Air conditioning in the room was great, breakfast we re good, the staff was great and being near of the Whale tale brewery was interesting.

Decent hotel room, choices of nice breakfast, very pleasant staff at reception and overall very relaxed atmosphere with lots of green trees, bushes and flowers. Also we spotted monkeys right overhead and 2 macaws fighting next to monkeys. It was spectacular!

When we first arrived we were a little disappointed that the rooms are so basic, and the bathrooms could have been cleaner. However, the rest of the hotel made up for this considering the price. The staff were very lovely, the common areas are nice and spacious, the breakfast has lots of freshly made options. The beds were comfy, air con worked well and the showers were hot.
The one thing I wasn’t happy with was the lack of security box in the room. We were assured the property was safe and that was our impression as well, but it would have given us peace of mind going out for the day to know our passports were locked away.

The pool was lovely. Our room was wonderful; greatly appreciated the AC since the humidity was unbearable for too long for this Canadian family! The staff were ever so helpful and friendly providing popcorn to our daughters who were hanging with fellow travellers and answers to all our questions. Got to see lots of birds and butterflies on the property including a magical few seconds to watching the blue morpho circle the property and fly over my head. Most people had a car that were staying here at the same time as us which would have been handy to drive to nearby beaches. We got a ride with a fellow traveller to Whale's Tail beach. The nearby waterfall was really great and refreshing and not hard to find. More humidity and rain than we were expected at the very end of December so unfortunately left a couple of days early to go to cooler air of San Jose. The staff were so accommodating in providing a refund for those 2 nights as well as the Corcovado Trip we had to cancel as well (due to illness) :( :(.

This was my first time staying at a hostel. There was so much available around the property, I felt so taken care of during my stay. Breakfast was great . The property was so close to the city center so I was able to walk to all of the spots I frequently needed to visit. The location is prime time, and the rooms are clean and well taken care of. If you are looking for a spot that is super safe, this is it!

The truth is that I was left waiting for the kindness that others talk about. The ones at the reception desk were quite heavy, even admitted, except for the boy who received me the day I arrived. The others were very unfriendly, it was the same in the restaurant, the girl who waited on me the first night was very friendly. On the second night, fatally, the salon came every so often to watch me as if she were going to steal something from me. I stayed in that hotel, because I needed to be close to some clients that I was visiting, so I was working, not out for a walk. I'm not the cutest-looking guy or look like a criminal, but that's how this person made me feel. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of any of them. The staff, except for those I mentioned, are not friendly at all, they are arrogant and arrogant, they do not realize that they have a job thanks to all the people who stayed in that place, without clients they would be without a job. Without a doubt, most need a customer service course.
