Sea Turtle Inn

Location- great. 2 blocks from beach and great downtown-ish spots. Room-great. Can’t comment on regular rooms but we rented the apt with 2 bedrooms 2 full baths and a full kitchen. Set up- great The kitchen was great size. Included table and chairs, full fridge, full dishwasher and oven/ micro. Everything you would need -and could ask for additional things like cutting board at the front desk or from maid. The primary was king bed. Secondary was twins. Big spacious rooms and closets. Iron available. Pullout couch in LR. Two TVs. Semi private deck with umbrella tables out front of unit. The only downer was the second shower had difficulty draining. We told the front desk but they did not send the plumber to check during our three night stay (not available). I felt they should have treated it more urgently with the amount of money we paid ($250 a night) and gotten a back-up plumber in to check it out on Monday while we were at the beach. That higher service level does not seem to be a tenant of this hotel. Although I agree with other reviewers the cleaning service was commendable. Oh and one other negative was although all the other beds were rated very comfy, the pullout was rated as very uncomfortable. Extras- great. The hotel website mentions that you could rent beach items at the beach a block away if you flew in to the area, but a bonus was that they had a stash of chairs, umbrella and even beach toys and beach towels to borrow during our stay! Instead of the walk to beach, we drive to Ft Pierce State Park -well worth the drive and $6 per car entry fee. Price- a bit high for the venue rating but you pay for the location. Not that ideal but we wanted to be on the barrier island and it was the cheapest option for that and too many hidden fees in air bnb options for houses we found inland. The place is a short walk to Cravings a friendly deli (ice cream and breakfast sandwiches /coffee drinks too) and Ocean Grill and Mulligans 2 great oceanside restaurants and a cute downtown area with live music outside. Pool. We did use the small 5ft deep pool one night- located in the center court of the inn. A pretty garden setting well-foliaged and private from the outside with a few umbrella tables and a generous row of lounge chairs. My college/hs children and I enjoyed a late night dip bc the place was vacant. Over the weekend there was a killer late night party at the pool and we barely noticed any hubbub even though our bedrooms overlooked the pool. Well sound-proofed! Was not a problem. The front desk said they didn’t mind as long as not disruptive. I do believe the front desk associate lived on-site so it is their backyard as well to ensure things aren’t disruptive to other guests. Laundry. OK. One washer/dryer set available for coin laundry BYO detergent. I got change from the 7-11 up the street. $3.00 for a wash/dry. Would I stay again? We went here as a family in April and we loved it. First time at Vero Beach and the Sea Turtle Inn was a very convenient location, right across from the beach and shops/restaurants. We stayed in an older model room, original age and it was perfectly fine! Clean and good size. Beds and linens were clean and comfortable. Had a kitchen to cook, coffee maker and all necessities. Ron the co-owner was great! Made us feel at home, gave us beach towels, beach chairs and whatever we needed. Laundry room on sight, very convenient. We definitely plan to return soon! TonyL.

Hotel room smelt musty, and was damp - as evidenced by mould on blinds and the dehumidifier. Decor, interior, fixtures and bathroom so outdated, old and need replacing. Linens looked clean but who knows. Not enough towels for all the guests. Really poor. Only redeeming feature was the garden. None of this hotel was as depicted in the photos. AC unit was also old, loud and good luck to you if you stay in summer you’re going to be hot.

Very basic lodging. The bed was kind of soft. I didn't use the coffee pot because it wasn't clean inside the water chamber. Nice linens and it had an air purifier, which was nice. The outdoor area is very nice. We probably wouldn't stay here again because it just wasn't super clean.

We rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. It was very clean, and comfortable also updated. We really enjoyed our patio as well. Everything in kitchen was in working order and the kitchen was stocked nicely. Housekeeping everyday and she did an awesome job!

I needed a one night stay, which is hard to come by in the area, but was lucky to book at the Sea Turtle Inn. Centrally located and a walk to the best coffee shops, restaurants/bars and beach and parking! I was also able to leave my luggage and check-in sooner when the room was available. My room, a small efficiency, was lovely, clean and reminded me of fond vacationing memories in Palm Springs. There were inspiring and beachy messages I loved :) It was quiet and lively, perfect atmosphere for a single person. The women who run Sea Turtle are kind, accommodating and fun. I will definitely return myself and recommend this Vero gem for your stay.

I just spent three nights at the Sea Turtle Inn and I was really happy with my whole stay. My room was spacious and clean and lots of amenities, the pool was clean and inviting, the overall vibe of the place was peaceful, quiet, well cared for, surrounded by flowering garden, several restaurants within a block or two. I've stayed in four different hotels in the Vero area in the last six months and this one was definitely the best.

The Sea Turtle Inn is a dump and we wouldn't stay here again if it was free. Negative reviews are very accurate. PAY ATTENTION!!!! When we opened the door to our room, we were hit with an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. There were hairs on the bathroom sink. Bed was uncomfortable. AC unit had to be restarted during the night and we almost checked out in the middle of the night.

Room 9. Highlights: Dirty coffee pot with old grinds still inside. Mason jar with cloudy brown water and sickly plant cuttings. Kleenex dispenser empty. Towels with makeup stain (in spite of posted notice that guests will be charged for leaving stained linens.) They replaced the broken toilet seat, though. And on checkout day, when we returned from breakfast at 9 am to use the bathroom, we found the maid already cleaning and our reading material and papers in a trash bag outside the door. Bed was comfortable.
