Great price and location close to Haymarket and Darling Harbour area. Easy walking distance took us less then 10mins to Chinatown. Hotel was beautifully appointed, bed very comfy and clean. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, baked beans, toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and pastries. OJ, Tea and instant coffee. Perfect!
Parking was a 1 minute walk away and $25 for 24 hours over the weekend with plenty of spaces available - not sure if its more on weekdays.
Would definitely book again.

The handsome guy at the front desk was very warm and friendly! I thought I would be able to check in in the afternoon, so I planned to store my luggage first, but unexpectedly, I was able to find a vacant room and check in early. It was a great feeling. Breakfast is delicious😋

Perfect choice for an hotel in Sydney. As for price is a very good deal considering the average in the city. They have an agreement with a near parking lot (no need to book for that).

I am so happy to be leaving with such a nice stay at the Vulcan. The reception were all lovely, giving me the best experience at the hotel. For a bit of context, I have travelled to Sydney from Wollongong for a winter uni course. As I have not travelled solo before, I was a bit nervous to stay by myself in a hotel at Ultimo. However, the staff was so lovely and helpful and truly made me feel welcome. Housekeeping was phenomenal, their attention to every little detail really mattered. Also their laundry service was a great tool for my long stay. I will 100% recommend this hotel to anyone and hope I can stay there again. Thank you Vulcan staff for the best stay in Ultimo. 💕

This is a great little hotel in the centre of Sydney - clean and comfortable and blissfully quiet. It is close to some fabulous Asian restaurants in Chinatown and within easy walking distance to Central Station and also some local shops (K-Mart, Target, supermarkets etc). Would definitely recommend this one and really enjoyed the continental breakfast which was a bonus not having to venture out.

The room wasn’t huge but it was very cozy and nice, big tv with Netflix on it was nice to see. But what stands out the most is the service I received from the staff, they were all lovely and very helpful and they even left a bottle of wine for my bday!
