This hotel is the most detailed hotel I have stayed in Canada! The location is on the pedestrian street, the decoration is exquisite, the bath is full of L’Occitane, and there are two pairs of slippers! Loved, coffee is also a very good brand. Next time I go to Victoria, I will never look at any other hotels. The five-star praise is definitely worthy of it.

I stayed at Hotel Rialto in early July, and my experience was both disturbing and disappointing. On the first morning, I woke up with unexplained bug bites. Since I was only staying for two nights and had never experienced bites like this before, I didn’t report it to the front desk at the time. After returning home, I discovered bed bugs in my luggage. I captured one, had it tested, and confirmed it was indeed a bed bug. The bites I experienced during my stay strongly suggest that the infestation originated from the hotel. I emailed the hotel’s manager, Victoria, who did respond promptly by hiring a pest control company to do an inspection. While the inspection didn’t find any bed bugs, what it did reveal was far more concerning. The pest control company discovered oranges under the counter attracting odorous house ants and potentially mice. They also found mice droppings and a nest just outside the dry storage area. In the dry storage/elevator room, they noted panko crumbs and a bag of flour sitting out. While these items haven’t been compromised yet, it’s only a matter of time, given the presence of mice droppings on all the shelves. Most alarming was the discovery involving the curtains in the lounge on the Douglas Street side. Both sides of the curtains had been chewed, and nests were found inside them. The pest control company indicated that this problem has likely been ongoing for more than a year, given the amount of sebum from the mice fur on the floor beneath the curtains. Apparently, these curtains haven’t been opened in years, making them an undisturbed haven for rodents. The pest control company flagged this situation as urgent, yet it’s unclear what steps, if any, have been taken to resolve it. I now regret not reporting the bites earlier, but I was genuinely unaware of what they were at the time. I have photos of the bites and a lab report confirming the presence of bed bugs, which I’m willing to share to warn other travelers. While I appreciate Victoria's prompt response in hiring a pest control company, the issues uncovered during the inspection are simply unacceptable. These conditions point to serious ongoing hygiene and maintenance failures that no reputable hotel should have. Guests deserve a clean, safe environment, and I strongly urge management to take immediate action to address these critical concerns and take care of customers when they do have an issue.

This hotel was perfect for my husband and I. Everywhere was walkable, to the park, Fisherman’s Wharf, to the Parliament and downtown. We enjoyed the quietness of the neighbourhood and the victorian houses. We will definitely consider staying here again!

Well I'm not going to say the pillows are the fluffiest I've ever had because I always bring my own pillow, 🤣 But we enjoyed staying at the Bedford Regency Hotel in downtown Victoria British Columbia, the hotel room was very clean and very well kept. And it's right in the heart of downtown Victoria and very close to restaurants bars and shopping. It has a few idiosyncrasies like the lobby is on the second floor and the road in front of the hotel is closed during check-in hours but checking in to the hotel was not a problem. The bed was comfortable and it was not too noisy considering it is close to a few pubs. The TV was a bit high in our room for my viewing as I have neck problems but I was told next time to ask for one that is positioned lower. I liked the vintage look in the rooms. I have never come across a room that had a shower with two shower heads before.

I have stayed here twice. The price/performance ratio is quite good. The room size is suitable and it is not crowded for a family of three. The food in the hotel's own restaurant is quite good and the environment is nice. It is also a good experience to sit by the window and eat while watching the scenery on the road.

We chose this hotel at the last minute, We needed something close to the Jubilee Hospital, and needed a good price. I love the location of the Huntingdon Manor. We ended up with a Euro Loft suite, which is a room with a kitchen, sofa bed, and then 3 beds upstairs. The room had everything we needed, and would work great for a girls weekend as it sleeps 5. We had a lovely harbour view. Our rate also included breakfast, and parking which is a huge bonus! The room is a bit dated, could us some new carpet for sure. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

I'll start with the good..... free parking, hot water, power shower, daily fresh towels & coffee, iron & ironing board, good staff, microwave, kettle, Keurig, fridge. Our room was OK. However, there is no elevator. The bed creaked every time you moved, the springs were noisy & when one rolled over, the other followed suit, you both rolled together it needs a new mattress & base. The pillows were lumpy and had no substance to them even when you used two. The curtains were threadbare & paint peeling off the walls. No safe in the room. Storage & hangers are minimal. Black grout in between the tiles on the floor (needs a scrub with some grout cleaner). This doesn’t mean it wasn't cleaned as there was no hair in the sink or bath from previous occupants that we saw room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The sink was not in the bathroom but in the bedroom. Pool & sauna.....pool was warm, but it needs a clean - there were live bugs in the pool we were in it approximately 10 minutes before we got out as we were grosses out, you could not see the bottom it was cloudy. The saunas are separate, one male & one female with change room facilities we didn't use them we also didn't use the fitness room. Access to the pool/sauna/fitness room, you have to go outside, walk the path , and then re-enter the building. The on-site dining....The Loft great staff with good pub food salt n pepper pork bites were very the kitchen staff worked very hard. Live music most nights but not disturbed by it. The Coachman, we had 1 breakfast there, and it wasn't great. Apparently, the chef was Grumpy that day .... maybe that's why it wasn't great? Waitress was great. All in all staff, were great, shower was powerful & hot, bed was not comfy we won't stay here again when we visit next.

