This is my second visit. I often visit Ukiha because I like the countryside scenery when I go on business trips. There are many other hotels around, but the reason I use Hanakeshiki is because of the cost-effectiveness. The hotel seems old and outdated, but it has many advantages.
The hot spring water is really good and the staff is friendly.
The food is reasonable for the price. The surrounding scenery is nice, especially the sunset.
However, it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the convenience store or mart around, so if you don't want to walk, you can use the shuttle or rent a bicycle from the hotel.
The price is reasonable because it was cheap compared to the hotels around, and I judged it to be good cost-effectiveness, so I can't recommend it to those who expect the best service.

If nothing else, the hot spring water is really good. The external family bathhouse is especially worth a visit. However, Japan's hot spring bath tax (150 yen) and hotel accommodation tax (200 yen) are too much...separate from the accommodation fee.
