Wonderful stay. Very clean, friendly and polite staff, perfect breakfast. Very easy to access to the train station and city centre. Will definitely come again if back to Verona. Would be better to add a kettle to the room

This should have been a better review. Asked to call a taxi…told sorry not our company policy. Then as if by magic their own driver appears. No meter and two euros plus usual charge per journey. Ate her once spaghetti undercooked and still hard. Menu same all week. The worst was the reception team. I don’t think I have ever been spoken to like that. I was not only upset but hurt. It was not pleasant. Perhaps it may do the staff well to realise tourism keeps them in a job and enables an income. Back to basics here learn to smile and if you’re not happy in your job find another away from hospitality.

Just a ten minute walk from the old town, across the river in a quiet location, the Adige Rooms were just perfect for our 2 night stay. Gianluca met us and check in was straight forward. The rooms are newly renovated with everything you need- air con, coffee maker, mini fridge, small balcony, breakfast delivered every morning. Although this hotel is marketed as 4* with non smoking rooms, the hotel rooms do smell of cigarette smoke quite badly. The room itself was appointed well but dated. The biggest downside is as a 4* hotel you would expect to have a restuarant on site, and the availability to tea / coffee facilities in the room - neither of which were available. Couldn't even get a coffee in the morning without paying for a full breakfast. The bar area was lovely. I would stay again but be better prepared to pop to the supermarket next door for snacks.

Had stayed here before only because it being very close to the airport > the rooms are nice and comfortable> as our flight got cancelled we requested for another night which they did confirm but only after reminding them 4 hours later > The staff needs to be more friendly> also after the first night had requested them that the heater (air Conditioner ) of my room did not work last night and was very cold when I come back in the evening nothing was done but they did keep the heater on of the bathroom opened so the room can get warm > but these problems especially in this cold weather should be taken care off > as we stayed here for the more than one night so had breakfast which I would say was just about nothing so great > requested for a big taxi for the airport as we had luggage but they could arrange two small one Ok but it seems that the taxi persons were not informed to where as one of the taxi just took off to the railway station without asking and in two minutes we got to know requested to go to the airport which is hardly any distance from the hotel > paid 15 euro for one taxi and this taxi guy said that he will charge 35 euro which was really strange and bad on his part > only mentioning is that please do be careful and inform the taxi person before he starts the car otherwise you will be overcharged >

My boyfriend and I stayed for 7 nights at this hotel. It was my first time in Italy but my boyfriend had been before. The hotel was OK. Choice at breakfast was average and not all the food was replenished once it ran out even with 30mins still left to go. We had very limited to no interaction with the staff throughout our stay. Would have been nice to have been greeted at breakfast or at least acknowledged. We stayed in room 231 which was OK. There was no luggage space to ease packing/unpacking which in a hotel room is a necessity. There was no tea kettle which was also extremely disappointing. Very little storage space also. One wardrobe and one integrated drawer was not enough for 2 people for a week. There was also a lot of dust which collected on the bedside tables throughout the week. I know this will be in relation to the age of the hotel and exposed beams. Also appreciate the cleaners wouldn’t want to clean around the things on the bedside table, but it was still a lot and way more than I would expect. It was nice having a bath in the en-suite and the shower was good. Although took a bit of readjustment to get into the shower with the way the shower screen was fixed which was a bit annoying. The location of the hotel was OK. There is not a lot near by. No bars or restaurants to walk to. There is a supermarket about 15 minute walk away. We hired a car for the week which was a MUST. It was a good base from the perspective of wanting to drive to the likes of Lake Garda and Modena. And also brilliant to have parking at the hotel. We got the bus into Verona twice. The stop is less than 5 minutes from the hotel which is handy. €2.80 one way cash only if tickets are bought on the bus. We bought tickets from the Tobacconist in Verona for the return journey and future trips, these were €1.50 each for single. Although, on both occasions of getting the return bus from Verona it was delayed/didn’t turn up so worth bearing in mind to expect that. Overall we had a nice holiday and didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel. It did the job for us on this occasion. We got a good deal on this holiday and think this was reflected in the price we paid.

easy online checkin. No staff after midnight but all is possible with a downloadable smart-phone-installed key. Very simple, very easy. In the morning, we were greeted by friendly staff and even though breakfast was not included in our price we still got a little take-away cake as a gift.

