We stayed at Iseya a whole week while visiting my partner’s son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in a nearby town. We have stayed in Obama previously for the same reason, and the town was just as nice as we remembered. But this was the first time we had stayed at Iseya, and we are so glad we did. The ryokan has been there for centuries but was rebuilt in 2019 and now has all the modern comforts. The in-room private onsen is fantastic, real geothermal spring water, and really hot. The views and sunsets over Tachibana bay are great and we enjoyed watching the local older people play “grand golf” on the town playing field opposite the hotel (with the bay behind) every morning at 7 am. But it is the staff who really make the place special, so friendly, despite our very poor Japanese, and several speak good English. We really felt welcome, despite being the only foreigners staying there on most days. The breakfasts are fantastic, no need for lunch, and different every day. We ate there just one night and the meal was equally good. The housekeeping was immaculate. Overall highly recommended, and although not cheap, not vastly expensive either and definitely good value.
This facility is a complex with a coworking space with meeting rooms and booth seats on the first floor boasting a spectacular view of the scenic Shidoris Pond and a sense of openness and accommodation on the second floor
Unzen Jigoku and a dropin bath are within walking distance and if you go a little further you can easily access the attractions of the Shimabara Peninsula such as the mountains of Unzen Obama Onsen Shimabara Onsen and the World Heritage Site Hara Castle making it an ideal base for sightseeing
About childrens accommodations
As a general rule we do not accept preschool children There are steep stairs and steps that can be dangerous for small children This is due to the nature of the facility which has a workspace attached and the structure of the facility which makes it easy for sound to echo We appreciate your understanding

It's too big and too flashy. This hotel gives people a ”feeling of trying to be qualified in everything.” The room is large, but only large, and does not have many facilities; the shower room is large, but there is no bathtub; books are provided in the lobby, and the information in the room even teaches you how to meditate by soaking in water, but it does not provide travel information about ”Unzen Hell”; The hot springs are divided into men's and women's baths, each with two indoor pools and one outdoor pool, but they are all public baths and there are no family-style baths for families and couples. Don’t have room for a bathtub in the room? No, they are just lazy; is it troublesome to proactively provide check-in guests with guide information on nearby attractions? No, they are just lazy; don’t they have room for one or two more couples for families or couples? neither.
From the moment you step into the hotel, one staff member will help you place your luggage, one will register your passport, one will ask you to sign the paper, and one will take you to your room. It is amazing that they know you are a foreign traveler and send 4 staff in a row who can't speak English at all. The staff reception, they only care about what they say, whether you understand or not is not their concern. All I can say is that today, even small hotels in the countryside run by husbands and wives know how to use Google Translate to actively talk to you, but this famous hot spring hotel chain that charges you HKD 2,900 for an ordinary room doesn’t even know how to use Google Translate to talk to you. There are no employees who speak English or are willing to take the initiative to use a translation app to communicate with you.
Here comes the place that shocked me the most. After checking in, the staff member who took me to my room took out his iPad and played a 5-10 minute video in front of me, explaining where there were toilets and coffee in the lobby. After watching it, when I went up to the room, *** took out an iPad and played a video to introduce the room. The families who checked in at the same time as us had already gone to their rooms to put their luggage before going out to play, but I was still watching a movie at the door. They came up with the laziest method. Instead of learning the English to take care of guests or memorizing the English in the video, they just handed you an iPad. I can only say that the perception is really bad.
In the nearby Unzen Jigoku, there are two completely different experiences when going there in the daytime and at night: if you go there in the morning, you will see clearly with the help of daylight, but if you go to the hell at night, you will feel the best! Of course, the staff will not tell you this practical travel information. You can find it online yourself. I don’t want him to give me another iPad.
But there is one thing to say, the scenery facing Unzen Hell is unique. The kaiseki meal for dinner is pretty good for a foreigner. It’s delicious and filling. The most important thing is that the menu is bilingual, and finally there is an English-speaking uncle who takes the initiative to explain the ingredients and food to you in English. Law. As for his hot springs. . . . It's pretty fancy, and there's a Dyson hair dryer to blow your hair, but after soaking in the hot springs, they only provide simple drinks and popsicles, and there's no milk or Yoming Ramen. You know, just pass the test.

I was as little apprehensive staying here given the poor ratings, but I couldn't have been happier. Staff were friendly, and made an effort, although only 1 reception girl spoke any English. I had a Japanese style room overlooking the lake. It was massive, and very comfortable. The only issue was that the windows weren't double glazed, and it was freezing outside (-8c overnight), and the sitting area got extremely cold. I guess it doesn't normally get this cold though. The room was warm with the sliding doors closed. The onsen were perfectly acceptable. The rooftop one was great in the snow! I had half board. The food options were extensive at both breakfast and dinner. If you don't eat Japanese food the choice will be quite limited though. Good selection of free drinks, and decent selection of paid for alcoholic drinks. There's loads of common areas and places to relax. A previous commenter mentioned the long corridors, which is true, the wrong room can mean long walks to the onsen and restaurant. Overall, 5*. But remember this is a JAPANESE hotel, catering to domestic tourists, so don't expect an international style hotel!

Stayed in a suite room. The view from the room is good and you can enjoy your meal while looking at this view. To be honest, the taste of the food is average, but it is full of ideas, such as putting blue agar on a large plate to represent the pond in front of you, and each dish on top represents a bird. . The quality of the bath was very good, and it was very comfortable to be in. The staff was polite and I was able to stay very comfortably. We think that price is low.

