Easily one of the top two or three guesthouse experiences I’ve had traveling China over the past decade. While it’s certainly on the higher end of the price spectrum, you definitely get what you pay for and more. The level of detail is immaculate: given how hot and dry Turpan is, they give you as much bottled water you need & leave hydrating facial masks in your room every day. Also, shoutout to the beds—one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in China—and Japanese toilet. The facilitates and service touches are on par with the best luxury hotel brands which probably go for twice the price or more. But ultimately the people and location are what make this place special. Everyone from the owner to the cleaning staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I ran into the owner at a restaurant and he bought me dinner and introduced me to some local dishes I would have never known to order. The location is 🍇 valley. It’s a quaint little grape producing village with friendly locals and amazing fruit. All in all, Bafeng Retreat is a special place that is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and take life slowly. Highly recommended.

It’s the second time I’ve come to Nomad this year, and I still feel so kind, the beautiful small yard, the cool Karez, the gentle and warm-hearted proprietress and boss, and a group of friends from all over the world. We all play werewolf* together, Let’s fight together, eat melons and grapes in Qierjing, and have two cute kittens. The room we live in is very comfortable and the air conditioner is very cool. There is hot water for bathing 24 hours a day, and the yard is very convenient to dry clothes. The sunset is so beautiful. The Uighur buildings in Grape Valley are very exotic, especially like the ancient city of Kashgar. The residents inside are very friendly and the prices are low. The Youth Hostel also organized us to go to Tuyugou Mazha Village, Flame Mountain, and Kumuta Go camping in the desert, and see the Milky Way in the desert at night. In short, the homeless people are a big family, and people don't want to leave.

The B&B is located near Grape Valley, but it is a little off. The street lights are dim when driving to the hotel at night, almost non-existent, and it is a little inconvenient to travel. The handsome guy at the front desk of the B&B was very enthusiastic. He helped us with the luggage and sent us to the door of the room. He brought a plate of welcome fruit. Later, when he heard that we wanted to eat mulberries, he brought another large plate. The environment of the manor is superb. It is suitable for a daze here if you have plenty of time. I heard from the boss that this is also one of the attractions in Grape Valley. Unfortunately, the itinerary is full and there is no time to empty myself and walk slowly in the manor. The room environment is very good, especially the style of the B&B. The only drawback is that the amount of water for bathing is a bit small and the temperature is not high. When we left the store, the boss was very thoughtful. He sent us to the Turpan Museum and took us to pick some mulberries on the roadside. We tasted a few bites and occasionally had a slightly sweet meal. The boss said that the season has not arrived yet and it has just begun to mature. There are no seasonal fruits when we come, otherwise we can pick them by ourselves. Overall, it is still very good. Welcome everyone to stay. 👏

This is a newly opened homestay in May this year. It is a very beautiful wooden house. The children are very happy when they come in! All the facilities and bedding are new, things are very easy to use, or smart toilet. The boss family is amiable, and breakfast is suitable for our southerners. When I left, I couldn't call the car at the train station. The boss was afraid that we would delay the train and drove us there. It was a great experience! The homestay is at the entrance of Dawayu Scenic Area in the middle section of the Putaogou Scenic Area. There is a large parking lot next to it. The a**osphere of the entire B&B is great. As soon as I entered the door, I felt like I could stay here for a few days, relax and enjoy the leisurely and romantic Moroccan style.
