This place is fantastic! The location itself, while quite a bit out of the way, is BEAUTIFUL. The rooms are beautifully appointed inside. We really liked the selection of steam rooms and saunas, and the fact that the steam rooms have a great smell in each one. One small draw back is a lack of a cold plunge in the spa area. The breakfast they serve is tasty and comes with a great view.

This was our second stay at Sparkling Hill over the past couple of years. This visit we had more time to explore more of the resort. Customer service throughout the resort was excellent, they really go out of their way to make sure you’re being looked after. Resort itself is stunning, and the views are breathtaking. Rooms are soundproof. Everywhere on the resort is kept immaculately clean. Pool & hot tub area is nice, pools could be a couple degrees warmer but were comfortable for this time of year. We checked out all of the different Saunas, what a cool experience- enjoyed all of the lovely smells. Our room service dinner from Peakfine was delicious. The only negative thing we experienced was the long wait to get in for the breakfast that is included. We noticed this at both visits but this one was particularly long. Finally got seated 40 mins after our reservation time. The staff was pleasant and calm and handling it as best they could and the food came out fast once we were seated however. All in all this is an amazing resort. Moms and Dads, you need this little getaway! This will be an annual trip for us from now on. This place is soooo beautiful!

The resort truly is a gem (pun intended). We thoroughly enjoyed the spa with its range of saunas, steam rooms, pools, and serenity room. The room (2nd floor) had a stunning view, comfortable bed, great shower. The restaurant food is decent - though the tasting menu offered wine pairing of New Zealand wine when so much locally would be better. Must note that the breakfast granola contains EXTREMELY hard (like peanut brittle) bits that broke my crown - even though I was eating mindfully. So be careful! And as breakfast is included there was no offer for compensation. :( Overall though I do recommend a stay here. I can’t think of many other places that encourage you to wear your robe and slippers to breakfast!

We spent a quiet week here celebrating a birthday. We did a five night package which included three meals a day for each of us plus a spa service credit. Rooms are spectacular, Swarovski crystals are everywhere. Apparently there are about 3.5 Million installed throughout the resort. Spa services and facilities are top notch although the hot tub was down the entire length of our stay. Food was quite good but pricey for what you got.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Sept 2024. It was the 8th hotel on a 3 week driving trip around Canada and probably the best hotel. The room was amazing on the 3rd floor with a spectacular view of the Lake (try to pick the lake view rooms if booking). The spa had everything you could think of in it and is free to use for hotel guests. The price was very reasonable compared with the other hotels we've stayed in so far.

We stayed here as we wanted a reasonable place in the wine country area on our way back to Vancouver before flying home. It’s a decent location there are reasonable hiking trails nearby including ones off the property in predator ridge. Not near lots of wineries Kelowna better for that which is an hour away. Resort itself is a spa place everyone wandering around in robes. Spa itself is very good large and spacious. We didn’t have any treatments but we used the pool, gym and steam rooms/sauna which were good. Not enough beds around the pool the few that are there fill up quickly in the summer. Decor generally a bit tired and needs an upgrade and refurbishment. Swarovski crystals everywhere which we thought was naff but some other guests took lots of pictures so we are probably in the minority. Service was good, food ok not amazing. Bar more like a cafe with zero atmosphere. So in summary a nice spa hotel set in a lovely part of the world but could do with a full refurb to bring it up to modern standards

PROS: Free wifi, valet and parking with EV charging. They offer a complimentary beverage (can have alcohol). The rooms are huge and beautiful (but a little dated). The spa is world-class. CONS: No one ever picks up the phone when you call for help before arrival and they are VERY slow to respond to email, if they do at all. This is painfully frustrating and what one would expect from a 2-start hotel. Once in your room, good luck getting through to the front desk, they NEVER pick up when you call them either so you have to walk to the front desk for every question you have. One of the elevators wasn’t working when we were there so you could not get to the lobby half the time without walking from the 2nd floor. The check-in is late in the day, at 4 pm and they kick you out at 10 am leaving very little time to enjoy what you are paying for. The cocktails are overpriced and way too sweet. We ended up sending them back. The food in the restaurant was bland or oversalted. They also now force you to stay 2 nights on the weekend. Gordon Ramsey needs to rip the owner(s) apart. Apparently, the owner micromanages the management, which is why the place is the way it is. Rebrand the restaurant and start from scratch. A place this nice with a world-class spa should have much higher reviews but it does not deserve them based on the other issues. Too bad, it could be so much better.

For the last three years in July we go to Sparkling Hills to celebrate our anniversary. There are so many things we look forward to. The setting is stunning, the staff are helpful and knowledgeable . There were several things that were not great at all this trip. Previously we could check in and use the facilities from 1:00pm until our room was ready. This year it was $60.00. I can arrive early at a Fairmont Gold floor and all amenities are available. There were less than 30 loungers by the pool, the hotel was full so getting seating was near impossible. One of the things I enjoyed was going to the tea room and choosing from a wide selection of teas and curling up with my book. No longer are there selections of teas instead one big pot of tea. It feels like little corners are being cut, for the price point it is the little things that matter. Unfortunately we will not be back; prices are higher and what made it unique is slowly being taken away.
