Check In Date : 29th August 2022. Check Out Date : 30th August 2022. Room : 505. Location : The hotel is located just 10mins walk from the main Vang Vieng Road. It is quite central and there is a small grocery shop in front of the hotel. We were walking from EK Mart and it is easy to just follow the main road and turn right on the temple with green statue. Then we reached the hotel which looks just amazing outside. But the area is quite quiet during the night. There is a small restaurant near the hotel which is frequented by the locals and the food is cheap but taste just as amazing. Reception and Lounge : The recep area is spacious and looks grand. The check in counter is small and there are soft cushions to relax while waiting for check in. The reception speaks good english and very helpful too. The whole area is spotlessly shiny. The guy working surprised me. When we parked our motorcycle right in front of the hotel for the night, the recep guy told us to bring the motorcycle inside. By inside, I mean, in the lounge area. It is the safest area to left the bike at night because it is right inside the building. Room : Room 505 is just spacious and grandiouse in terms of EVERYTHING. The size is massive, the bed is soft, the bathroom is big, the AC works well and the best part is the view. The 2 windows in the room gave us the best view of the mountains. We simply love it. It is highly refreshing knowing that I woke up seeing the karst mountain that made the backdrop of Vang Vieng town. The mattress are super soft and the free space is just crazy. The room can fit 3 double beds simply. We think we get more than what we paid. The fridge works well too. The lighting is also nice.' Facilities : This hotel is disabled friendly. It has a working elevator to reach the high floor and it has all the necessity to cater for the old person. The dining hall is located just next to the reception area and it has many tables too, good for chatting with other guests. The swimming pool is located at the far end of the recep area and it is medium in size. There are several chairs provided there. I was swimming in the pool around 8pm, and was the only one. Breakfast : The choice is not much during our stay maybe because the occupancy is low. There are fried rice, porridge, bread, cereals, eggs and some sausages. The porridge taste super nice. Satisfaction : We are really satisfied with the hotel and through our stay. We highly recommend this hotel for other traveler.

Hotel location is ok, more distinctive, can go to a friend with a sick high fever, no time to enjoy the scenery, just play breakfast with the hotel cat
Sansan Resort

We stayed at Sansan for 4 nights and it was the most relaxing time we’ve had during our time travelling. There is a lovely pool area and the hotel itself is set away from the main road so it is very peaceful. The breakfast is quite simple and the same each day but overall good. The rooms are lovely and big and we had an amazing view over the field that backs onto the hotel grounds. We rented a moped for 150kip for the day which seemed the same as the town. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into the town centre, via what feels like a dusty carpark. It also doubled up as a market. Overall I would highly recommend Sansan as a relaxing stay in Vang Vieng.

It is a relatively good hotel in Vang Vieng. There are not many rooms. The rooms in small villas are easier to live in. Many people who cannot book a room during the holidays borrow the balcony sofa to take pictures. The hotel restaurant is very good. The only drawback is that it is not a high-star hotel. , so there is no bathtub in the room, and there is no swimming pool in the hotel. If you are not staying in the hotel, it is also a very good choice to have pizza. 😬

Vang Vieng City Center
I am Japanese. This hotel was the best during my 5-day trip to Laos. The price and quality are worth it. I have stayed at various hotels in Southeast Asia, but this hotel is definitely a 4 star. Unfortunately, there is a difference between this hotel and the 5 star hotels, but I think this hotel is one of the best 4 star hotels. First of all, the location is good. Vang Vieng is a small city. The central area is shaped like an oval, and if you stay within that circle, you can't go wrong. This is something I learned after staying there for 3 days. There is a convenience store that is open 24 hours a day right in front of this hotel. There are almost no convenience stores in the city, and there is only one other convenience store that is open 24 hours a day. So having a convenience store right in front of you can be a big advantage. The fruit smoothie shop next to the hotel is very cheap and delicious. I have traveled to various countries in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cambodia, but there is no store that can beat the taste and price of this one. What's more, it is open until midnight. It's only a 5-second walk from the hotel, and it's so cheap that it's practically like a hotel drink bar. Next is the staff's service. Basically, everyone can understand English. This is not common in hotels in Laos, so it's a big plus. And the staff are kind and friendly. For example, when I asked, ”I want to rent an electric bicycle. Do you know a good shop?”, they replied, ”I'll call someone from the shop and have them bring the bicycle to the front of the hotel, of course, there's no extra charge.” It's common in Japan, but I was surprised to be able to have such an exchange overseas, especially in Southeast Asia. By the way, for some reason I ended up going directly to the electric bicycle shop later, and the price was exactly the same. To return the bicycle, I only had to leave the key at the hotel front desk, which was very helpful. When traveling to Vang Vieng, an electric bicycle is definitely a must (of course, a motorbike is fine, but bicycles are not allowed), so this kind of service is very much appreciated. Also, one day I returned to the hotel in heavy rain, and they brought me a bath towel. I was very grateful because I couldn't go back to my room soaking wet. When I asked for recommendations on restaurants in the evening, they gave me some recommendations and asked me with a grin, ”Massage? Lao Girl?” (It's great that it ends when you say no, whereas street vendors are persistent even if you say no). In short, the staff were wonderful. As for the room, there were no problems. The bed and furniture were clean and beautiful. However, the door was a little old (no problem in use), and there was an inevitable problem with insects. This was the case in all hotels in Laos, so there was probably nothing that could be done about it. Also, when I returned to the room on the second day, there was a slight sewage smell. This is also common in other countries. I was bothered by this smell in the tower apartment I lived in in Malaysia. It would be better if they had insect repellent or deodorizing spray. The breakfast was neither good nor bad. When I chose the hotel, all the plans included breakfast, so I think of it as a ”free breakfast,” but if it was free, I would be satisfied with it. In addition, the shared spaces were cool and clean, so there was nothing to complain about at this hotel. I had to choose between staying at a ”hotel with many reviews and average ratings” or a ”hotel with few reviews but high ratings,” so I chose the latter and I'm glad I made the right choice. Vang Vieng was a wonderful city. I'll definitely come back, and when I do, I'll stay at this hotel.
