I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The front desk receptionist Miss Aileen was very welcoming and nice. It was my first time checking in alone and she helped me enroll for Hilton Honors, and to get used to the hotel a little bit. My room was fairly clean and spacious which I liked. I have an issue with other hotel bathooms not having proper doors and locks, so I'm glad this hotel's bathroom made me feel comfortable with its privacy. I did expect a better view on the patio, but it was blocked by tall grasses and bushes. The other staff that I asked assistance with were also helpful. I had a good experience.

Have stayed here multiple times over the years and it feels like it is showing its age with not a lot of reinvestment, surprising given the high rates they are charging. Rooms feel very spartan and tired. Bed is comfortable. The few outlets are supplemented by an extension cord for the lamb between the 2 beds. Lighting in bathroom very dim. No facial tissues left by housekeeping. Room got VERY STUFFY if you don't run the A/C full time and the A/C is VERY NOISY. We were given a top floor room, east-facing room facing the hills (not facing front of hotel with parking lot and busy Highway 29) and like that (except for the morning sun). There is only one elevator. Coffeemaker is 2-cup style using small tray packets, stale flavor. Mini-frig worked well. Complimentary breakfast was kept full and included 2 types of meat and 2 types of egg dishes. Property to be commended for no bogus fees. There are not a lot of better choices in this area for mid-level chain hotels, unfortunately. A better choice if you are OK with the distance is the new Residence Inn in nearby Fairfield.

Good value Hotel conveniently located near Napa Valley, got a two queen and a sofa bed room, not as $$$ as those hotels in the valley. Variety of foods available just next doors. Free Breakfast is similar to other Holiday Inn Express. Formed a queue during check-in but cleared up real soon.

Husband and I came here for a relax-by-the-pool babymoon weekend right before the birth of our second baby. We had a nice time. What the hotel lacks in polish, it makes up for with really nice, helpful staff and decent amenities. Pros: - we were initially assigned a small, first floor, cave-like room facing the parking lot and the management was able to reassign us to a much nicer 3rd floor room facing the pool! This made a huge difference in the quality of our stay. - the rooms have fully operable windows which was amazing. Do great to capture the cool breeze at night instead of running the noisy, stuffy AC - Beautiful pool and nice loungey area with big towels and configurable shade structure. The pool was busy but not too crowded which was nice. Water was lovely and very clean!! -all staff were incredibly kind and helpful -free EV charging was an awesome and unexpected perk -decent free breakfast Cons - older, smaller rooms with awkward layouts. Not a deal breaker for me. - they could really improve the free breakfast with a few small tweaks: 1. Please provide real coffee cups. Drinking coffee out of paper is such a drag plus it's just super wasteful. 2. Would love to see some fresh, cut fruit options 3. Ice at breakfast would be nice. - Location is meh. Know that you will be staying off a pretty busy street in basically a business/office park. This was a fine trade off but something to be aware of going into your stay. - too many tip solicitations signs everywhere. Makes the hotel feel cheap This would be a great, economical place to stay for an out of town family visiting napa for a wedding.

The review would be a five if it was only about the great staff there. George in housekeeping was very helpful and Keilani at the front desk was delightful to talk to. The review is a two for four reasons... 1) The indoor pool was a selling point but it was closed and completely torn up for renovations, which really should have been mentioned on the website to avoid disappointment. I felt intentionally deceived. 2) The fitness room AC was broken and it was a stiffling 80 degrees in there for a miserable workout. 3) The pullout sofa was worn and the mattress was thin and uncomfortable. 4) There was a hole punched in the bedroom door which was very poorly patched and the shower tub spigot was so poorly installed there was a big gap from the shower wall. A Homewood Suites shouldn't feel like a Motel 6.

