Its business suites - includes kitchen and laundry in room. Always great to have these services. Beach isnt much, think walk along rather than swim. This is one of 3-4 hotels in a row beachfront. Guests primarily those passing thru to islands, backpackers and groups. The hotels’ beachfront bars were quiet during week in May but came alive for weekend. Restaurant on top floor had great views. Service very slow in restaurants of all these hotels. Staff very helpful and friendly.

My husband and I stayed at Nalagi Hotel for 1 night as we had an early flight out and it was close to the airport and relatively cheap. Our room was spacious and clean with a small balcony. We ate at the rooftop bar which has spectacular views and a big swimming pool. Very comfortable transit hotel if you want to be close to the airport when coming from other tourist areas. (Nadi not a tourist destination for us). The concierge called a taxi for us in the morning and it cost $20FJD to the airport.

Usaia is the best employee here. His unbelievable service made my honeymoon perfect and fantastic. He recommended and taught me lots of information here in Sheraton and Fiji. Actually, we were only one Asian couple, so everything was too new for us, but bying talking with Usaia, he made us feel relaxed and better. I highly recommend Sheraton because of Usaia and his service. Thank you, Usaia. Some of the most pleasant memories from my trip to Fiji will remain about this resort! Quite by accident (I made a mistake with the name in the hotel when booking) I got into this hotel! But how wonderful everything was during my vacation, you have no idea! The hotel is in a secluded place, only the roadway is nearby and that’s it! For a peaceful, relaxing holiday - definitely the best choice! The beach is excellent - coral, but there are several sandy entrances! There are fish, crabs and starfish in the water! Snorkeling is great! By the way, the hotel provides a free kayak. Palm trees hanging over the shore - indescribable nature! The staff deserves a special word - they are very grateful to them, to these kind people who were wonderful to me and to all the other guests! These are rainbow people who love their job! I will remember you guys! I recommend staying at this hotel! I hope my experience and resume will help you!

The hotel was exactly as expected. Wonderful and friendly staff that try and make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was way better than expected and there was plenty of food and options. The room and resort were well-kept. Could it do with a total lick of paint, yes? Were there signs of wear and tear, yes. did it put us off, or should it put you off, definitely no. The reef at low tide is amazing to walk in (take boat shoes), as it is the snorkeling at high tide. Wi-fi in public areas is strong and reliable (not available in bedrooms) Are there dogs and cats in the grounds - yes - only a few and they are friendly anyway. However, if the hotel had paid for the adult cats to be neutered, they would not now have the kittens running around. The entertainment every evening is good considering they have to play to an international audience. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It is isolated i,e, there is nothing to walk to. The nearest restaurant is at the petrol station 3/4 mile away. But they had very good live music on Saturday.

I went to Crusoe's Retreat after staying at an island of Coral Coast, so we had to take a short bus ride and then a taxi to get there. The resort is located at the end of a long and winding road. When we finally got to the top of the hill prior to descending to the reception area - I was impressed by the view of the ocean. All rooms have an amazing view, unfortunately they all require a lot of walking to get to. Except for a few fairly close to the main building. This is not a deterrent for me - however, those who don't like a lot of steps should take it into consideration. The views are spectacular and the sunsets are not blocked off by anything for the higher level rooms. My seaview bure was quite roomy, had a comfortable bed, was very clean, had louvered windows, a ceiling fan, was well lit, had a deck and a spacious bathroom with quick and plentiful hot water. Also a roomy little fridge and tea and coffee making supplies. Breakfast was included - it was cereals, toast, fresh baking, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. I could also have ordered breakfast off the menu but was satisfied with the one provided. The meal plan is available - but it was recommended to me to forego it and to just order off the menu at meal time. As it turns out - I ate very well and paid less than if I had taken the meal plan. The prices are a bit higher than usual Fijian restaurants, the portions are very large and they are well prepared. The menu has a fair variety and there is a fully stocked bar. I enjoyed every meal I had there, the fish was particularly good. One can also eat or have a drink at the beach bar building, which is over the ocean. There is a unique pool, a hot tub and a very big ocean. Depending on the tide, one can walk for miles down the beach. Massages are available in a building down by the beach. Sunset cruises are available, there is snorkelling trips available and they will arrange fishing trips. During dinner and in the evening, we had entertainment which was mainly music and singing, quite enjoyable. There is a small village next door to the resort and visitors are welcome to visit. All of the staff are outgoing, friendly and knowledgeable. When I left - all the staff in the main building left whatever they were doing and came to sing me a farewell song. All in all, I was quite happy and would return to Crusoe's.

