The room was very clean, the ladies and gentlemen at the reception were very accommodating and explained the city map very well to us regarding the sights. Breakfast was very good.

Comfortable hotel, close to the train station... about 20 min to the center... but nothing else

Very favorite hotel

We started our Italian holiday with 2 nights in the Ark and were very pleased with our room-stylish and clean.We had a lovely welcome from the reception staff.The breakfast offered plenty of choice. Disappointingly ,the last night of our holiday was also spent in The Ark in room 114.This room was not of the same standard of our previous room...There was a crack in the toilet cistern, the shower when used flooded the bathroom,the walls were scuffed,our bed table lights needed charged and when charged provided very little light to read with. Then this morning our key card wouldn't let us back into our room ! I asked to moved but the hotel was full.The reception staff did all they could to help but I would suggest that room 114 should not have been for sale until to repair work had been completed.

Located about 30 minute walk into the heart of Verona, this hotel is ideally positioned close to town with ample parking but also walking distance to restaurants and the tourist sights. Staff here are very helpful and the rooms themselves are clean and average in size for a hotel room. We’re lucky to have been upgraded although one would wonder how much smaller the room we originally were booked into would’ve been.

Really well located hotel in Verona.. approximately 5-10 minutes walk to the train station and around 10-15 minutes walk into the centre. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with good bathroom and plenty of storage for our clothes. Breakfast was good with a variety of choice..not so big with the cooked breakfast but plenty of pastries and cakes for the sweeter tooth. Verona is a beautiful place and we used it as our base to travel around by train. Would highly recommend this hotel as a base

Wonderful value. great location, excellent staff who couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was as good as I have ever seen in terms of variety and quantity. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. I wsill definitely return. The rooms were clean and refreshed every day with really comfortable beds.

Poor communication. Holiday experience was not as described. Shambolic, we booked this holiday as it was from Bristol. But the Airport was changed to Stansted. Then flights changed but we were not informed by Newmarket or Miles-Morgan ( who are useless). This resulted in additional time off work and night prior hotel costs being incurred (we still haven’t received the goodwill gesture promised Mid December). Also a 3 hour drive each way which we did not want. Lots of communication regarding these issues but very poor objection handling skills demonstrated by Newmarket and Miles Morgan travel. To make matters worse the “Gala Christmas “ experience simply did not happen. The Ark hotel which is located outside Verona, did not meet the expectations of many of the traveler's billeted there. No menu (apart from the pre-set Christmas offerings which really were cooked to school dinner standards), no room service, no soap, no water in mini bar, only one welcome tea and coffee in room (this is a policy) and we had to argue for more, no spare blankets, 1 spare pillow ( which were much needed as the pillows were flat). Although we were provided Ark slippers which was odd and an irrelevant gesture, Absolutely no festive atmosphere in the hotel with most of the guests incurring additional costs eating out just to get out of the minimalist, Ikea showroom reception and rooms. This holiday went wrong from the start with poor planning and communication, nobody willing to really own the problems, a very average hotel which by my wide travel experience is barely 3 star and no where near 4. Our dreams of a great Christmas experience were dashed as a result. Well done to corporate business UK, more customers duped, sold a dream, paid top buck but really, really poor value for money. The saving graces of the experience were Verona, Lake Garda, The Italians, who really do know how to provide customer service, and Luca the Newmarket rep who was really good with the old folk who had mobility challenges . Rooms good. Clean, and shower perfect. Coffee and tea facilities in room but no milk. Breakfast more than adequate, no complaints there. It was Christmas but no music to indicate so. Christmas lunch poor. Explained that I could not eat red meat but told nothing could be done. Christmas Dinner a disaster. VEAL. Roast potatoes, a poor joke. The staff certainly had to throw lots of food away that day. Christmas Crackers, don't ask. The Hotel is running on a shoestring. Receptionist assists in Dining Room. A Christmas to remember, no one to quickly forget. My fourth holiday this year and it just doesn't compare in any way with the success of the others.

Hotel is located close to center of Verona. There is a nice walk to the Arena di Verona. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good, also receptionists were nice. Bed matres was a bit too hard. We found road network in Verona quite complicated, so be patient, if you are coming with a car.

while I had breakfast in the hotel's restaurant my shoulder bag was stolen. it contained - a passport, credit cards, driving license, car keys, sun glasses and a wallet with cash. except one receptionist who helped a bit with making some phone calls the attitude of the others was very indifferent to my situation.

This could have been a good experience and review. Unfortunately our Easter booking is getting ugly as the airconditioning that was advertised and paid for IS NOT SWITCHED ON BY THE HOTEL !. We arrived to find a hot room and opened a window. Unpacked and tried to switch on the AC. Expecting we had missed a simple switch or setting we contacted reception. They advised that AC is only available on a seasonal basis and not currently switched on in line with hotel policy. No this is not a joke they use ac by calendar not by rooms being hot ***** The manager is away for the rest of the day and they advised a refund would NOT be made if we move to another hotel (not easy anyway around holiday time). They offered to move us to another room but packing and unpacking to move to another sweat box seems pointless. If you are looking at booking this hotel think carefully. Today's it's the AC they have switched off, we hope they don't decide to switch off electricity or water to the rooms as a further $$$ saving policy. VERY DISHONEST TO ADVERTISE FEATURES AND SERVICES THAT ARE NOT PROVIDED. We will post a daily update of our ongoing experience. Please let the hotel know you are reading this.
