This hotel is located in a very remote area, at the end of la ruta del Ché. It is a historical building that was used in the last days of Ché's life. The whole town lives for Ché. The hotel is basic, but you feel instantly at home. Aude, the lady running the place is french , is extremely friendly and a good cook. For dinner, a fire was lit and served outside. Beer and wine available at the bar.

Es un lugar muy auténtico y histórico. Todo es mantenido original y hay múltiples posibilidades para aprender la historia de La Higuera. La Casa del Telegrafista es un hotel muy familiar y cordial. Está en el medio de la cordillera, con aire muy limpio para curarse, increíbles puestos del sol y comida rica. ¡Cualquiera que quiere aprender la historia del Che necesita visitar La Higuera y lo mejor lugar para quedarse es La Cada dem Telegrafista!

We had the two room about 100 yards down from the main house. The benefit is full electricity and in suite bathrooms with very nice hot water showers. While tis is called a hostel, it is much more like a hotel. Fernando and his wife made us an awesome lasagna dinner. No one will be going hungry. We slept like babies. If you are interested in the history of the area, everything is within a few hundred yards.
