We recently traveled to Udaipur, and stayed at The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace, Udaipur as a group of 21 people, and overall had a really good experience. The view of Fateh Sagar Lake is breathtaking and the property has a subtle yet warm old-world charm. A very special mention to Rohan, who went above and beyond to take care of us. Managing such a big group isn’t easy, but he ensured every request - big/ small - was handled with warmth and efficiency. The food was good, and the staff across the hotel was helpful and polite. Though the property is slightly old, the hospitality and overall vibe & view truly made our stay memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Udaipur!

I was pleasantly surprised by this gem of a hotel. It’s on a hill overlooking Fateh, Sagar Lake and the Nehru Gardens. Breathtaking views of the hills and the lake. Do take morning walks by the lake. The property has a path that leads you to the lake and until 8:30 AM the traffic is blocked so that people can walk and exercise at the lakefront. Do not miss that. About the property it’s I believe what used to be a Palace guesthouse for the Maharana where he would sign business and financial deals. That’s why the name Lakshmi. The staff is amazing right from the top the general manager, Mr. Devendra Parihar he made sure we were treated like VIPs.The front office management which included Suraj Singh and the restaurant team, which was headed by Navneet and was supported by Gaurav and Ashish. We were also looked after really well by Shahbaz at breakfast and Rita. Rita is very hard working she was at our breakfast one morning at our lunch another day and dinner the third. She served us always with a smile. We had a birthday celebration and Navneet really made the birthday dinner special with the table decoration and a surprise cake. Gaurav, who was there at our lunch and dinner knew exactly how we liked the food and recommended dishes to our liking. Do not miss dinner at Aangan. It is the best restaurant I think this side of town with the best view. Will definitely 100% come back and now tempted to visit other Lalit properties !
