Great hotel & location, with a few excellent dining options. Friendly staff and spacious rooms. We stayed 3 days - although on our first day we couldn’t use the rooftop sun lounging area/bar and pool due to a private function which was a shame as we wanted to relax and use the hotel facilities having travelled all morning. The hotel is located right in the centre which meant it can be noisy outside if you have a room at the front and church Bells ring for hours on a Sunday morning from before 7am. Otherwise the perfect stay.

Fantastic stay in the heart of Valletta. I haven't seen such a clean hotel yet. The staff is always smiling and helpful. A great place worth recommending.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at a lovely hotel in the heart of Valletta. Having traveled extensively around the world, I can confidently say that this hotel stands out with its exceptional service. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home!!!!!! Our room was spotless and elegantly decorated, featuring a sauna. Although it was an internal room without a window facing the main street, the ambiance was still delightful. I had booked a room only option, but I noticed they offered a fantastic selection for breakfast, which I would love to try on my next visit. Overall, I can't wait to return to Malta and this charming hotel!

This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Valletta, making everything so easy to walk. From the moment I checked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming, even offering me a complimentary Prosecco, which was such a refreshing touch for such a long flight! My room was absolutely beautiful and had such a unique charm. The staff truly went above and beyond—they were all so friendly and helpful. And the breakfast? It was simply superb! Sitting on the platform, watching people stroll through the gorgeous streets, made it even more special. All in all, I can’t recommend this hotel enough and can’t wait to come back!

We booked the Rosselli through a well known and reputable travel agent. Our stipulation for a twin room was on the booking, followed up by us on a phone call to the hotel - 'Twin room - no problem' they said. We also sent an email. On arrival despite what reception said, the room was a double. 'Must be housekeeping - nothing we can do' was reception's stance. The next day, the reason given for the failure was that people who book through a third party are difficult to get hold of!!. I interpreted this that rooms booked through a travel agent are given less priority than those booked direct. Compensation was a free drink which was denied initially as no one had made a note of it. The first room was a rather gloomy dark marble, too many gadgets, no door on the bathroom and an automatic light in the toilet that went out while you sat! The mattress protector seemed to be old and crackled as you turned over in bed. Biscuits in the room bar were an astronomical price (we only found the price list elsewhere). I am probably getting a bit nit picky here but it all added up. The hotel moved us to another room half way through and this room was excellent. On the plus side, the hotel location is very central and I couldn't fault the majority of the staff. Breakfast outside was great with friendly and helpful service. The rooftop bar was excellent (when open) and the wine talk was superb. The second room was excellent and had a complementary bottle of local wine This hotel was very expensive and it was a special occasion for us - would we stay here again? Sorry but the answer is 'No'.

First the pros- great location, very friendly and helpful staff, Herons Suite room was spotless, spacious and funky. Now the cons- room very dark and one side lamp broken. Both TV remotes flat ( we did mention to housekeeping on the first night but nothing was done ). Housekeeping very short of staff, our room was not ready by 4pm on the second day. Soap selection tray was empty. Only one loo roll. We gave our credit card details upon arrival to set up credit, asked for drinks to be put on the bill and told it wasn't possible. Extra charges for some items at breakfast which I found odd. All in all, minor details missed and could be prefect.

Lovely hotel in a great central location. It has 3 good restaurants with a rooftop bar. It’s beautifully decorated and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You can have your breakfast inside or outside in the covered area. Check on the location of your room as some have internal windows only and although spacious and modern are a bit dark.

Spent 5 nights here in early October and loved it. It is in a great position right in the middle of lovely Valletta and close to all bars and restaurants. Rooms are great and the roof top bar is nice to chill during the day and have a drink in the evening. But what actually makes this place special is the staff. Everyone we interacted with was lovely - great service and very friendly. Special mention to Rohit and Katho who provided exceptional service and are a real asset to the hotel. We will be back !!

A lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The beds are very comfortable indeed. The hotel is steeped in history and has a lovely calm atmosphere. It is very central to ancient Valetta and a great base for exploring this wonderful city as just about everything is reachable on foot. A special mention is for the Michelin star restaurant, Under Grain, which is really excellent in every way .