What we liked, this trip and one previous (11/2022) about our stay at the union hotel: 1) Friendliness & ‘workable solution’ of management & staff. Arrived with one night’s booking (Saturday/ Sunday they were full) and was allowed to choose a room where air conditioner was temporarily not working for a second night at a discounted rate appx. $26 higher than where we had planned to stay in Martinez and $80 LESS than the least expensive of Benicia’s 3 other (over priced) options!?! 2) Continental breakfast: find it hard to believe comments that disparage the fine Continental breakfast the Union hotel puts out. There’s not much chance that Union MIGHT have let it’s game slip between when we stayed here, November ‘22 and this weekend; it was great BOTH times. I feel it is more likely that people are really hooked on the plasticity of what is offered by chains? Do they not realize they are being ($80!?) over-charged for a breakfast they could get built into the Union hotel’s more reasonable rates? Selection was creative, had variety, and most of all allowed us to go through till lunch without hunger. 3) Charm, functionality, and simplicity of furnishings while providing a comfortably firm bed and good pillows. Especially appreciated 2 chairs and a couch. 4) Price: clearly still a stay-in-Benicia section. Rates were 1/3 less than all others.

I traveled to the Bay Area for a memorial service. I had my 90 year old, disabled father in tow. After the long drive, my dad had great difficulty getting out of the car and walking. The friendly and helpful staff was right there to help me and even loaned us a wheelchair for the weekend. We got a suite on the 5th floor. Although it was not ADA accessible, it did have a walk-in shower and wide doorways. There was a nice balcony with a great view of the bay. The bedroom and living room had separate air controls (which was wonderful as I run hot and dad runs cold). There is a full, 6-person conference table in the suite! My cousins brought dinner over and we had a family dinner right in our room! We also hosted family and friends in the very comfortable downstairs bistro area for drinks and conversation. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was great!

GGuest UserWhile the hotel is in the ongoing process of updating/ improving (as most hotels are), this 5-star review is based on the management, level of service and efforts to accommodate guests. From the Operations Manager (Joseph) to the front desk staff, it is clear that the hotel values its guests and is striving to create a welcoming environment for all and ensure a comfortable stay. As a titanium elite, we were accommodated with all requests (quiet room, late checkout) and were treated as valued customers. A simple objective that is often lost regardless of class of hotel. For these reasons, we will return to the Courtyard Vallejo Napa Valley when back in the area.
Very good check-in process at a very small corner office area, even the free continental breakfast was to be retrieve from there, self-take muffins, cinnamon rolls and coffee, every morning. The bed was high for the kids, so be careful not to roll down during the night sleep. No bathtubs and blind, thus water was spilled all over the toilet floor. No lift to second floor and we have to carry 3 heavy luggages up the stairs, furthermore the width of the staircase was narrow which hinder the carry up process. Overall it was a nice inn with a small pool, environment is good with lots of carpark. Recommended!
Rreeves3963Great place to stay. Everything was nice and clean, and the staff was extremely helpful. Easy access to Six Flags, and a lot of restaurant choices in the area. I would Definitely recommend this as a place to stay. Pool area was also very nice and well kept.
TthedaywetravelThe hotel is located on a street corner where it was constantly NOISY throughout ALL hours of the day. Fast cars. People yelling. Shady characters. One evening at 1:05 AM there was a hotel guest who revved his/her car engine for what seemed like an eternity. It was SO LOUD, we couldn’t sleep! The overall look to the property has potential but the stairwell is dirty, sticky, and needs a serious deep cleaning. The carpeting in Room 215 was filthy and had stains. One of the pillow cases had a lipstick stain and other dirty marks on it. The shower handle was loose. The mini fridge and microwave were also dirty with food stains left behind by previous guests. There were people smoking **** at this property. The stench seeped into our room and gave us a headache. Beware the propery has limited parking! Lastly, the front desk agent was unfriendly and lacked customer service skills. He didn’t even inform us of the wifi access code or hotel check-out time. He literally looked at my photo ID, did not even look at my credit card, threw down my key with the room number written on it with a black marker. Seriously, no key jacket? It was very ghetto. The pros of our stay was that Room 215 was spacious. It had a rather large full kitchen with a gas burning stove and dining room attached to the bedroom, which was pleasantly surprising. Also, there was hot water and the shower pressure was good and strong. Clean towels were appreciated. I wouldn’t bother to stay here for more than 1-2 nights. We discovered Ruthie’s Caribbean Cafe down the street and her food is delicious! If you are a light sleeper and worry about shady people on the property, stay elsewhere!