I visited Casa Babbuino mid July, my first three impressions where immediately positive: 1. I arrived during the night … it was very easy to get a self check in with super fast and nice communication 2. Like 5 min / 350m away from the hotel is a public parking space for 5,- a day … there was always a lot of spaces available. Next to this in the streets it might be even possible to park for free .. I am not 100% sure of that 3. When I arrived at the hotel (the entrance is not so easy to find, because there is no big name in it .. but is this beautiful green door ..) the lobby was already to tasteful arranged .. the next I noticed was the absolutely gorgeous garden … then I entered my room and it was really big, the furniture was classy and new .. large bathroom… From the hotel to the start of the “old town” it’s like 10-15 min walk .. just one street easy to find. A supermarket is like 200 m away and some restaurants are around the corner. Over all the area is very quiet. With the easy parking options it’s a good starting point to visit locations around Verona .. like lake Garda is a 30 min drive. Thanks for the nice visited and especially the gin tonic at the end. Greetings from Germany, Mario
GGuest User1. Cleanliness
- We stayed 4 nights and they didn’t clean the room for us once. Referring to some laws, but other hotels we’ve stayed at this trip all of them offer the daily cleaning service.
2. Location
- City center, easily accessible to all attractions
- We were able to store our shopping bags in between the shopping spree during the day
3. Service
- They just did things as scripted, 2 girls chorus, nothing special.
- We asked for bus information. She didn’t know. Most hotel staff should be able to provide this basic city info.
4. Amenities
- No fitness. The only good is our room #50 has balcony, extra price for that ofc.
We visited this hotel for the 4th or 5th time, we always were satisfied. But something had changed, we do not know why. Our welcome was fine, a bottle of prosecco waiting for us, just missing the cookies we had last year. We ordered the breakfast which is served on your room, and it was delivered next morning just in time. The scrambled eggs were nearly cold. In the afternoon coming back from town we missed new cleaned glasses, the used ones were not replaced, same with empty shower gel, we had to ask for nearly everything. The rest was okay, but nobody asked for our satisfaction at any time, even the departure. In the room we also had the impression that there’s the necessity for some renovation, even at some walls and the fridge with its door not closing properly. Being honest, we spent around 500 € (!) per day for b&b here! So this time we left Verona and the hotel not knowing whether we would come back in future.
GGuest UserA fantastic place to stay. Beautifully decorated and scrupulously clean. The location is perfect and just a few minutes walk into town. The owners couldn’t be more helpful and pleasant. Thank you Lenotti for making our stay in Verona so enjoyable.
LLady WI was skeptical reading previous reviews but decided to give it a try for one night during my business trip as I’m an IHG member. Having experienced staying at 5 different hotels in this city — most of them within walking distance on Corso Porta Nuova (main street leading from the train station to many main attractions) — I can say that Indigo was among one of my top 2 choices.
The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated — the headboard of the bed immediately attracted attention, striking but elegant, with paintings seemingly telling romantic tales of the city’s history; open wardrobe was clever as it made the room seem spacious while leaving plenty of space for hanging clothes and jackets especially on a rainy day.
The balcony was a super nice touch and was my favorite to come back to in the evening with a view of charming Verona at night watching people and cars passing by. Two chairs, a coffee table with blankets and a little bit of floral decorations. I spent a fair bit of time despite the cold and rain, soaking in the beautiful images which were among the most special memories I’d carry with me from this trip.
Check-in was super efficient. Anna at the reception was an absolute joy to meet and interact with. She’s super kind, thoughtful and professional in helping me with storing my suitcase as I was in a rush to catch my train to a nearby city on a rainy day; she gave clear, accurate info helping me to go to the train station within 10mins; and on the next day, kindly offered recommendations for cafes. Her passion and enthusiasm and friendliness is above and beyond many of her peers. Her genuine smile stands out from others who might be just trying to get their job done. You can tell Anna is truly exceptional and a wonderful ambassador for Hotel Indigo. Keep up the good work!
Breakfast service was super efficient, friendly, attentive. The professional and thoughtful gentleman offered multiple times coffee, tea, orange juice, etc, making sure each guest had everything needed for a good start of the day, quickly clearing dishes while guests stepped away - perfectly seamless. Truly outstanding attention to details. The restaurant offered a good variety of food choices: raw veggies are rare in hotel breakfast buffet but here they did so that was a plus in my book. Fresh fruits, muesli, (no sugar-added) yogurt and scrambled eggs were my go-to. Although I didn’t eat pastries or bread or drink Prosecco for breakfast, if that’s something you like then you’d be pleased to know they offered plenty to satisfy different tastes.
