Beautiful accommodation in a quiet area of Cannaregio. Check in is at the Hotel ca d'oro which is situated less than a 5 minute walk away. We booked a suite and it far exceeded our expectations (room 24). This had a beautiful outdoor veranda which was so quiet. Attention to detail was beautiful with paintings on the walls and modern facilities. Towels and slippers were included as well as rea, coffee and shampoo and shower gel. The accommodation is in easy walking distance to all of the attractions in Venice and some lovely local restaurants.

Strategic location between the station and Piazza San Marco, delightful apartment with small kitchenette, everything taken care of down to the smallest detail, the cleanliness impressed me, the kindness of the staff gives that something extra. I only had problems with the thermostat, when we left the room it automatically set itself at 22 degrees and when we returned it felt like the Caribbean, being at street level I couldn't open the windows to ventilate, other than that, everything was ok

Good alternative to the usual hotel rooms, quiet area, large and modern rooms, definitely worth considering next time, the shared garden which allows you to stay out in the sun is also very welcome. Nice ok

I had a lovely stay at Ca de la Fonte. My flight was delayed so I didn't manage to check in at the sister hotel until 10pm but there was a lady there waiting for us who took us over to the apartment and showed us how to use the key card. There were a couple of downsides: Unfortunately the first night we couldn't get the air con to work but it turned out the key card just needed removing from the wall and slotting back in again! The mini fridge wasn't cold and when testing the safe it locked and wouldn't reopen (very glad it tested it before putting anything in there..) However the apartment was very comfortable and spacious and the location was perfect. We loved sitting in the courtyard for breakfast each morning and it was a 2 minute stroll to a fruit and veg stall and a Co-Op. The apartment was in a less touristy area so it was lovely passing by the local people on our walks.

Nice hotel in Cannaregio Venice. Close to all attractions. Simple and clean. Amazing restaurants and cute Jazz bar close by. You do need to check into another hotel Ca Doro to get your key. Not a big deal. Customer service is great and always available.

I booked 3 nights at Hotel Ca De la Fonte. First Night: I stayed in room nº21, I didn't sleep at all due to noises coming from another floor. Second Night: they changed our room, to nº24, but we didn't sleep at all either because the mirror light came on by itself. That night we asked the service employee to change our room, again, but he was extremely rude and the solution he came up with was to remove the room card (which would end up cutting off all the lights, and air conditioning included) or the "fantastic" solution he came up with when he came to our room in the middle of the night.....to cover the mirror lights with the curtain. On the last day we checked out, we said we would request a refund for the 2 nights we didn't sleep, we were told yes. When we arrived in Portugal, the person in charge of the Hotel Ca De La Fonte told us that he would only issue a refund if we removed the negative comment we had made on the Booking page about the space. We ended up withdrawing, against our will, so they gave us a refund but only for one night. Moral of the story: Hotel Ca De La Fonte is for escaping. Never. Sleepless nights. Rude staff. Management who blackmail customers. HORRIBLE

Nice quiet place but still close to San Marco and most of the attractions in Venice. I like this place because it is also close to the local cafe and restaurants in Cannarigio and San Paolo. You will feel more local vs the tourist places west of San Marco.
