Locanda Antico Fiore

We arrived at the entrance 20 minutes earlier and no one was there, with locked door. We tried to call and received an automatic message stating that the number does not exist! We started to think of a scam! Someone eventually arrived and opened the door, with no clear explanation about the telephone number. The room was dusty, a couple of light bulbs did mot work, leaking air conditioning. A big thank to Melissa, who helped us to have at least the light bulbs replaced and was very kind throughout our 2- night stay. Apart from Melissa and the good location, a poor and expensive experience.

I made a reservation at this hotel at 21h30. I received a message from the hotel at 22h giving me a code for the door and saying “upstairs you will find the key of the room number 7 on the 2nd floor”. I arrived at 22h30. I couldn’t find the entrance and sent them a message and tried to call them. No answers. A neighbour came out and showed me the entrance. After climbing a staircase, I pushed open a door that led to the reception desk to find a room completely plunged in the dark. I found the light but no key at reception. I made my way to the room after climbing a second flight of stairs. At the end of the corridor, I found room 7. There was no key on the door. I opened the door and turned on the light to find a room like in a horror movie. An unmade bed with dirty sheets and a dirty towel on it. Another dirty towel rolled in a ball on a chair. Everything very dirty and messy. I ran out leaving the light on and the door open. I'm a woman travelling alone and I was very scared. No one anywhere and no lights. I had to find another hotel when it was already very late. The next morning I received a message from them saying “you have to pay, shame on you”. They then called to insult me saying I left the room like that. I explained to them what happened, they pretended not to understand or that I was lying and they just hung up. I took pictures and screenshots of everything but cannot add pictures to this review. I'm still in shock and was very scared for my safety.

After we got a confirmation two months prior to arrival we were registered and got room and keys. At 10 pm returning after dinner, our luggage was packed by them and put in a public area down the stairs behind the entrance door. A note said: “The room is booked for another customer.” The phone number they left on that note was wrong. Three other phone numbers of this hotel did not work: two of them were correct but they hang up on us, calling repeatedly, unanswered. Also the following days nobody called back. When we went a few days later, a nice, yet highly inexperienced lady in the reception called the manager. After less than a one minute call she told us there’s nothing she can do for us. No one took responsibility. The manager did not even apologize. We were never contacted by email either- except for the confirmation after booking, 2 months earlier.