This was my first time visiting Fiji and I’m so glad I picked Uprising as my introduction to the country, its beautiful surroundings and exceptionally warm and welcoming staff. I traveled solo and felt safe at the resort the entire time. The resort itself is located in a great section of the beach. I arrived very early and the staff were able to check me in earlier, which I really appreciated. The staff are really what make Uprising special. Special shout out to all of the staff for making my stay as enjoyable as possible. Special thanks to Lo, Bill, Tamani, Mary, Millie, Andy, Emma, Elia, Manu, Mike and Josh! I stayed in the beachfront bure (villa) and enjoyed the space and privacy. However, the villas do need some renovation, especially with the bath tubs. I was looking forward to taking a bath during my stay, but the tub flooring needs to be redone. The outdoor showers were a great plus too. The food was ok, but I was expecting more seafood options. I do appreciate the activities like luvo night, fire dancing and bonfire they had and would encourage them to do more throughout the week in addition to adding standup paddle boarding, if possible. I think the location of the hotel is OK, the sea view behind is also very good, that is, we must first say hello, we want the sea view room, we are two, all on the back, and lived for 7 days. There is no change in the middle, there is parking lot in the courtyard.

GGuest UserMy wife and I spent 7 amazing nights here! The resort has everything, you don’t even have to leave! You can catch a 45 minute cab ride to port denaru for some adventure experiences of course, but so much to do here. Isikeli and Jim - as well everyone else at the water sports area were awesome! The 5 hr cruise with snorkel and wave runner safaris were definitely worth it. Joey over at the fish bar is great and pours some good drinks. Missi and Adam with activities also some great people to run into for a soccer game on the beach. Marcus was the friendliest person to run into everywhere at the resort throughout the day. Simon at the front lobby will help square you away with whatever you need. We had a lagoon view bure which was a home away from not wanting to go back home. Walk right into the lagoon from the beach or sit on your balcony while reading a book. All in all could not recommend this resort more. Safest part of the trip is was having to leave.

GGuest UserWe had a great stay at the Fiji Gateway hotel! The rooms were clean and in great condition and the showers had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water - perfect for helping us relax as we continued our trip. As opposed to other hotel rooms in Fiji, the air conditioning worked great and the safe in the room was in good working condition - something that is always important for protecting your valuables and travel documents. This was a perfect place for us to stay when we had to fly out of Nadi airport for our flight to the island of Taveuni. On this night, we ate at the restaurant which had excellent, friendly staff and good food. But the thing we remember the most about this hotel were the 2 live musicians Igenasio and Joape who play in the bar and restaurant. During our meal, I kept pausing and saying to my wife, ”listen to this awesome music”! Just about every day for the rest of our trip I kept saying to my wife, ”did I say how awesome those musicians at the Fiji Gateway hotel were?” On our final night in Fiji, just before we went to Nadi airport, we went back to the Fiji Gateway hotel to see if Igenasio and Joape were playing in the restaurant and bar area. Guess what? They were! I was beyond excited to see them and told them that we came back to the hotel just to find them. They did not disappoint and played 2 songs that we requested as well as songs requested by others. They are a great duo and they complement each other with their lead singing and harmony. We'll always remember this final night in Fiji at the Gateway Hotel!

GGuest UserWe were lucky enough to experience the Adults Only Waitui Beach Club Package which gave us a little bit more luxury of being pampered at the Spa and entry into the more sophisticated Journal Lounge. At the lounge we had daily complimentary high tea which was delightful, Bubbly with Breakfast and delicious complimentary sunset cocktails or Gin and Tonic with a beer for Hubby! The staff in the Executive Lounge went above and beyond with their service, in particular Payal who had such grace and Professionalism, Kara with her infectious laugh and Agnes who was a delight with her quiet demeanor. Mili, Loyalty Supervisor, thank you for checking with us that our stay was meeting our expectation (which it was) and giving us an insight on how the resort was travelling since Covid. Waitui Beach Club Grill...you cook an excellent steak and your staff's recommendation of the fish curry was spot on considering I hadn't tasted one before. Thank you to your staff who always made us feel welcome, especially Vau who always remembered our names throughout our stay! A big thank you to Claire too for indulging me with some French conversation which I remembered from my school days! Finally, thank you to Solo for your professionalism and friendly nature in both checking us in and out. We ran out of paper to note down more staff but please note you are all exceptional too. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!