2021.12.30-31 I went with 5 people including my boyfriend and friends. This is my second time, but I went there once before, before the coronavirus. The person at the sushi corner of the buffet was unfriendly, but other than that he was very kind. ︎There is a corner in the bathroom where you can put your towel after using it, and I accidentally put it in there.I wanted to go in the morning too, so I called the front desk and they said they would charge a fee for towels. That's what he said. picture? I've been to many hot springs in the past, but I've never been told that I have to pay for towels. Is this normal now? Isn't this true even for a business hotel? I was a little disappointed. The rice was delicious, but I would have liked more fish for breakfast. This is a deliberate rating because the customer service, baths, and food were good.

Due to the typhoon, the hotel I was planning to be temporarily closed and I was in a hurry to use it. It was a hotel specialized in children, but the service was perfect. Alcohol such as beer is free, not to mention coffee and juice, in the lobby. Bring your room OK. The bath is also a powerful open-air bath where the sea approaches that much. This day is especially dynamic with a storm. Free service such as ice cream, coffee, jelly, etc. was also available in the open-air bath. The evening kaiseki was also taken home, and the morning buffet was also prepared at the entrance of the restaurant with a set of take-out containers. On the way home, he also said, ”Did you have any trouble?” I sent my luggage from the hotel to my home, but he reinforced the cardboard firmly. Because of the typhoon, the schedule was greatly crazy, but the 1 day at Nanfeng Tower was the greatest satisfaction in the trip (about 100 times) so far.

Clean rooms, friendly staffs. Would preferred to have a water heater in the room but instead they gave a flask of hot water. Dinner food is not quite up to standard as per other ryokan. Side dishes is buffet style. Can go for the free flow sake. Breakfast seems to be a better spread. There are better restaurants along the coasts. Do check your bus and train timing before moving out.

Because of the sister building of ”Omura Station Hotel”, it is named ”Nagasaki Airport” after the name. It is a station hotel, but Omura station is far from Chi. It is not in the airport island, but it is called ”Nagasaki Airport” 々 halfway. Is it a burden to pay more than 1000 yen by taxi? Is it a small student who thinks that there is a hotel for travelers in the airport island? There are dumpling shops and convenience stores around, can you stand it if you think it is a transfer? ?

GGuest UserAn hour and a half by taxi from Nagasaki Station. To the famous Unzen Onsen. It feels like a small Owakudani in Hakone. The inn is this inn when it comes to Nagasaki. Stayed in a separate private room with an open-air bath. The Sukiya-zukuri made by the Miya carpenter has a cool appearance and a splendid building with pillars, but the facilities inside are a long time ago. The garden is wonderful, the open-air bath is the best, the hot water is moderate, and the amenities are substantial. There is a set of cosmetics of a certain pearl in a resort hotel in Tokushima, and the feeling of service a long time ago is undeniable. The number of dishes was too large to enjoy everything. Sashimi is normal, probably because the season I went to was not good. The meat was fatty. However, the staff was really impressed. I am admired by the politeness, cleanliness, and behavior. I think it is worth staying only for the staff's hospitality service.
GGuest UserFrom the approach to the entrance, lobby, dining, library, etc., everything is a photo spot. The room (superior twin) is a classic and simple furnishing of the wooden center (especially impressed by the opening and closing of the wooden frame window). The quality of the equipment and amenities is high, and it seems comfortable even for long stays (however, the leakage of the fashionable hand shower in the cat foot bathtub is x). Dinner is a French course choice. Dare to leave the smell of jibie and thick saw It was a traditional taste to enjoy the so. The large communal bath was made of Western style with stained glass, but it was a little disappointing because the hot springs were colorless and odorless. Overall, maintain the service level in a shortage of staff Therefore, it seems that the number of guests is limited (there were more than a dozen pairs on Saturday in late October), and the side to use was very comfortable. However, I was impressed by the tradition of classic hotels and the attitude to maintain this. , I was satisfied enough this time, so I honestly think that I don't have to revisit for the time being. Especially with the impression that there are few young staff, and when I review it from a new (young) perspective, It seemed to be a more attractive hotel.
Ttake123I saw word of mouth and stayed with only expectation of hot springs. The quality of the spring was as expected. I think it is not bad overall if I don't expect meals. The improvement is as follows. The parking lot is difficult to understand. I didn't know if I had to get off the car and listen to the inn. As a result, I was parked for free in the paid parking lot in front of the sky hotel. There is no drinking water in the cherry blossom bath. You can't change the hot water in the cherry blossom pot. There are few cherry blossom outlets.
YYUHHWAHotel location is good, go right and turn to the hot spring shrine, then enter the hot spring hell area, walk about half an hour, a very good feeling. The breakfast is rich and the food is served. We live in a Japanese tatami for six people and are very suitable for family trips. The hotel is too old and some facilities can't keep up with the new hotel. The parking lot is large and there is no problem parking. The fly in the ointment is likely to be economically depressed. The nearby restaurants have not been opened. After a long walk, the supermarket's talents have been asked to find a delicious restaurant (the hotel will turn left about 500 meters after going out). There is also the hot spring water is too hot, higher than 40 degrees, can not stand for a few minutes.
