Hotels near Walderlebnispfad Kiefer-Föhra-Vielfalt, Upper Palatinate

I resided in the Amedia Hotel - Weiden for about a month while in the area on business. Let me get the negatives out of the way up front since these are minimal: 1. The lobby/front desk closes around 9:00pm, this also cuts off access to the elevators of this five story hotel. Lobby reopens around 6:00am 2. The internet availability is very weak during peak hours. 3. The restaurant was closed. Moving on to the positives: 1. A phenomenal, friendly and professional staff. Everyone went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable even in a COVID environment. A big shout out to Christine and Marie who greeted us every morning with a welcoming smile and salutation. A huge shout out to Carolin and Patrick for making our uneventful evenings, eventful. They were so much fun and funny! 2. The housekeeping staff is also above par ensuring our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard while working around our weird schedules. 3. The room was comfortable, not exceptional. It included a very small refrigerator. 4. We were just a 10 minute walk from Weiden City Center full of incredible eateries in a very friendly community. You could find fare from all walks of life and I personally did not have a bad meal anywhere. 5. About a 10-12 minute walk to the Train Station and a two minute walk to the main bus station (Am Zob). There is the greatest little food stand in that area call Imbiss Am Zob. Deiter is the owner and a really cool dude. Great food, cold beer and friendly conversation. 6. There is also a small grocery store (Netto) right across the street from the hotel. 7. The parking garage below the building is well lit and safe. Overall this was a very good experience and I would recommend staying there unless the lack of an elevator would hinder your room access or you are required to get some work done during peak hours. The internet can be frustrating. For me the staff overcame these minor nuisances. They were the best!

A charming hotel in the middle of the green! Just 300 m from the old town. Very nice, clean rooms with view of the park! Breakfast buffet with regional and bio products, for everyone with something! The staff love and very friendly. The hotel manager from the region and very engaged! Great team and collegial atmosphere. Many helping hands as stands on the T-shirt. Dog friendly hotel! It always worth a trip!

Das Drahthammer Schlöß'l an der Vils gelegen bietet ein besonderes Flair. Angefangen von den unterschiedlichen Räumlichkeiten im Innen- und Außenbereich, der liebevollen Einrichtung und Dekoration bis hin zu Sauna und Wellnessbereich kann man hier wunderbar Urlaub machen. Das Essen ist im Schlöß'l hochwertig und lecker. Egal ob man hier feiert, übernachtet oder nur ein Stück Kuchen essen möchte - die Lokation ist ein Muss für denen Besucher der Stadt. Direkt vor dem Hotel befinden sich auch ausreichend Parkplätze, was ebenfalls positiv ist.

Tolles Hotel, superfreundliche Mitarbeiter. Frühstück mit regionalen Produkten, es wird großen Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit gelegt. Das Abendessen im hoteleigenen Restaurant war ein Gedicht. Kostenlose Parkplätze stehen direkt am Hotel zur Verfügung

It is far from the old city and needs to drive or do public transportation. The German bus is not as convenient as the domestic one. The rooms are small, but very clean. There are very few urban tourists, mainly locals or Germans. Local restaurant waiters speak German and are not very friendly in speaking English.