GGuest UserOverall a poor experience. Customer service. Most of the staff are nice and friendly and have the bula spirit, however our stay was tainted by some unfriendly staff at the main restaurant by the pool, which some of the staff don’t want to help providing baby chair and just forgot about the requests after all. The restaurant staff just simply looks very unhappy or tired for some reasons. We have met some very friendly face and lovely staff, but it was unfortunate the restaurant customer service is consistently horrible. Front desk staff shows don’t show the same level of hospitality as to other hotels we stay in Fiji. Room: It’s showing it’s aged but the view is fantastic and room is well equipped and spacious, it suits well for family with a plan to cook. We notified the staff that two of the pendant lights aren’t working on day one. Yet nothing is fixed until check out. Food: We try buffet breakfast and dinners at the main restaurant and also take away from the red Buddha restaurant. Breakfast is pretty standard and average considering it’s Hilton, we stay at many Hilton hotels before, the food is one of the worst experience we had, in particular the buffet dinner, choices are very limited, it’s pretty much just a corner of food , pretty subpar comparing to Sofitel or Sheraton. Overall. With similar price it is hard to recommend this hotel to family especially with kids, the staff seems to have too much trouble to handle the demand of young kids and didn’t stand up to the great Hilton branding which is a bit of a shame. Rooms got beautiful view, foods aren’t great. The only bright spot would be the spacious hotel room.

GGuest UserThe staff are amazing, so helpful, so friendly, singing all the time, and lots of entertainment. Good options to eat; Wicked Walu was very good, and the buffet breakfast was great. We also had the romantic dinner which was a private 5 course meal at the end of the pier (500 Fijian Dollars) , which was very nice a great service from our waiter Akuila. For families I would say it was brilliant as there was so much for the kids to do, including what looked like a great kids club. For a honeymoon, it’s noisy with kids being kids, but there is an adult pool only. There is also an adult only beach but this was mostly ignored. Cocktails where great, and they have a cocktail of the day which is half the price so keep an eye out for that. The only downside for us, was that it just so happened on our trip there was work being done to the hotel, and we got woken up most mornings by the workmen drilling or hammering at 7am. For families I’m sure this wasn’t a problem as the where already awake but for a relaxing honeymoon, not so much. The Fijian lifestyle and culture is amazing, but for those who are in a rush be aware of “Fiji Time- No Worry, No Hurry”. Things can take slightly longer to get to you, but if like us we didn’t really care. Overall I would recommend this resort and I’m sure you’ll have a lovely time as we did.

GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights in a dorm, lodge 1. I had a top bunk and there wasn’t a railing so I was pretty worried about falling out. Also there weren’t any plugs inside the room - only one outside in the washroom area. Apparently the other dorm lodges do have plugs and railings though. Food is only at set times but was pretty reasonably priced! I had the split pea soup for dinner one night (5/5!) and a veggie curry the following (3/5) and a veggie burger for lunch (4.5/5). Complimentary breakfast was pretty basic but good enough! They had soy and almond milk available. There is a cute ethical shop/cafe nearby which is so nice but other than that I don’t think there’s much else within walking distance in terms of shops. The resort had daily activities to get involved with which is a bonus!! The pool was also very nice and the beach is great for snorkelling! My favourite part of the beach house was the shower in the washroom area attached to the dorm/lodge. It was an outside area but secluded and the shower pressure was insane!! And nice warm water. However, the toilet itself smelt pretty bad and I didn’t dare go near it.

GGuest UserMyself and the family stayed at the Intercontinental late May 2023 and had a lovely time. The resort and grounds are in great condition and well maintained. We had a beach view room on the ground level which was wonderful as it came with a well sized outdoor patio. The beach is amazing, one of the best I have seen at Fiji, there was the option for some waves at one end of the resort while at the other end was much calmer and shallow for a long way which was great for a 5 year old to play around in. The pools were a bit cold but that was great as meant more time in the ocean. The day beds were great and could generally one someone along the beach. Food was not bad and of course the staff were amazingly friendly again.

