For it to be a small hotel (called toach motels at times) was very decent and clean! The room looked remodeled and the antique hardwood floors were beautiful. Stands out like a small studio apt. I would stay here again!!

First of all when I went in to check in, the girl at the front desk was very nice, but it has been years since I have actually had to fill out a hand written form to register for a room that I had a reservation for and also am a IHG member and my reservation had all that information on it when I made the reservation. Kind of seemed like it was not up to date with its system. I normally only have to show my ID. Anyway got thru that and our room was not finished being cleaned, so we had to wait a little while. Normally this would not be an issue, but my 86 year old Mother was with me and she was not feeling well. Again the girl at the front desk was very helpful in getting the room completed as quickly as possible. We had no problem with the room whatsoever! It was a great room. I believe they had just completed some renovation. The problem We did have was about an hour after we had been there someone was trying to get in the door. I thought maybe someone just had the wrong room. Before I could get to the door it opened and a female and male hotel staff member were at the door. They both looked alarmed, as I was. The female staff member said they thought no one was in the room and checking to make sure it was clean. They apologized and shut the door. About an hour later the same thing happened except it was two male hotel staff members. One was carrying a small laptop and the other had a piece of paper he was holding and said he was showing the room was vacant. I assured him the room was not vacant! He said have a nice stay and shut the door. This totally should have never happened the first time, but certainly not two times within a couple of hours. Again I am not sure if their system is outdated, not working, or what exactly the problem was, but that was totally unacceptable! I saw them doing that to other rooms as I was going in and out of my room, so I am sure we were not the only ones they busted in on. I hope it was not some of those young volleyball girls there for the tournament. It probably would’ve terrified them. Again, whatever the problem, it was unacceptable for that to have happened once much less twice. Other than that the hotel was fine.

The room was standard. Just right for someone traveling on business. In and out. The front desk clerk Chasity was just charming. I wouldn’t have an issue staying again. Breakfast was a mix of grab and go also a couple of hot items. I felt safe knowing the doors are locked at a specific time each night. Will return again.
GGuest UserI do not know how this hotel got anything above a 1 star. I booked a king size room on 6/1/22 for my 7/15/22 trip. I checked in the hotel at about 9:30 pm on the 15th only to find that King I had booked had been downsized to a double mildewed handicap. What I found was deplorable. The room smelled of wet/ mildew when we entered. The microwave was so dusty on top that I wrote my name on it to show how thick the dust was. There was some sort of crusty subsatance that was left on the glass shelf that the microwave sat on that had been left there by the previous guest or previous previous guest. There was a white substance on the couch that look like bodily secretions that they did not try to get out. It left a white stain. We went to check on the air because it appeared the room was not getting cold and my husband sock was literally soaked because the floor was soaked by the air condition ( that explains the mildewy smell). The shower had not been cleaned. It had long stringy brownish blond hair on the wall in 3 different places. We called downstairs to complain to the guy who was there ( the nicest in this whole establishment). He stated that we need to call the mgr Linda in the morning and that she would be more than happy to help us. Well Linda must have been only accomodating to him because she was horrible to us. My husband made a call from the room and gave her the details of why we were unhappy. The conversation went left when Linda put words in my husbands mouth stating that we wanted to check out. We never said anything about checking out.She even went on to tell us that she and her husband or boyfriend slept in a double bed ( what did that have to do with us?). She stated that my husband was raising his voice ( he wasn't. He was trying to get her to undersrand our issue while she overtalked him and disregared his complaint and request to comp the room for the night. The only solution she had was basically leave or they will send someone to clean the room. My husband and I decided to stay in the room in fear of being moved to a room worse than we had and we didn't allow them to clean the room because our valuables were there and it seemed like there was no protection of any kind if we had a problem. As Linda overtalked my husband...she hung up on him. We got dressed and went out for lunch. I did not speak with Linda when I passed her outside on a break smoking a vape. I didn't even know if that was her but assumed it was since she had on a front desk uniform. When I returned 2 hours later....I spoke with her about the incident stating the facts. Though she was much nicer face to face...I found out that she couldn't really do anything about my complaint. She apologized and I also addressed the issue of her hanging up on my husband..she said that she didnt but clearly she did. My husband did not speak at all during this conversation. We left and received a email address so that I could provide the pics and video I took to their GM.Meg
EEd GThis Hilton Garden and its employee team are super! We stayed U of Alabama homecoming long weekend. Hotel was nicely decorated for Halloween, plus U of Alabama and Arkansas for the game. They hosted a wonderful tailgate party with very nice food, fancy service, free flowing drinks, really a nice gift to guests Friday night before the game. The hotel is extra nice including patio seating area for Non-smokers, unusual and very pleasant. Lots of parking, convenient location. Highly recommend this hotel and kudos to all the staff during a very busy weekend!
JjenwhiteMy husband and I and our son had an okay stay. Quite safe . The only thing we weren't happy about is paying full price 131 00 no notice when booking that they are remodeling so there was no breakfast and just a man sitting at the front door with a small table and a computer checking people in the whole down stairs was a mess. I felt bad for the man cause he was the one getting all the complaints from upset guests. But on a good note our room was very clean and the beds are comfortable....
GGuest UserI went for a business trip. This was an affordable option, and I was bumped to a suite for an extra $5 which was really nice and totally worth it. The check in/ut process was easy and the staff was very kind/helpful. The walls in my room had stains, but I never made a complaint for a cleaning, so that is on me. Other than that, the room was clean, great internet, nice fridge/microwave/bed. I definitely will come back for a future work trip.
225210025Room was clean and hotel was quiet, but 2 major issues. 1. We arrived a little early. I asked about early check in and was told $20 per hour. I can understand this if housekeepers are still working or if guests were checking in or out, but there were 2 cars in parking lot - one of which was front desk person. We just went shopping for that one hour rather than pay this. 2. Though I requested a non-smoking room, was charged $50 to ensure I didn’t smoke in the room. I asked if guests in smoking rooms had to pay a deposit - blank look. Was told I would get deposit refunded in 5 days after checkout, but had to call 3 times. This gouging for every extra dollar is ridiculous and I will not stay at this chain again.