Fantastic location, staff could not have been more helpful, breakfast was amazing, enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop terrace with a cocktail and used the splash pool to cool down after walking round the attractions in Valletta. Definitely a 5 star experience and would not hesitate to return

We had booked a short break quite late and stayed here Sunday-Thursday. From the moment we arrived, the attentiveness of all of the staff was first rate. Nothing was too much effort. Make sure you talk to them about them, some great backgrounds and to be able to share some of that enriched the experience. Upon their advice based on a maintenance issue we moved rooms, no issue, they were very apologetic and sought to ensure we were happy with the alternative. Breakfast, I honestly don’t know where to start - we believe this is the best breakfast choice, quality and service we have had in over 30 years of travelling. Whether it was continental, English breakfast, or anything in between, all superb. Will truly miss this. We ate at Grain Street twice, second time the tasting menu. Loved every dish without exception. Nowhere else we ate at this week compares to the quality and attention to detail and service that the hotel offers. The soap menu in the rooms is a nice touch, we took opportunity to use this.

So we arrived at the hotel and Very clean and very well presented lobby. The staff welcomed us as soon as we arrived with a couple of glasses of proseco and and room upgrade. We stayed in a junior suite and it was gorgeous with a balcony overlooking merchant street and . The staff could not do enough for you always very polite and helpfully particularly the concierge. It really was the 5 star service. The rooftop area was also gorgeous. I could not recommend this hotel enough felt very special staying there. We had no problem with noise and like some have said the pool is small but we expected that in as it is Valletta.

We really enjoyed our stay with my wife at AX Rosselli Privilege! It’s the best boutique hotel we’ve ever stayed, and we travel a lot! Staff is very professional and attentive, we felt really very welcomed. It goes without saying, that the food in Michelin restaurant is amazing, we loved our breakfasts and dinners! We will definitely come back!!! Thank you AX Rosselli Privilege!

Firstly this hotel has a perfect location, very well appointed and maintained to a very high standard. The staff, to a person, are all attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable and a true reflection of what a five star hotel needs to have to impress. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the A/C is superb and the bathroom is delightful. The dining areas, both inside and out, are a thoroughly pleasant place to sit and enjoy the food and drink on offer. There are, however, a couple of issues do detract from the experience and make the cost hard for me to justify. The whole entrance to the hotel reception and lobby is marble and glass, as are the short walkways to the rooms, which generates a huge echo chamber which amplifies bedroom doors closing, people laughing and general chit chat. Obviously this cannot be avoided but it is frustrating to have to listen to. However the noise from outside is, at times, overbearing as the hotel is situated on Merchant Street (one of the main thoroughfares through the city) and can last until well after midnight. On top of that the continual scraping of tables, chairs or sun loungers both outside on the street and above our ceiling on the roof top terrace is not acceptable in a hotel of this standard. A simple solution is to have two people carrying as opposed to one person dragging. Other little niggles include the pool which is well photographed on the website but is very, very small (plunge pool only), the windows in our room were at knee height with no balcony and the room remained on the dark side during the day. I understand what has tired to be achieved with this hotel and in many, many ways the mission has been accomplished but the issues described above do detract from overall experience. I won’t divulge the cost of the weeks stay as I am not looking for a refund of any kind however I would struggle to justify a return visit. To sum up, the staff and food are this establishments biggest assets (The Under Grain restaurant is a true masterclass in fine dining, the Street Grain restaurant is fantastic as well). The physical structure of the hotel cannot altered and some of my ‘issues’ may never be addressed but others can, and should be. My wife wanted to give a 4 star review which demonstrates that some of what is commented on is down to personnel preference.

It was a very good hotel that has a lot of support. It has a restaurant called grain street supporting the hotel which had a Michelin star of 2024 . The food was delicious and it has very good people serving food. It’s receptionist and they recommended only the best restaurants of Malta. It had a lamp post that controlled every light in the room.
