Madhav Bagh Royal Heritage Stay

This place is more than just a "stay" it's an experience. An experience into the feeling of home. With friendly, helpful, host and supportive, attentive staff, we enjoyed a week of relaxation, great food, and central location. We rented all 4 rooms and used this space as our home while visiting family in India. The owner and staff elevate this place with warm welcoming accommodations. Highly recommend.

The property has 4 rooms and we stayed in the Sapphire suit. The room was enormous and very tastefully done up. The building and its garden are charming but needs more upkeep. The potential is enormous. The Ruby room is small but has a 4 poster bed. The Turquoise suit is all blue and quite an eye catcher. We arrived at 7 am but we were given the Ruby suit to rest till the Sapphire suit was ready. That was such a blessing at 7 am. The hosts are lovely. You can spend time with them and they will talk about the history of the building and of Baroda in general. They exude warmth and hospitality and that makes up for any deficiency. Since it’s a home stay you can have your breakfast at your convenience. We used to have it around 10:30 am. No rush and your mornings can be slow. The food is sumptuous and you have to tell the hosts what you want to have. We tried the Mutton Pasandida and it left us wanting for more. There are more unique dishes the chef can prepare and I am uploading the pics of those dishes that was covered in a travel magazine. The entry to the property is a small unpaved garden path but a few seconds drive and you will be able to see the property with the massive fountain. I hope they get the fountain working. In short, we loved our stay.