GGuest UserWe had a great stay. Staff was friendly and accomodating to our needs including carrying out heavy luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs. They even allowed our visitors in which I find very rare. They also carried our food up to our balcony which was great. We had the Sunset suite at the very top - awesome view! Our room was nice and clean, super nice air con in the room and lounge area. Really nice kitchen area with a massive new fridge. Very convenient with the supermarket up the road and beachfront to chill. The ocean was sooo nice and hot to swim in. Downfall: Some of the levels smell like damp, wet carpet and was really bad . Some of our dishes were so dirty and their were cockroaches in the toaster, microwave and jug. Would be great to have a volley ball net on the beach and some activities on offer for guests such as horse riding & snorkelling etc. Also some entertainment would be great as the music next door was the only entertainment we got but sometimes it was far too loud that we couldn’t sleep. There was no fire show or kava ceremony and we were looking forward to that! The food at the ghost ship bar was really good especially the pizza and curry dishes! Be good if reception could help guests find the best taxi prices as some Of the locals that stand on the road really take advantage of travellers and charge you the world. We did have a great stay in the end! I would recommend this if you want to stay near town, the airport and want to experience outside of Denarau. Denarau did get boring for me sometimes so I liked this experience this time around.

GGuest UserImmaculate Garden's. Bright clean reception area. A very warm welcome from the staff. Then it goes down hill from there! A dirty stained carpet in the corridors. The room is large, with shabby old furniture and dirty curtains. The bathroom is clean but doesn't look good, as the grouting needs attention. There is a dirty area to make your tea/ coffee...covered over by a tray!! There is a safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The air con unit is dirty. Bed is comfy but sheets have marks on them. Breakfast is very good, except weekends. When it is overrun by outside families coming in!! The pool also has screaming kids running around and jumping in....its bedlam. Avoid weekends. I would give the lovely staff 5 out of 5 but the room just scrapes a 3 out of 5. Shame the room is such a letdown. We liked the little village 5 mins walk away, try Blue Ginger cafe. There is a food court in the little Mall. Go out of the hotel, turn left, left again. There is a supermarket with a bakery attached. Lovely pizzas, eat in or takeaway for $15. For us, we would not stay at Tanoa again, we expected better.

BBeandeaOn arrival the check in went smoothly. In the room there were no towells, or kettle? There were sachets of Coffee, Tea, sugar & milk creama. I went to make enquiries at reception they were checking in a large group. Close by I saw & went to the room-service laundry room, they quickly brought me what was needed, and apologized for the inconvenience. The room is dated as in previous comments, but it is clean, with clean sheets on the beds & very comfortable. Good reception on the TV. Shower altho dated was warm and had a strong water flow. Pool was clean, a little cold but was good enough for hubby to have a little dip. Efficient car parking space. There is no restaurant here but they quickly recommended visiting Gateway Hotel next door, we went there for Breakfast & Lunch it was amazing at Gateway they had 2 local gentlemen singing with guitars, serenading the guests” just beautiful” We requested a late check out till 5pm cost us $10 an hour $60 11am-5pm. At first when I asked reception for a late check out she said $10 an hour, I said ok, she then said oh no its $30 an hour cash??? Really?? She then said come back in the morning and check with reception???? which we did and were promptly told $10 an hour and can be paid via cash or credit card. We were given a receipt on request. Situated 2nd Closest Hotel to the Airport. we had a rental car but it is in Walking Distance from the Gateway Hotel, and the Gateway Hotel is just across the road to the Airport and closer to the Airport than the Trans International Hotel. We used Google Maps, to guide us to the Hotel, it rarely gets the destination wrong, but it did this time it guided us to a Hotel furtherest away from The Airport. So its not at The Big Red Maroon coloured Hotel, its in between & closer to The Gateway Hotel. If you can afford the extra cost, then stay at The Gateway it has a beautiful flow there on entry. Plenty of car parking. Beautiful restaurant, ovely friendly attentive staff. The sour cream for the wedges tasted & looked like standard cream from a bottle? I advised the waitress she took the small dish away and came back with exactly the same thing??? They need to change their brand of sour cream, if that was indeed sour cream. Cost $91 NZD at Trans International and about double the amount at Gateway. After checking out we went back nextdoor to Gateway to relax, be serenaded and wait for our late flight.
