What I Liked:** * Within walking distance of Tsuchiura Station. * Free parking. * Has bicycle racks for road bikes and a HELLOCYCLING rental spot. * Breakfast was excellent! If you have time to eat, definitely opt for the breakfast-included plan. **What I Didn't Like:** * The facilities show their age, so it might not be suitable for those who are particularly sensitive to odors. I felt that the older building allowed for such a low price point. The breakfast on the top floor was delicious, offered a wide variety, and on a clear day, the view overlooking Lake Kasumigaura was superb. I usually travel with my bike (by train), so next time I'd love to stay here again and bring my own bicycle.

I always have a comfortable stay. This is a hotel where you can stay with peace of mind.

Free parking is a big plus. The staff's explanations and guidance were excellent. The facilities are a little old, but the location is great.

The building and facilities were old but well-cleaned. The slippers provided were thin and I wasn't sure if they had been washed, so I was hesitant to use them.

We stayed for two nights as a couple. We had two card keys, so we could go our separate ways without any problems. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. There were supermarkets, Hotto Motto, Lawson, etc. nearby, so I thought it was a nice area to live in. I'd definitely consider this when I move.

The building was old, but the service was attentive. The dinner was also authentic and thoroughly enjoyed.
