The room we got has an en-suite bathroom and overall it’s pretty clean. The location is around 5-10 minute walk to the R4 and 16 bus route, which is accessible to downtown (~30 mins) and oakridge station (10mins). The house is located up so guests need to walk up a slope if you have no car. Despite the poor review left by previous guests, we find the host very welcoming and helpful. The room is not glamorous but basic amenities are present. There are a bit of communication hassle with the check in. But overall the stay was pleasant.

The room is clean, but I don't recommend this when you want your own toilet in the room. You will only have a bed, a table, a chair and a water boiler. Nothing more, and to make it clear, the washroom is outside and be shared with everyone who's currently staying. Though the person in charge is kind, he doesn't speak English. They'll change the address before you check in.

First, I couldn't get in touch with the hotel. They told me to call them, so I did, but we couldn't communicate. We couldn't understand each other in English. They said they would send me an SMS, but I didn't receive it. Then, I got a call from a different number saying that SMS messages couldn't be sent to the number listed on TRIP, so I tried using Gmail, but I couldn't get through. I was so fed up that I called TRIP about three times. I couldn't get in touch with the hotel twice, and when I arrived at the hotel, there were no amenities listed on TRIP. When I asked, they said they were shared. If that's the case, please write that. There was only a bed and a table in the room. When I asked if there was a sofa in the inquiry, they said there was, but when I actually got into the room there was nothing like that. There was no TV, no hair dryer, no towels, nothing. TRIP, please inspect the hotel properly. There was a refrigerator in the kitchen in the shared area, but it was in disrepair. There was no air conditioner either. I didn't think it would be this bad, so I should have canceled as soon as I couldn't communicate with them. I don't want to give a bad rating, but TRIP handled a lot of things for me, so that's the only positive thing I can say. Thank you TRIP for your quick response. I think it would be best to have someone who speaks Chinese make reservations at the hotel. A deposit is required for check-in. Was that written? I don't think it was written... Check-out was very smooth, as you'd expect for a self-service hotel. I received my deposit back in good condition. The communication method and amenities should be properly written down so there are no mistakes.

I have to live in a dilapidated house with several other families. The kitchen fumes are all over the house. The furniture, bedding, etc. in the room are all cheap and old things.