The only thing that prevented Indigo from making my No. 1 choice in Verona was the shower. I requested specifically for a shower because from the photos shared by other travelers and reviews many commented that the bath look dated and needed update. I personally do not take baths in hotels so having a new, good water pressure shower with fast efficient drain would be way more important. They did honor my request with a standup shower corner stall. However, the square-shaped shower stall area was so small that my elbows (I’m petite size female) kept knocking on the glass doors. I believe they’re scheduled for major renovation in Jan-Feb 2024 so it’d be interesting to see if they remodel the bathrooms and showers.
PPierangelo GabrieleWe stayed in this structure and, I must say, it is a hotel a few steps from Piazza Bra where the Arena is located, therefore, an excellent location. The structure is clean both in the common areas and in the room, the latter being large with a nice spacious bathroom. The good welcome, professional and helpful reception staff. Breakfast room service ... unfortunately I have to give a point not to give unclassifiable. Total lack of organization, there is no room manager to control the work of the employees, I say this because two episodes have happened to me that absolutely must not happen in a top-level hotel. First of all I approach the buffet and, wanting to get some fresh fruit, I notice that the containers of fresh pineapple and watermelon are empty, this absolutely must not happen as even before the container is completely empty it must be replaced with something already ready in the kitchen , after asking if it was possible to have said fruit I was told that they were preparing it, I assume they went to pick the fruit as everything arrived after a good 15 minutes but, that's not all, I ask a room attendant if it was possible have a coffee spoon as they were missing in both containers, my affection told me that he would have done so immediately but he continued to carry out his duties until after five minutes I went in front of the kitchen entrance asking for a teaspoon, remained perplexed by my request, they verified the lack of cutlery and began the search for crockery, after a minute, apologizing, they said they had forgotten them in the dishwasher (the excuse is worse than the accusation). Surely none of this would have happened if there had been the presence of a manager trained for this type of service. Unfortunately for errors of this type the entire structure loses value. I apologize for the length of the review but it seemed only right to explain what happened so that the management could improve the service.
Excellent hotel - parking , helpfull and profesional reception staff , spacious comfortable and clean room ,free shuttle bus to old center of Verona , very good breakfast . Everything is perfect without any remark. I eill certainly choose zhis hotel again if I come back to Verona
GGuest UserThis is a lovely hotel with good facilities.
The staff were helpful, efficient and friendly.
Loved the breakfast - good quality and plenty of choice. 10/10
A little way from the centre of Verona but there is a bus service or staff happy to get a taxi for you. Took us about 20 minutes to briskly walk to the centre.
I would happily stay again.
After being recommended to stay at this “hotel” for a course we were doing, it was a nightmare from day one. We were in a 4 bed apartment and hot water wouldn’t work for more than 15 minutes so that meant some of us were having cold showers everyday. Especially when they’d fix it at night but it was freezing again by the morning and we didn’t have time to get them to sort it as this took around an hour of our time. Despite telling them EVERYDAY that our hot water wasn’t working and the boiling was broke, it took them 6 days into our 10 night stay to do something. Everytime we would plead them to fix it or move us apartments, they lied and told us that the hotel was fully booked and would just tell us to turn the boiler on and off. The hob in our apartment barely worked, everything was dirty and smelt like a nursing home, no washing machine, mouldy dirty showers and limescale on the shower head so thick that it wouldn’t even work properly. The microwave sparked at the plug and needed to be changed, the bedsheets smelt dirty and the shutters kept jamming. On day 6 they moved us to a smaller apartment, despite paying for more and didn’t apologise or offer any compensation. When we arrived, the showers still weren’t in the best condition and the kitchen was barely supplied with any utensils to cook and then the balcony door jammed shut. When we called reception, he said they couldn’t do anything for a couple of hours despite us having washing our there and wanting to use the balcony to enjoy the sun. He then barged in 10 minutes later, not saying anything and pulling at the doors then proceeded to climb through the window to get to the balcony. We’ve constantly had to change our plans to wait whilst the staff at the hotel messed with the broken things and not know how to fix it. There was no proper engineering staff and we didn’t see any cleaners working whilst we were here. The one time our apartment was cleaned, they didn’t leave any toilet roll and left one of the rooms completely uncleaned. The staff haven’t apologised once for any of these issues, if anything they make you feel like an annoyance when they should just get their hotel sorted. It’s dirty, it’s old and it’s been a nightmare. It also looks NOTHING like the photos. It’s overpriced and promising an experience that doesn’t exist. Save your money, the hostel would probably be nicer.
