Rooms in Venice cost a lot of money…this place at least felt like good value. It’s an upmarket hostel in a historically interesting building. Nice and clean, with friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again.

The building is very close to the Vaporetto stop, but a little away from the crowded area, so you can relax. It is a renovated monastery, but it is a complex with restaurants and bars, and it was very stylish. The front desk staff were very friendly and kind! Also, the male staff member working at the bar had lived in Japan and spoke a little Japanese, so he would greet me whenever we met in the building, which was nice! I stayed here for three nights, but I regret not being able to meet him at check-out and say hello. The only disappointment was that the cleaning lady opened the door to our room without knocking at around 11am on the second day, and the drain in the bathroom was clogged, making it difficult to drain. However, we had a canal view from our room and it was a wonderful stay, so if we come to Venice again, we will stay here!
