I loved everything about this hotel. The rooms were immaculate. Super comfortable bed, and a seemingly newly renovated bathroom. The staff were all incredibly friendly. I liked the location, being just a couple of minutes walk to the Patuxay monument, local restaurants and supermarkets. I would, however suggest to download either Indrive or Loca APPs for transport, as getting to the main tourist area near the Mekong, malls etc is a long walk, and right now the temperatures are close to 40 degrees, so not pleasant....but with those taxi apps you can get pretty much anywhere in the downtown for $1.50~$2. Overall a great hotel, and definitely recommended.

The hotel is very clean. Recommended for tourists, you can walk and take pictures of Pratu Chai. There is a restaurant next to the school, near the embassy residences of various countries. The staff are good and clean. The school can call for a car.

⭐︎Facilities⚪︎ ⭐︎Staff⚪︎ This is a hotel of a class that even Japanese people can have peace of mind with. I booked this hotel because I like retro hotels from the French era. It's quite clean, so it may not be a French building, but I wanted to stay near Patuxai, which was one of the reasons I chose it. I thought that a place in the 3,000 yen range would be okay for an old French-era building, but after doing some research, I found that prices were cheap and the security was at a level where you had to be a little careful, so I thought it would be dangerous to stay in a place that was too cheap, so I chose this one, which was a little more expensive. During the day, I was greeted by a kind but efficient staff member who looked like Sota Fujii. The request at the time of booking was confirmed, and I was on the third floor, which was higher up and had a view of Patuxai? It was the second from the top. The sink and other equipment were American something, and the other equipment was made by Japanese manufacturers, so I felt at ease. There were no clogs in the sink or shower. It's simple, but for around 6,000 yen with breakfast included, I feel fine. However, since I was leaving the country at around 11pm, I wanted to leave my luggage after checking out and, if possible, use the spa or a shower in an empty room. Late check-out was a perk, so I decided to check out at 2pm. I told the guy at the front desk, who looked like Sota Fujii, after breakfast and he said that the next customer was coming. I was planning to go out until check-out and come back to pack and take a shower, but before 2pm, they came to put the suitcase of the next customer in my room... I didn't think it would be that early... I hurriedly got ready and got off around 2pm, but the next customer was yelling at him, "We've been waiting for 15 minutes already! What's going on with the previous customer!" I suppose it's my fault for getting ready so late, but the other rooms were empty so I wondered why they chose the same room...lol Maybe they're deciding which rooms to use to cut costs. The cleaning seemed to be good. I gave him some sweets as an apology, but he gave me a wry smile... (By the way, they were decent ones in a box that cost less than 1,000 yen. But I gave a matcha Kit Kat as a souvenir to the staff at the hotel entrance, and I was surprised that it costs 300 to 400 yen in Japan but 1,000 yen in Laos at the shopping mall) I left my luggage and went out again, and when I returned at night, another male staff member in his 30s or 40s had been replaced. When Fujii Souta said he would pay a certain amount to use the shower, he agreed, but he said he didn't know the amount yet, so I asked him, and he said he didn't know either. But when Fujii Souta said he'd ask the night staff, I thought, "50,000 kip (just under 500 yen) is fine! Easy!" He let me into an empty room on the second floor. While I was taking a shower, when we were exchanging the payment, the staff member said, "We have to clean up after using the shower," so maybe it was 15!? I was mistaken! ? The hotel costs over 6,000 yen, so I left about 2,000 yen for the shower. I thought it would be 150,000 yen (about 1,500 yen) He said that giving 150,000 yen would be too much. He said 100,000 yen would be too much. It seemed like 50,000 yen would be fine. He said he didn't have any change, but while he went to look for it, I had some money on hand, so I was able to get it for 50,000 kip. But it actually felt like it was 150,000 yen... (My English is not that good, so I usually check with a calculator and negotiate) It's okay because it was cheaper. He also said he would call a taxi for me, so I asked him to and gave him a small tip. He said he called it through an app (cheap) and told me how much it was, but I couldn't hear him very well, so I looked confused and he said 100 (100,000 kip) would be fine. It ended up being cheaper again This staff member seemed to be just like the people in taxis, so I was annoyed that he seemed to be haggling lol Well, it's cheap, so it's okay. Since it was an app, it was like a regular Uber, but I handed the payment to the driver. I don't know how much the staff took later. By the way, the taxi from the airport was just over 1.3 million yen, so I knew it would be cheaper on the way back, but I thought 1 million kip was still pretty cheap. It might actually be cheaper if it was an app, but... I was a bit confused about that, but I knew the amount and they handled it properly, so it was fine. For sightseeing from the hotel, Patuxai is just a short walk away, so you can catch a tuk-tuk there. However, it might be better to find a place a little further away, such as the people resting on the street just before the park. When I asked the main people in the park how much they were charging, they were quite ripping me off, so I didn't even feel like negotiating. (They charged over 1,000 yen for a distance of a few hundred yen) The water, shampoo, and body soap provided were OK. I usually bring my own shampoo, but when I used the hand soap this time, it didn't lather very much, so just for reference. The bed is quite high, so it may be difficult for short people or people in wheelchairs to get on. The chairs seemed high as well... The balcony was lovely!

The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the Arc de Triomphe, and you can walk to the Arc de Triomphe to watch the musical fountain at night. The service is also very good, the front desk staff is very friendly, helping us book a taxi to the train station in the morning and pack breakfast.

Well located but, contrary to advertised, not much English is spoken (luckily, the owner's daughter was home from Uni and spoke English very well). The tv didn't work which (for a solo traveller) was disappointing. The breakfast was a bit scant but okay.

Old French Colonial style hotel charm. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. Stay was okay. Hotel is next to a school so noisy during the day, dogs barking at night if you are on non-city view room. Hotel restaurant is only open for breakfast and breakfast is not a buffet style. Three choices from their menu. Note: This hotel does not have any rooms with "2 bedrooms." Two beds, but not two bedrooms as advertised.

Nice clean and old fashion hotel. Rooms are locked using a key, old fashioned-LOVE IT! Recommended if staying in Vientiane.
