Tornando dalla Liguria di ponente verso Parma mi sono fermato in questo posto di altri tempi. Piatti della tradizione ben curati da gustare sotto un bel pergolato. Ho mangiato i croxetti al burro che per quanto semplici sono sempre una delizia ed un vitello tonnato che può competere con le migliori forchette piemontesi.

Premetto che il borgo di Varese Ligure, in provincia di La Spezia, è veramente una perla dell'Appennino Ligure, inserito tra i borghi d'Italia da visitare. Siamo stati a pranzo all' albergo ristorante Amici con arredi di una eleganza ormai dimenticata, che crea una accogliente atmosfera stile "retrò". Il ristorante, di antica tradizione e generazioni (dal 1760), non propone una vastissima scelta di piatti, ma tutto di ottima qualità e ben cucinato. Personale molto gentile ed ottimo anche il rapporto locale-prezzo-qualità. Dopo pranzo consiglio di andare a vedere anche il Passo Cento Croci (circa 20 minuti, al confine con la provincia di Parma) perchè la strada è molto panoramica.

Ottimo il rapporto qualità /prezzo. L'hotel, nonostante sia un bel po' datato, è comunque funzionale. La posizione tutto sommato comoda se si vuol raggiungere il mare (in una oretta ca) così come se si vuol fare qualche passeggiata nei dintorni o giro in moto (vedi il passo cento croci). Varese Ligure è inoltre un borgo molto carino che merita una visita. Le camere sono tutto sommato complete di quanto necessario (es frigo, climatizzatore e asciugacapelli) e abbastanza comode. Forse nei bagni ci sarebbe da mettere qualche gancio in più al quale appendere gli asciugamani. La colazione soddisfacente e con un po' di tutto. Noi abbiamo inoltre avuto modo di testare anche il ristorante dell albergo dove abbiamo mangiato decisamente bene. Servizio nel complesso veloce e cordiale anche se distaccato e anche se un po' tutto lo staff dovrebbe ogni tanto sorridere di più. Disponibilità di parcheggio in loco.

Ho scelto questo Albergo per una gita in moto con amici bikers sui passi montani che circondano la zona. L'Hotel è storico e conserva l'impronta che hanno le strutture di tale genere. La pulizia è ottimale e le camere comode e confortevoli con tutto il necessario per un buon soggiorno. E' presente un bel cortile dove si può mangiare fuori e parcheggiare al coperto. La prima colazione è completa di tutto. Grazie dell'ospitalità

Etwas abgelegen dafür sehr ruhig. Älteres traditionelles Familienhotel mit bekanntem Restaurant. Parkplätze vor dem Haus. Vom Empfang bis zur Verabschiedung alles ok. Mit dem Frühstück wird man satt. Optimal für Motorradfahrer!

I stayed two very good nights at the Albergo Amici. On arrival Marco came out to greet me and showed me where to park. The hotel is a wonderful authentic Italian family run hotel. The decor is mostly original and there are many nice touches such as the crockery with the hotel name. I ate in the restaurant and that too was very good. All the staff are friendly and very attentive. I even asked if they could do some laundry for me, and they were happy to help.
