The Corbet Arms

Staff were very polite and helpful. Room was lovely and we had a very enjoyable evening meal. Breakfast the following morning was delicious.

Xavier was excellent. He was a perfect gentleman; checking me in earlier & working very hard to ensure that we all had a wonderful time. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Accommodation clean enough but staff weren’t very helpful on check in. We were a bit confused about how to check in and had to carry our heavy luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Didn’t try the restaurant as ended up going into town for dinner and breakfast due to prices

Great one-night stop. Good, no-fuss service: at breakfast a happy but very noisy group started to assemble after I sat down... I didn't complain or anything but the waiter discreetly came over to me and asked if I would rather sit in the bar - very thoughtful (and it was indeed much more peaceful!).

Lovely stay.Rooms undergoing refurbishment which we weren’t aware of but other than that very nice.

Just returned from a short break at the Corbet Arms. Never having stayed in the area before we didn't really know what to expect. We weren't disappointed! In fact very, very impressed. On arrival I realised that I had made a mistake with the booking, having booked 3 nights instead of 2. This was corrected without question. The young chap that checked us in was friendly and chatty and made us really welcome. He is an asset to the business! The Corbet Arms is located in a village setting, close to the river Severn, about 4 miles from the centre of Shrewsbury. The building is decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout. There's a spacious beer garden at the rear and there's loads of car parking available. Our room (5) was huge with a massive comfortable bed, a lovely modern bathroom, air conditioning and loads of storage for your belongings. There's a view of the river and the surrounding countryside. As well as taking breakfast we ate there on both evenings. The food is delicious with plenty of choice on the menu, and a selection of real ales which pleased my hubby no end! We have already decided to visit again next year.

The bath was fantastic. Had walked 8 miles and it was just the job. Nice big bed as well. Timothy Taylors in the bar was another bonus.

Went for a dinner at the hotel and stayed over in a comfortable room with a good breakfast.
