I wanted to love this place! I wouldn’t have traveled to the middle of nowhere had I thought I would have had un unsatisfactory visit. My expectation was to have a relaxing spa weekend. I went directly to the spa for my first service after check in. The staff were very warm and friendly but I was very disappointed with the facial. I paid 110€ basically for mud to sit and dry on my face for an hour. No shoulder massage during. After the spa was dinner time. I emailed 4 days before my arrival for a reservation. I was told to wait 30 min when I arrived there was only one other table. The food was another disappointment but based on other reviews I read this wasn’t a big surprise. I started with a cold eggplant parmigiana really lacking flavor, the pasta was a heavy butter sauce overly salty. Well, time for a good nights rest. I tuck into my suit which I paid to for an upgrade. The bed was too firm for my backs liking. I woke the next day with a painful back I thought I would go to the spa for a massage but based on the previous day thought I would be left with another disappointment. I decided to call it quits and check out early. As a compensation to not leave I was offered a complimentary cheese board. I really didn’t feel like stuffing myself with cheese after this disappointing stay so I left the cheese behind packed my bags and headed out of town. Overall, the hotel has potential to be great. The renovations were beautifully done. Perhaps lacking a bit of soul with the decorations but with proper management and design a well trained spa team it could be great. Wish you the best but this time was a big flop.

I was in France for a training course and this hotel was recommended by the trainer as a good place to stay and she was not wrong. It's very well situated with lots of restaurants and shops within short walking distance. The room itself was larger than I expected for a European hotel and was very clean and well kept with a comfortable bed and good amenities. I didn't have to interact that much with the staff but check in/check out was smooth. I checked out early in the morning and the person on the front desk offered me a coffee to go which I greatly appreciated. Breakfast buffet had everything I needed to start my day and the tables were cleared very quickly. Overall it was a great stay. On a related note, I didn't get to see much of Valenciennes as I was in class all day and the time of year meant short days but what I saw was stunning. It's a beautiful place that has a more authentic feel to it than the larger cities in France and I'm already planning a trip for my wife and I to really get a chance to explore the whole place.
A small but decent hotel, located in the centre of Valenciennes directly opposite the main railway station. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and dealt with everything I needed. The breakfast was a typical goo French affair - a buffet of fresh pastries, bread & cheese, plus a few cooked items, juice and of course coffee! There is no evening restaurant but that's not a problem as there are several good places nearby. The room was pretty normal, clean, the layout a bit differnt to the standard modern style, but that's the nature of an older building. The bathroom was a 'wet room' with shower, WC and sink in one space which is not ideal as the floor becomes wet all the way across and can be slippery (and there is no cover to the toilet paper). It took a little more effort than usual to dry enough floor to access the sink and toilet after showering. The desk was smaller than I'd like when working, and unfortunately had a microwave occupying most of the the space - which I had to unplug and move to a corner of the floor so I could use the desk. Other than these two minor oddities, a pretty good stay, certainly comfortable for a couple of nights on a business trip.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very comfortable and comfortable, and the beds are very small, but not very large for two people (only 140cm it seems to me) when you are used to sleeping in a 160cm bed. Ask a studio with a courtyard inside to sleep quietly. L'inscription fidélité permet d'obtenir une remise de 10% ce qui est très appréciable.
GGuest UserWe came to spend a few days in Valencia that we love very much. We chose a kitchenette room so that we do not have to take our breakfast at the hotel because of the price and always for the same reason so that we do not have to go to the restaurant at noon and evening. But in the kitchenette there is nothing but a boiler, but no cup, a refrigerator, a microwave, but no vessel, even no small stick or glass, no cooking plate, so we pay more for a service than we have, so we should come with a cooker plate, vacuum, spoon, torchons, maintenance products .... There is the refrigerator we had to cut because even if we had brought aperitif, there is no it had only tooth-shoes and above all it makes a terrible noise. The rooms are trist, under the roofs, zinc, no air conditioning, toilet/sdbain air conditioning: HS, no mosquitoes therefore not possible to open, HS head lamp not possible to repair, so impossible to read the evening when my husband was asleep. The staff is very friendly and the staff is very friendly. We are very disappointed and especially not appreciating having paid for this fake kitchenette, we had to reduce (3nuits/6) our stay because it was too expensive because of the restaurant we couldn't do.
Wwaddo100We stayed here for one night as we were in town for the Women’s World Cup. We had a dedicated parking space around the corner from the hotel and found paid street parking for our second vehicle - there were six of us staying in total. It was very hot when we stayed - 35 degrees - and being an old building there is no air conditioning. But the rooms were cool and the curtains and windows had been closed to keep out the sun. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us good advice on local restaurants and landmarks. The breakfast wasn’t great - pastries and fruit which was fine - but there was also a dish of bacon lardons and another of (a kind of) scrambled egg. Neither looked particularly appetising and the 9 Euro’s price seemed a tad steep for something so basic. Other than that though the whole experience was very good. The best bit about the breakfast was being able to eat in the pretty little back garden in the sunshine.
贫贫僧爱喝可乐The location of the hotel is quite good, just a few dozen meters across the train station. The city is small, the hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the city center, and there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel room is large in Europe and France, and the price is higher. The suite I stayed in was a bit pleasantly surprised. For travelers who stay for a short day or two, this is a good choice.
GGuest UserThe staff is very good, the problem comes rather from the aspect of the building and the room. The glass door of the host is sparkled, the main light of the room does not work and a renovation would not hurt (ground, walls, ...qui must be original, just as the door and window, I have checked several times that they were closed well, so the lowest noise outside was hearable in the room. Despite this, the room is very clean; the bathroom also. Therefore, it is acceptable, especially given the low price