A very cozy place where you feel like at home, the friendly staffs is a great catch, the 2 girls who started at 5 am preparing your breakfast always carry a sweet smile that makes you day with great start, Gloria and Darren always take the extra mile to make suggestions for places to visit and dine caring to your preferences, the man in charge, Sam, really impressed me how far they go to make a conventional hotel business with great concern to being Green, the team there makes it different from the others and I would recommend anyone who is visiting Victoria to book yourself couple of nights there

Really like the hotel …room, facility key very well … the only unfortunate part was due to the fact of very noisy guests who party late into the night. Definitely like the hotel and we will be back.

Outstanding
GGuest UserMy husband and I have been visiting the Oak Bay Resort for many years, even when it was the older hotel! It is our haven and happy place. We come yearly, and perhaps twice a year when we can. The staff are very welcoming, and highly professional. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and placed in one of the most magnificent Ocean settings. Delicious food is served in the Snug Pub, as well as Faro’s ,who have recently added some wonderful new items to their pizza menu. And the mineral bath and spa overlooking the ocean is a great asset and one of our favourite spots. The hotel rooms are very spacious with big soaker tubs, and dreamy pillows and bedding. There are wonderful walks from the hotel . Within about 30 minutes you can be strolling along Willows Beach, or shopping in the delightful Oak Bay or Estevan Villages. What a great treat to go here!
GGuest UserScottish style hotel in great location in James Bay, walking distance to main attractions and groceries, local eatery. Room is spacious with balcony, full kitchen amenities, fast check in and attentive housekeeping.
WWEIHONGInvincible sea view, sea view, living room, room and balcony, especially sitting on the balcony to watch the sunset is very freehand. The transportation is very convenient, it is convenient in the city center, and the two-bedroom suite is fully equipped! Opposite the hotel is a lot of choices for restaurants, parking is free, but you need to check the card after you check in to enter the garage. Overall very good physical examination.
ななたはたりThere were no amenities such as slippers and toothbrushes.
Dishes, glasses, detergent, etc. will make you feel comfortable even during your long stay.
There is also a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and oven.
The room was large and had a table and closet, so it was spacious enough for multiple people to use.
It was about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to the ferry port, and there were no hills and access was good.
GGuest UserWe stayed at the Embassy Inn last weekend. We had been visiting family in the Duncan area and wanted to have a chance to check out Victoria for a day before flying home. Check in was smooth, the room was a good size, clean and had comfortable beds. A very easy walk to Government Street, Chinatown, etc. We ate in the downtown area and enjoyed taking photos of the Legislature, the VICTORIA sign and waterfront lit up at night. Breakfast was included and had quite a variety. A very walkable area and a hotel that we will return to for future visits.
GGuest UserThis is such a fun hotel! It’s near some busy roads, a mall, and a bunch of restaurants and such, which I guess is nice, but it’s pretty noisy and you’re not going to get a great view from your room or anything.
BUT! Where to start? The rooms are clean. My kids and I loved the comic book, stickers, yo-yo, and rotary phone in our room. The hot tub is a little small, but guess what? You can soak in it and keep an eye on your kiddos as they enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool and water slide!
Inside the lobby, you can find myriad board games, ping pong, “bowling,” Wii, and even old school typewriters in which you can pluck out that novel you’ve been keeping in the back of your head. The lobby Coffee is better than any in-room coffee another hotel might offer.
And speaking of the lobby, the staff here is 110%! I got what I thought was an automated text asking how my state was so far. I said “meh” because we had just checked in and I wasn’t impressed with the area. I got a response from a real person right away! She provided answers to my questions and concerns and even delivered earplugs and silverware and cups to my room later when I needed them! When I was teaching my kiddo how to use a typewriter, the front desk staff didn’t hover over us or anything, just let us do our thing.
Last, the little restaurant (open for breakfast and lunch) has a killer breakfast menu and such friendly staff!
GGuest UserI went to Victoria with my friends, mainly because it is cost-effective. It is four or five kilometers away from the provincial government and Chinatown. The hotel has breakfast for an additional fee. There is no place to have breakfast around, so you need to drive nearby to eat. We are driving out to play, so it does not affect , still quite satisfied
林林In fact, the sanitary conditions of the hotel are still good, but the hotel is relatively old, but the room is still relatively large, the two beds are quite large, if you are not picky about staying 4 people is also very easy. The facilities are quite complete, and there is a small kitchen for cooking. The front desk service is good and there is a parking lot. The advantage of the hotel is away from the port, city hall, Chinatown, Biganshan Park (the starting point of Canada’s famous Highway 1 is here, the park is very large and beautiful), and it is also far from Craig Darok Castle Not far. Personally, I think it's a good place to rest during the trip, and it's also cost-effective abroad.
