Cocogiri Island Resort Maldives

Perfect holiday for us. After extensive research and trawling through loads of reviews and locations (driving my husband crackers) we decided to try Cocogiri and lucky for us we hit the jackpot. I could not fault anything, from the resort itself to the friendly and welcoming staff who only add to the personal experience. A small intimate resort which we loved. Plenty to do if you could tear yourself away from relaxing on your sunbed enjoying the stunning views. Several excursions, water sports, snorkelling or diving. We stayed in a beach villa which was everything I hoped it would be and more. The bathrooms are stunning and the beds large and very comfortable. They are cleaned daily and everything kept to a high standard. I’ve never written a review before but had to let people know how perfect this island resort is and to help someone like me to choose the perfect holiday.

There are not enough words or ways to describe how perfect this resort is, from the location, room, food, staff, facilities. The staff cannot do enough for you, the rooms are incredible and cleaned/maintained to such a high standard, the food options are so varied from breakfast, lunch and dinner…we’ve had Italian, Indian, French. We cannot recommend this resort highly enough. The only problem is that we cannot stay longer!!!! The resort manager, Valentina, runs an incredible resort and is always on standby to make sure your holiday is perfect.

Just returned from an amazing 10 days at CocoGiri cannot fault the resort. The accommodation was just perfect we stayed in one of the beach villas, number 112 what a view, stunning sunsets. The food, different dishes at every meal time the flavours were amazing. The whole team were friendly, working hard to make sure a fantastic holiday was had by all. The snorkelling on the house reef was incredible even non swimmers can experience the underwater life.. Would definitely recommend taking beach shoes. Cannot recommend this resort enough, especially if you are looking for a totally relaxex and chilled holiday in paradise hope to return. Thank you to the whole team for making us so welcome.

Just left the most wonderful resort. We had the most amazing stay and felt we had found a little Peace of heaven !! When we arrived lovely welcome straight onto a speed boat transfer took about 70 mins. Lovely welcome at cocogiri taken to our water bungalow the view was breathtaking!! We loved the room and bathroom were you sat in the bath with a window with fabulous view of the ocean. We loved snorkelling and swimming of our bungalow. Reef was good we saw lots of Ray, sharks and turtles as well as 100’s of different fish. Some days we sat by the pool and enjoyed the atmosphere and then a nice walk back across the beach. Breakfast lunch and dinner was a buffet with a huge variety of choice and also a cooking station !! All floors are sand so you only really need flip flops. We had a romantic dinner on beach all done very nicely as it was a special occasion . We did a trip with turtles and sharks swam with them. So many sharks was excellent. AI meant we could have plenty of drinks waters wine local spirits and some cocktails great choice and if you wanted anything else there is a nice a la carte menu. I loved the fact it’s a very small resort and you could chill and relax and in the evening just a floaty dress or shorts and top Then you come onto the staff. Lead by Tina she was amazing and had her eye on everything. The place was so well run !! The staff always smiled and had time for everyone. The service was just wonderful I also went to the spa twice and had excellent treatments ! What more can I say except we will be back we will tell all our friends and suggest if you like Lied back quiet and peace no need to rush around just relax this is the most amazing resort for you Don’t forget snorkels and mask and suncream and a few good books !!

We have just come back from a wonderful stay at Cocogiri and i can honestly say i couldn’t fault this resort one bit. It is truly magical place! I was a little apprehensive having read some negative reviews but really need not have worried. If you’re looking for a huge 5 star resort thats like the ritz then this place isn’t for you. It is not a city hotel and cannot be compared to one. It’s a tiny yet stunning slice of paradise that has 5 star natural beauty, turquoise sea, perfect white beaches and perfect accommodation, the food is delicious and the staff are fantastic. What more do you need from a stay in the maldives! If you want loads of bars and entertainment then go to ibiza! We stayed in a premium beach villa, it had the most amazing view and it felt like we had our own private beach right outside our door. Im glad we chose this over a water villa as they only have decking to sunbathe on. The room was well equipped. No need to bring towels, hairdryer or shampoos. Its all in the room. Even beach and pool towels are supplied. The food was fantastic and great for vegetarians like myself. Great variety and the best curries I’ve ever eaten! They do a package deal on excursions/activities which is well worth the money. You get to visit two snorkelling spots, go on a trip to snorkel with sharks and turtles and a go on a jet ski. It was fantastic! The house reef is the best I’ve ever seen, the marine life is stunning, sharks and turtles on your door step. We saw the every time we went in the water. Do be aware of the very strong current though! We cant wait to go back!
