Lots of parking space and Tesla charging. The restaurant is lovely and food is good. Would be even better if the room could be a bit bigger.

The location is good - just 2 miles from the motorway. Spacious rooms, good restaurant, excellent buffet breakfast & ample free parking.

This hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and everything worked. There was lots of free parking. In case you've forgotten anything, there's a huge Auchan just half a kilometer away. The restaurant is very pleaseant and mid-range. There was music provided on Sunday lunchtime when I guess you have to book in advance. Even in the evening there are several sittings and these seem to sell out fast. About €75 for two courses in the evening with wine and beer. Breakfast was all you need to start the day with some hot options as well as the traditional "continental". Lots of electric charge points in the car part. Easy access form the A7 or N7. Not walkable to Valence city though.

Not recommended. The reception staff was very rude and impolite when requesting some support on a booking mistake. They just did not care nor wanted to provide any assistance. First time we saw such behaviour in a supposedly 4 Stars Hotel. We ended up with a 200€ loss in our booking…

A good located hotel for travellers crossing France, rooms are clean and functional, but that’s it. Reception is a one man show, running across area, attending phone and in between receiving check in guests. Restaurant as a mass distribution of food, loud, unreal and large, no love to detail. Employees are doing their work, but attitude and guest welcoming is a word of an other universe. At last we paid 214 € for a double room with breakfast and 85€ for a dinner, served with no attention and a lack of attention. Unfortunate.

Great service, perfectly organized, great rooms, pool and an amazing restaurant. This is the perfect Accor hotel and a wonderful, dedicated staff. I have sincerely enjoyed my stay and will return with a smile in my face. Perfection. Thank you!!!

On our trip from spain back to home to the Netherlands we stayed a night in this hotel. We had two rooms and the total bill for these two rooms for one night was €388,00 For this amount i expect the conditions for a good rest as well as a certain level of service. Upon check in at 6.30 pm. The extra bed in the room was not made. In the room the airco was off, the window closed and the window open. This resulted in a room temperature of 29 degrees. We immediately fully opened the window and reported to the reception, that we missdd the extra bed. We went into the city. When we came back at 11pm the extra bes was not yet made and the room was still 29 degrees. We went to the bar for a drink and i reported again to the reception that we missed a bed. Instead to get the reply that i would be taken care of, I received the training. How to make an extra bed in a novotel. After this training i asked if i was supposed to make up the extra bed myself. I was told that if i didn’t wanna do it they had to do it, but if I insisted they would. I told that I expect them to do it. I’m not a snob and at home i do my own bed daily. If i would stay at a youth hostel or 2 star hotel. I would do it myself as well. But when spending almost €400 i expect it to be taken care of. Unfortunately, when we wanted to go to bed at midnight, it was still not taken care off. So ended up doing it myself. After that we tried to sleep. We had to close the window due to the noise of the road outside. With a room temperature of a steady 29 degrees, it felt if we were in a sauna. In the hallway of the hotel was an advice of the hotel that tje ideal temperature to sleep is 19 degrees. But awkward when your own rooms afe 29 degrees. The linnen for the extra bed was to small, so you constantly felt the mattress. Halfway the night a metal part of the extra bed felt off, making a lot of noise. Depite being very tired after drinving a full day, we couldn’t fall asleep in this sauna. At 5pm we gave up and decided to continue our trip. Completely exhausted we left this hotel. As i was travelling with my family, it was un responsible to drive another 950km home today, as we had planned. Safety first, so we ended up booking another hotel to have a good rest as well as calling to work requesting another day off. The hotel has a good location, most of the staff is friendly and is nicely styled. Unfortunately this is all useless if it is not able to offer the most basic a hotel should offer wich are the conditions for a good rest. Exactly as their own advice in the hallway, a room that has a tempera of 19 degrees. Therefore i advice to skip this hotel if you like to sleep and rest. I also wrote this complaint in an email to the general manager of this hotel. At the moment of writing this trip report, I didn’t receive any reaction yet. Kind regards

A disappointing visit after reading that this was one of the best Novotels. We certainly would not agree. The location is excellent. The accommodation is OK but not very inspiring (unlike, say the great room decorations at Beaune) The real let down was the restaurant. The menu was very limited and rather odd. And frankly not very nice. Simple local food well cooked would have been so much better. My husbands main course arrived stone cold. It was changed / microwaved but no apology. Our order of a bottle of Badoit was accepted but a bottle of San Pellegrino appeared as if we were too stupid to tell the difference. The complementary drink that Novotel membership provides apparently excluded a kir. Water was suggested! The bartender seemed good, but the waiting staff were very uninterested. We will not return.

This is a good hotel, in a convenient location for anyone travelling to the south. We had a very quiet room on a high floor. Bottled water in the fridge is great as is a kettle for tea making. The shower was amazing. Breakfast was very good.

We have stayed for many years at many different Novotels. Not over the top luxury, but good quality and value for money. The same was the case this time in Novotel Valence Sud, where we stayed for the night on our way to Spain. Very efficient welcome at the reception, a spotless and modern room, good food (diner and breakfast ordered via room service) and great staff. What a difference with Novotel Reims Tinqueux where we stayed for the night on the way back home. Reception was too busy to hand us the key, no elevator and a room which should have been refurbished many years ago - without doubt the worst Novotel we ever stayed at. The only thing that was good was the dinner and breakfast in the restaurant (both the food and staff). After the Tinqueux experience we appreciated Valence Sud even more.
